thats my roster
I think that he has great hands as well as crisp route running and is not afraid of going through the middle and getting clobbered. We can use as a KR/PR as well. Ozzie always has a great draft this guy was a 6th rounder I believe. Watch out for waller he is 6 ft 6 and ran a 4.43 he is raw but in a year or two he could be next perriman as our starters ohh btw he was 6th rounder too what a coinsidence
I can see him making the team mainly for ST and to add depth. I hope we wont need to much depth so Will Hill and Kendrick Lewis play all 16 knock on wood. I saw a comment about webb I agree I think melvin might take his spot he is 6 ft 2 as well as Lockdown Jimmy smith that would give good size on the outside. Another problem I have with webby is his off man coverage. We need to press on the outside.
flacco looks like he put on at least 15lbs of muscle and I just pray we can get through camp and pre season without a mjor injury I hate pre-season because of that. I think Flacco is under rated The stat I care about most is Ws and he gets them. He is a lot more poise, he seems to have eliminated thoseOhh NO JOE plays lol. For any QB going through 4 ocs in 4 years has gotta be tough. I remember dutler last year saying it takes 3 years to fully know a playbook lol maybe he start actually out work in the playbook. I couldnt be happier to have Joe Cool running the ravens offense.
Timmy J is going to solid player as long as he can stay healthy. Loosing urban sucked but I think it could be for the better so steven means can make the team. I think our D-line is going to fun to watch season is almost here I cant wait Lezzzz Goooo Ravensss
I think our team has some really good young players at the dline a solid oline and back ups. Our running game with forsett,LT,Buck allen should be very explosive.joe has a talented WR group. Perriman and waller pluse aiken smith and brown. joe is going to have a break out year and i think we will have a top 10 offense and defense and that will get us to the playoffs baring injurys. Kendrick lewis is going to be a ball hawk and elam is going to be in on sub packages and play well plus arrington. Our pass rush is going to be very interesting with KPLM brent urban sean means and jerrnigan. our lbs are very good as well mosley smith and brown. I see us going to the super bowl. But it starts with denver i cant wait to see peytons look on his face when we swarm him and shut down the run and show our physical play GO RAVENZ
Well lets say I hope it doesnt end with a 14 point collapse in foxborough. Honestly we have a young physical fast football team. A good mix of vets and youngsters quality depth at most positions. Starting O-line is back re signed forsett got buck allen and a slimmer LT, not to mention a new OC that loves throwing screens out of the backfield. WR Breshard perriman TE Maxx Williams and Zadarios Smith aka Mcphee 2.0, basically a strong draft. Marc tressman is the biggest question ozzie builds the roster year after year harbaugh coaches now tressman will call plays and impliment his scheme. So what will the expectations for this team in 2015. Mine are go win the north hopefully go 11-5 and let joe do his thing with our tallent it is superbowl or bust to me.
its about time we get respect espically from somone from espn. But we have high hopes for this team i really see us being a force to be reconed with. If we can stay healthy even if we cant we do have a lot of young depth. This year will sart with a W in week one on the road against denver.
pitta is going to hang up his cletes but if he doesnt we could line up gillmore williams waller and perriman and have 3 red zone targets above 6ft 5in. Plus some really deadly 2 tight end sets.
im pulling for nick perry FS and the both OLBs
Im going to say plus but I wished we moved up and snagged Quentin Rollins in the 3rd because we could of got a DT in later rounds. Other then that maybe instead of TE Nick Boyle maybe a DB just for depth. But I was looking at our roster and we have big physical fast corners Asa, Melvin, Greenwood, Walker. All of these corners are 6ft and above accept Asa but he is a good nickel DB. Our offense should be humming as long as we can get on the same page early. WE have had 4 OCs in 4 years. That shows that our offense can adapt quickly. If we can dominate running the football with our 3 good RBs. Let the defense do its thing play fast physical and create more TOs. I am interested in the Mcphee 2.0 OLB he is bigger and faster and did a lot of the dirty work so Dupree can get to the qb. I cant wait for the season to start in denver and show the AFC what WE are about. Ohh I predict Breshard has a huge game and Maxx williams scored at least 1 td
there will be DBs cut through out training camp that ozzie keeps his eyes on and tends to find a diamond in the rough. For instance Corey Graham, Will Hil last year. So when ozzie says its not finished im sure the ravens staff and ozzie will keep there eyes out. Who knows Greenwood, Melvin, walker area all over 6 ft. The only 2 corners on our roster that arent above 6 ft is webby and Asa. I personally see our DBs on the roster area all quality players that have size and speed.
