  1. This article format was decided long before we knew the Ravens would win or lose their first game.  I have never seen such a bunch of crybaby fans as exist in Baltimore when they are losing.  This is humor, granted silly, but humor.  If Ravens football has left you in such a foul mood you cant enjoy a little silliness, maybe your better off as a Browns fan.  After all, misery does love company.

Why do you think its necessary to dictate to other Ravens fans how they should think, act, and feel?  (i also saw your post on the other board doing the same thing) Just because people have a different view of the Ravens than you do doesn't mean they are any more or less of a fan.  You are really the one that needs to lighten up a little bit and stop going on tirades about what a ravens fan should or shouldn't do.

  2. I think the anticipate Schaub playing himself back into a starting role pricing himself out of Baltimore... Mallet is more in the mold of Flacco in terms of arm strength... doubt they are planning on benching Schaub he actually gives us the best chance of winning going forward as he has the best chemistry with the WRs

Did you see the game on Monday?  What part of Schaub's play makes you think he will play himself into a starting roll?  I mean I think he's a great back up and all but a team would have to really be desperate to play him as a starter

  3. Wow, I totally forgot about M.Brown. Cant wait to see Daniel Brown make some big plays. Eugene Monroe is almost non-existent, him and Zuttah are a liability. And Maxx Williams, I said during pre season that he is a great TE but I noticed his running technique puts his body at risk for injury. He runs way too loose. I'm pretty sure Harbaugh is the coaches are getting on him for that. Boyle is looking like our solid dependable TE.

Actually Monroe plays well and has a positive PFF grade.  It is Wagner that has not been playing up to his ability after the great first year he had.

  4. Agree Daniel Brown should at least get a chance...so what if in pre-season he only played against scrubs, he still caught the balls, looked good on special teams, and he is big and fast..The receivers we have do not impress me one bit, I think he cannot be any worse and maybe a surpise...and hey why did we not get Wes Welker when we had a chance, can he be washed up..sometimes I question are evaluators..

i know people question the evaluators but cmon, they know much more about the players than any fan.  They get to see them practice day in and day out.  Brown will never make it in the nil, he played at a low level college and he just isn't good enough. Look at the players that have been brought up over him.  Daniel had two maybe three good plays against a lot of players who didn't make their teams roster.

  5. The entire conversation was about giving Givens a fair shot, I agree we need to STOP comparing him to Torrey.  Let him prove he can make a difference, and to refresh people's minds about why Torrey isn't here anymore...  Just sayin'.  Others were remorsing Torrey's departure...  not me, that's for sure.

P.S...  That one catch was the only chance we had at that point, and yes, would have won the game.

    i am "remorsing" torrey's departure

  6. That's not true at all. Torrey rarely went after the ball with his hands. He usually waited for it to come to him. Last year, when he made what may have been a season saving play when he went up over Joe Haden and made a contested catch, he even said himself that he had been waiting for the ball to come to him too often, and he decided he was going to go up and get it this time. Most of the time, he would let it come down to his body, which is why he rarely made contested catches. He never did have soft hands, and he was never a natural at using his hands to snatch the ball out of the air.

look at any of his highlight tapes he catches the ball 95 percent of the time with his hands.  women lie, men lie, numbers don't lie

  7. NC, you're right....  It is possible.  We have just acquired a guy that we actually needed at the beginning of the season.  They have said that in not so many words.  Ross and Givens both have shown glimpses of what they are capable of.

I think people are give Ross and Givens a bit too much credit.  Givens is a number 3 receiver at best and Ross is a number 4.  I like optimism but be realistic.

  8. Somebody really needs to explain to me what the difference is between Hardy having a job and Rice not even getting a workout. Two different attitudes about DV. Rice being contrite and apologetic and Hardy being brash and ignorant. I just do not get it.

Its pretty simple.  The last year that rice played he had a terrible season.  That combined with the fact that running backs fall off in their late twenties and younger cheeper options are available led to Rice not getting a chance.  This compared to hardy who plays a premium position in which he dominated the last full season he played.

  9. drop marlon brown and bring up daniel brown... shouldve happened sooner though

Im not sure why people are so high on Daniel Brown.  Didn't he only have one good preseason game against bad competition.  The coaches see what he does everyday and obviously he can't cut it.  We also wouldn't  have brought in Givens or Morgan if they thought he could compete.  He's just a guy on the practice squad, nothing more.

  10. @Billiejean, yeeah they cut him because Antonio Brown,Martavis Bryant, Sammie Coates(Speed Demon drafted last yr), Dariud Heyward Bey(Former first round pick, speed demon showing up... Markus Wheaton WR...

So Steelers have 5-6 freaking WRs because they drafted and brought in guys that Dri Archer isnt even getting a shot

Not to mention the fact your entire argument is flawed.  If the Steelers thought they had too many receivers why would they add Jacoby.  It is telling that they thought Jacoby, who is having a below average season would be better than Dri.

Im not sure if you have followed Darius Hayward Beys career.  Yes, he was a first round pick for the raiders but was taken way way way to early by Al Davis because he had speed.  He has been pretty terrible for the majority of his career.  And the fact Dri couldn't beat him out says a lot about Dri's ability.  The other thing that you may have forgotten is that Dri himself was a third round pick in the 2014 draft and the fact that the steelers are giving up on him already is not a good sign.
