So leading your team to 10 playoff wins and a Superbowl in the span of 8 yrs........then going through what only seems to be a brief couple years of rebuilding before becoming contenders again is grounds for firing? I don't know the exact stats but I would venture to say Bill Belichik is possibly the only head coach in the NFL with more wins than Harbaugh since he came in the league....Maybe one morea as well. Point being a very large majority of NFL fans haven't even been able to watch their team even win one playoff game let alone 10 and a Superbowl. I'd like to see how your fan life would be as a Browns, Lions, or even Bengals fan lol. Honestly as Raven fans we have been completely spoiled with being able to watch a competitive team. Trade or cut Flacco, Suggs and Smith lol? That is the most absurd bs ive ever seen. You just named quite possibly the 3 hardest players on our entire football team to try and replace. My mind is blown......Good thing I can confidently just always say in Ozzie I trust. Our team isn't that far from competing again.... just be patient this league is designed to make sure teams have far less success than the Ravens have managed to sustain. Sorry for the rant but just look up how many QBs in the history of the NFL have more playoff wins than Flacco. And his playoff days are just around the corner have some faith.
Also we still might be signing Williams.....Not to mention with a decent draft to shore up CB,WR,and LBs the Raven D will be a top 5 defense again. So to say iyr team is gutted is massively and insanely overblown. The science behind running an NFL FO is very complex and although we may think we know what needs to be done I promise you 9 times out of 10 they have the better idea as to what needs to be done in order to sustain the franchise's success.

Of course that assumes we get 2 more offensive lineman that can play with Yanda and Stanley and hopefully sign Mangold. Otherwise it won't matter if we have jerry rice, joe montana and calvin johnson.....flacco will be running for his life before he goes out with a career ending injury. I guess he cares more about money (that he will never spend) than winning and his health. For such a smart guy he is behaving very stupidly. Every good QB that wants to win should be looking at what Tom Brady did.....took a huge pay cut to build a great team around him. i guess Joe either doesn't care or doesn't believe a better team will make a difference. In either case he should just retire and play with his kids for the next 20 years.....he is obviously not really a team player. Mallett can get to 8-8 at 1/10 the price.
This should be the end of the Harbaugh era. He had a real good run but it is obviously over....5-11, 8-8 and this season will be much worse. The team has been gutted with the loss of Brandon Williams and Rick Wagner.....and I mean really gutted. These 2 embodied the young and physically dominant ravens. The sad fact is that they cannot and will not be replaced with guys of equal talent leaving a more mediocre team.
The only hope for the Ravens is cut or trade Flacco, Smith, and Suggs to develop some cap space and get higher draft picks. This should be a rebuilding year, to say the least. Flacco, Smith and Suggs have done nothing for this team in the last few years and are making way too much money. There is Nothing to lose by giving younger and hungrier players a chance to shine.

Do you not understand what Woodhead brings to he table for Flacco? When healthy he is a very dynamic receiving back who can be a great safety net. If he stays healthy watch the games and your question will be answered. Although u don't know the exact contract numbers so I should delay any judgements.

1. Williams isn't even on the field for roughly half of the defensive snaps. Which you probably don't know, because I don't think you watch the games.
2. Suggs is staying. He's more than good enough for what he gets paid.
3. Jimmy isn't getting traded or cut, because he's very clearly the MVP of this defense. What practically any game where he's on the field vs one's where he's not... the difference in the defense is staggering. Would have thought fans would have learned this after last season, but again, that would require them to watch games.
4. You're not getting two top tier corners because there aren't any available and they're too expensive, especially when a lot of the moves you advocated would cost us more cap space than create it.
5. Flacco can't restructure practically anything, because there's only $6M of his salary this season that is touchable. Again, you're wasting your time even talking about Flacco, because nothing is going to change there. Stop whining about it.
6. Mallett has shown nothing in actual games that he could lead even a good team to an 8-8 record. He played for a pretty talented team in Houston and went 2-4. He's a backup QB prototype.
Yes lol. I love it. Exactly my feelings on some of the unrealistic overreacted thoughts.