Here it is then
Pick 1
Breshard Perriman D
Here's the deal. He is without question the biggest boom or bust guy in the 1st round. He could really be an exceptional talent or he could just be one of many combine warrior flops. He is the biggest wildcard in this draft..thats how risky he is.
Pick 2
Maxx Williams A +
Pretty much the perfect tight end in the making. Does it all. Runs perfect routes..exceptional hands and catch radius and clutch. Good blocker and will only get better. A go to target. Best pick of the draft and a franchise tight end for many years to come.
Pick 3
Carl Davis B
The value is there. If he had been picked in early rounds i'd have given this a D-E grade. His biggest issue is technique and motor. Thats not a small thing. He has the potential to be a solid starter. Can he be an elite level player? I don't know..a motor is important to be that.
Pick 4
Za,darius Smith A
Terrific value and an all-round talent with excellent measurable. Sets a mean edge and can rush the passer. Tough and with a mean streak. Could be an upgrade over upshaw. His pass rush is decent and he can move around the line well.
Pick 4
Joviorious Allen C+
Solid..fills a hole..nothing special. Serviceable and can catch out of the backfield.
Pick 4
tray walker N/A
no idea..unless he's one of those best kept secrets that was destined to be picked at any moment after us i don't see great value here..there were a lot of options
Pick 5
nick Boyle F
A wasted pick. You can find guys like this in practice squads everywhere. Could have picked any tight end at this point and it wouldn't mean much. There were better players on the board. Worst pick of our draft based on need and ability plus value.
Pick 5
Robert Myers C
Seems sluggish on tape. Haven't seen enough..
pick 6
Darren Wall A-
At this stage you're lucky to find anything but solid depth. He has great measurables and that alone with a soft pair of hands make this excellent value.
Overall I give this Draft a B-. We missed out on quite a lot in the latter picks but we have 1 sure starter in Maxx and a couple of other guys who could well play their way in as starters too.
I dont thin you realize breshard perrriman is a A he had a shank throwing to him and was the best WR on his team. He led the nation on 3rd and 4th down conversion percentage wise. Watch his highlight real and picture joe flacco throwing to him. Ohh and im not going to break down evrything just say we had a solid draft and cant wait to uss get A- B+
Za'Darius Smith really isn't that far off from Bud Dupree froma production stand point, Smith had 6 sacks in 2013 and Dupree's big season last year he had 7.5 sacks. I think Dupree is more fast twitch and better at speed rushing and getting sacks but Smith is better at collapsing the pocket and using his size and strength to control the line of scrimmage.
Dupree is definitely the better prospect and projects as a 34 OLB but we got good value on Smith in the 4th. The scheme fit is a bit concerning, I'm assuming he will be a 34 DE, but the kid plays like a Raven, should be a solid contributor in the rotation.
I think he will be used as a pernell mcphee after he gets more athletic he has fight in him. I see him playing in sub packages and pass rushing situations to swallow up a few blockers do the dirty work for suggs an doom. We drafted urban last year and year defore that KPLM has yet to play a snap for us. I like the RB out of use I watched him a lot because i live in CA. The DB is raw but jimmy will mentor him both have similar size. But overall we have had a great draft. I just wished we got quetin rollins and maybe that De/OLB from towson as a undrafted fa and that corner from oregon.
yup then we snatch a big TE to top off icing on the cake, brother. Flacco launches 'em all season.
i think if we can snatch maxx willliams or clive worford or even TE/WR devin funchness or the TE out of ohio st in the later 3rd
if not I think we go Dline or CB from utah PJ williams or maybe even jalen collins if we can snab gregory early or mid 2nd round i would move up for him if he gets to the middle of the 2nd
watch is highlight video he has some shank throwing to him imagine what flacco is going to do with this wapon it will free up steve smith and the middle of the field with his big threat capability. Joe loves throwing deep so it willl be very intersting torry simth 2.0 project pans out we strike gold if not he was by BPA at 26. I htink we got great value,ID like to see us get gregory early or wait for that DB from utah Eric rowe quentin rollins. But welcome parriman play like a raven and everything will pan out
Lets add: You can't have a successful QB,RB and WR corp without a solid O line. That parameter should be included in the overall views. Your O line is either good and anticipates or they let the QB get the hits. I knew Cutler ate plenty of turf last year.
I agree footballl starts with the o-line and line is solid and can pass protect as well create holes in the running game. juan castillo is the o-line coach trestman is the oc so i dont really no how you got on the subject of the o-line. Trestman will do what he is told he wasnt brought here to create or install his offense. It was to mimic kubs system and he knows football I like the hire. I hope offense comes out homming against denver in game 1. If he we get shane ray or randy gregory on the field with sizz and doom with healthy corners. We are going to be tough to beat.
Joe not Steve young but Marc Trestman has had success with other quarterbacks in the league not name Young.
Steve Smith is not Jerry Rice but I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to put up 1,000+ receiving yard season again.
trestman was brought here for one reason only and that is to basically mimic kubs strtch zone run scheme and implement the west coast offense that relys heavily on the run and play ation.Maybe he will put more screens in and put some of his touch in the system. Jay cutler and joe flacco are completly different QBs joe is smarter and doesnt force plays like cutler did all the time and cutle always throws off his back foot and really doesnt have good footwork period. I think its a great hire he didnt earn the nickname the quarterback whisper for not having success in this league and career. Joe should out up 4000 and yes it would be nice to grab somone like odgb or stfon diggs in the 2nd or 3rd maybe even lockett or phillp dorsett devon smith all would make an immediate impact. Id personaly like odgb we have never had a reciever with the 6 ft 5 from and speed im sure the ravens have a plan in ozzie we trust
Curious to see how the majority feels about trestman now that he will be running the offense? Optimistic? And how well do you think he will get along with joe and mold with the rest of the players/ coaches? I'm still kind of on the fence- but right now I'm thinkin it could go one of two ways - complete success or complete bust. No in between. I can see our offense either taking off and even topping our numbers from last year with kubiak, finally getting joe over 4000 yards, really utilizing marlon in the redzone , and averaging 30 points a game. OR- the offense is a complete dud, drives constantly stall out due to bad playcalling, and trestman never really clicking with joe and there bein kind of an awkwardness there. Not sure what to think- haven't heard much about him or from him since the interview when he first signed on. I never followed the bears much either so not sure what to expect other than the fact hes known for being aggressive. I just hope he's being proactive getting to know the team and what not. Just something to think about during the long and boring drawn out period before the draft. What y'all think?
trestman was brpught here to mimic kubs offense and I think joe will get along with anyone he is such a cool dude.trestman didnt get the nickname the qb whisperer for nothing. I think he will do exactly what he was brought here to do implement a system very similiar to kubs. Joe throved last year so this year i see him topping 4000 espically if we get a nice new weapon.odgb would be nice or marcus peters 1st and trade up in the 2nd and odgb.
I thought we woud get bowe but we didnt i think we draft jalen strong and sign crabtree or knicks.Other then that I like the fact we are building through the draft and getting youngerand faster
Now that time has passed can we land stevie johnson or bowe.My opinion Stevie johnson is the right player he a is a torrey smith 2.0 fast, good hands, polished route runner.Torrey only really had the jets on go routes. He didnt run the full route tree but he was great for bmore while he was here but he isnt so now MOVE ON

benard pollard aka the hitman was perfect saftey in the game back when we won the superbowl but every year the game does shange and if teems find wholes they will expose them. Kam chancellor is the games best SS in the gaem today. But Will hill if he stays healthy we needed a SS that didnt only blow coverage but lay the wood when he hits. I was happy to see darian stewart gone he didnt fit our team and was natural SS playing FS. I think this move and signing Kendrick sures up our backend and I do think melvin is going to end up outside just because both are press man corners.