Jefferson is a great first step. Pay Williams whatever he wants,,,,,he makes everyone around him a better player while eating 2 blockers and closing up the middle of the defense. if we don't resign Williams this team will be lucky to finish 8-8. He is a freakish talent that can not be replaced. Give him a 10 year deal for 80 million..........or whatever.
Last year the defensive front seven was one of the deepest and most talented in the NFL and won a lot of games for us. The secondary let us down especially when the china doll ( Jimmy Smith) exited for his regular stint at polishing the pine. Also accept that Suggs is done...no longer a dominant player and now barely effective. Cut or trade Suggs and Smith. Arrington and Wright were appropriately cut as should be Dumervil and Webb.
Getting rid of these players leaves a lot of holes as does the loss of Orr.
We need 2 top tier corners.
We need a bad butt middle lb to play with Mosely
We need 2 top tier corners to play with Young.
We need 4-5 DL/LB to play with Pierce, Jernigan and Guy.
We have to assume Corriea and Kafusi are busts along with Davis.
Z Smith should be given a chance to show he can dominate or be let go.
To fix this team Flacco needs to restructure,,,,,,,,,if he doesn't cut him and go with Mallett...he can get us to 8-8 at 10% of the price.
I agree Williams is an absolute beast in the middle and I hope we can keep him but if he walks I think our run D will still be solid and honestly think a couple more good FA and a good draft could make this D a very very dominant one. . Pierce although not on Williams level seems to be an undrafted gem.....Guy is a FA but I do like our D line depth and I see Jernigan as an up n coming stud. I do however disagree saying this early that Corriea and Kafusi are already busts. Kafusi was on IR from the get go and Corriea had a very hard task of having to learn multiple positions at once as a rookie.....This yr we will get to see what he's made of as I see him being able to zone in on one position n the chance to be starter next to Mosley. Also agree that finding 2 long term solid CBs to solidify our secondary is priority (have 1 shutdown CB in Smith till he leaves the field n we get torched so we need depth) and then Young looks like he can hold down the starting slot. I hope they draft one RD 1 or 2 and also pick up a top tier FA. My biggest worry of all tho is potentially not having a good enough pass rush cuz an elite QB will shred our secondary apart regardless of who we find to put back there if we cant. I do have to say I STRONGLY disagree about your Suggs and Flacco being cut suggestion tho. Suggs when healthy is still a very good player who basically excels in every area of the game as well as being a leader...... If he stays healthy mark my words he will still put up 10+ sacks and as always be among the best OLB stopping the run. And lastly I don't know why so many people have such a hard time realizing we are in a far better position than roughly half NFL teams paying Flacco 20 mill a yr and having a franchise QB rather than scrambling for QB solutions year in and year out wasting draft picks. Im not saying Flacco is one of the best but if he's surrounded with the right pieces hes one of maybe 12 or so QBs who even possess the ability to win a Super Bowl (as history has shown). I promise you Mallet doesn't win a Bowl in 2012 or win anywhere close to the 10 playoff wins Flacco has amassed. I'll admit the regular season can get pretty ugly at times but hey they call him January Joe for a reason. Let's be real here they haven't exactly brought him stud receivers or a consistent rushing attack. I don't miss the Kyle Boller days I can tell you that lol. This team isnt very far from being a contender again...A dynamic playmaking WR would be a start and of course shoring up the o-line.
MARK my words people.....the Ravens will stop the run with the best of them. Everyone needs to stop with this doubting we can stop the run. We may have lost Ngata but I honestly think we will be even better at stopping the run this year. Our front 7 is damn good and the depth out D-line has with become evident when we are once again in the top 10 in yards per rush allowed just like every other year. So people remove the head from yourself and get it straight........our run D is dominant.
Upshaw is absolutely not a bust a d anyone who knows football knows that he is very appreciated and does exactly what's expected of him. He is an excellent run stopper and mainly is used only for that purpose. Given the chance I think he could get some sacks as well it's just that he isn't on the field for pass rush purposes. So people......STOP with the bust or we don't need him talk. Cuz truth be told we need and should want him more than most people have been showing. His stats and play on the surface may not be flashy but what he does for our Ravens D is very very productive. A defense that in my opinion is going to be significantly better this year even with losing Ngata.
To terrynjulia03........do you not realize how good of a linebacker Daryl Smith has been for us and how high of a level he had played? He has absolutely stepped in and did about as good of a job trying to fill the greatest linebacker of all times shoes as best as one could ask for. Arthur Brown has been behind Daryl on the depth chart for good reason. He has been one of the most consistent and solid defensive players on our team over the last few seasons. He is so underrated and underappreciated as a player by too many fans.

Yeah I hate winning playoff games and a Superbowl too........You must miss the Kyle Boller days like me......He was a stud lol. Idk bout you but come playoff time Flacco has what it takes to win games given he's surrounded with the right pieces. Although I'll admit during the regular season things get pretty ugly at times.... but I think the lack of what he has to work with at times is as much to blame as his poor play.
