@RavensDieHard21 l think Brooks stays he's positive Elam and Kendrick Lewis are the ones gone. Webb stays so it should be Brooks, Webb, Weddle, and Will Hill.
they aren't going to cut brooks or elam they are still on their rookie deals. we wouldn't be saving much by cutting them. If they do get cut it will be in the roster cuts right before the season starts.
It looks some player(s) might be on their way out. To crowded in that back end.
Brooks will be cut I feel, Elam has to show he has improved in coverage, which outside of his poor tackling in 2014, he was a semi-solid safety even though he was being asked to do a lot as a young player. Webb will have to take a pay cut or we must find a way to get creative with his skills or sadly let him go too.
why would they cut brooks? he's on his rookie deal. that wouldn't make sense
I encourage everyone to check out his Top 100 highlights on youtube to give you an idea of what he brings to the table. This is the best FA move we have made since signing SSR and trading for Boldin.
everyones highlights look good

You know you gonna have to double team Brandon Williams, imagine Suggs, Doom,Jernigan and Bucknor having one on one match up.That's equals mismatch all day. As much as i am beginning to like Bosa, I know there's no way we can him and Bucknor. A guy i really, really, really love is Kevin Dodd. IT would be an absolutely dream come trough scenario if some way we could move back into the first round (including trading next year 1st round, hopefully 32nd pick
,) to get this guy. I am telling you guys KEVIN DODD will become a star in the NFL. He can rush, he can set the edge, he can drop back and cover, he can sniffs out screens. With the cap we now have i would definitely sign Mike Wallace if possible, and draft a guy like Kolby Listenbee in the later rounds, hence taking care of the wrs group. I would keep Munroe and try to get Jason Spriggs in the second round if possible. hence taking care of our O-line. (BTW, getting Dodd i would be willing to give up next years 1st, this year 3rd round and a 4th round or two to get him.). we could then use our two other 4th round picks (compensatory) to at least get a MLB and add dept with the rest of our picks. We still have more than enough cap to extend Brandon and sign Weddle if we want. Keep in mind we gonna cut Pitta and Lewis. i think our secondary , with the addition of Frazier and the resigning of Arrington will be good to go. This is my take. What do you guys think?
giving up next years first to move 8 to 10 spots up in the draft is a terrible idea.
Explain to me why this would be a terrible idea? I can't see why! If we acquire the players i think we should target (especially Dodd) our need for next year (2017) would be virtually ZERO. we would be set in all areas, O-Line, D-LIne, WRs, Pass rushers, Rb,Qb,. Remember this will be pick number 32 in next years draft. I respect your opinion , but i still think Dodd is an exceptional Player worthy of such transaction.
First you can't just assume that we will be picking at 32 next year. You also can't assume that Spriggs or Dodd are going to magically fix our defensive and offensive troubles. And on top of all of that you assume that certain players are going to be there in certain rounds. The Draft just isn't that predictable. Mortgaging the teams future by giving away the first round pick and expecting all of these drafted players to fix all of our problems is just not feasible. We are going to have just as may holes next year and being with out the first rounder we would have less ways to fill them.

Will next years comp pick for osemele be negated?? Because we signed Watson whom is UFA?
If upshaws signs somewhere, it would negate the Watson signing
Thanks!
Doesn't look like the ravens want to sign upshaw. And to be honest cant blame them. Love the guy, but meritocracy has become a theme lately.
In fact tell me one play maker on the ravens that isn't coming off a severe injury. Can't name one. And the coaches that have left haha. Of course Pagano, Rex Ryan , and Mrvin Lewis. But its not them. When you have Reed, Ray Lewis, Nagta, and Suggs it will make any coach look good. Havent seen too many coaches signed since than. And Bernard Pallard, what a play maker, unlike Hill, but of course Harbough did away with that, he wanted a coach able team. Well now u have it, and without your iconic payers, see how you do now. The Ravens are soft. Hope it changes.
Bernard Pollard was a huge liability in coverage.
All of the sudden KO is such a terrible person, he's not a team player, he's greedy, and he doesn't care about the Ravens. All this because he did what was best for himself. There are no facts to support what you say. You and everyone else just have sour grapes.
Nope - few would begrudge him for doing what was best for himself. People just don't like when former players disrespect their prior team, for doing nothing more than determining that the price another team is will to pay is more than they can afford.
If there are any sour grapes here, they seem to be coming from KO.
maybe you aren't but there are plenty of people on this site that are wallowing in the sour grapes.
Now that its..official 1,2,3,(4)-4ths,(2)-6ths...

Round 4 pk 3, Scooby Wright Lbr
Round 4 pk 4, Cyrus Jones CB
I could be wrong but I think D king decided to stay in Iowa for another year
@rmcjacket23 True, most of the players won't see the full amount but just me its a waste of time just to travel to another team and it they won't get the full amount anyway. They should just stay with the current team then do all of that plus it's a better chance he could finish the contract here but it is what is jacket. I'm mostly talking about players that sign big contracts for 5 years or more. This is just my opinion statement. :-)
hen my friend where are you from
Sounds like sour grapes to me. I think he felt offended that we didint offer him what he wanted. After we signed Yanda last year he should have seen the writing on the wall. Most players are only in it to make as much money as they can while they can. A few select players around the league find a home and love their teams. We broke NGata's heart by trading him away while people like Kruger or KO could really care less where they play. Good luck to KO while he kills time in OAK before moving on to the next place in a few years. Money is great but time and memories are more valuable.
broke Ngatas heart? Where did you read that. If it broke his heart so much, he would have restructured his contract to stay with the team. The reason we traded him was because he was not willing to negotiate.
http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl-news/4634976-report-haloti-ngata-could-be-cut-if-he-doesnt-restructure-his-contract-ravens-oregonTake a breath. It was just a comment. I have always thought Ngata loved being in Baltimore selling chicken, hanging with Suggs, being comfortable at castle and M&T like owning the school your senior year. He was a big part of our team and community and even though he was being stubborn with his contracts I dont think he saw the trade coming. I guess I should have said that I dont think he or his teammates thought he would be sent packing because I thought he felt like this was home. I DO think we made the right move by trading him. I just think some players care and some dont. So my looong winded point is that I dont think KO cared about the Ravens so we should just let it go.

There is a reason why they let him walkaway... If you don't have the ''Team'' at heart, than you don't deserve to be on our roster! Maybe K.O. feels like the ravens don't appreciate Offensive Lineman... I think it's more they don't appreciate players that are only in this league for cash!
All players are in the league for cash. It would be naive to think other wise. They didn't let him walk away because he wasn't a team player. They let him walk because they couldn't pay him what Oakland did. The guys on his first contract he needs to get as much as he can out of it while he is still healthy.

And we also have Reuland and Spears.
creating a competitive atmosphere for a few roster spots at tight end is the smart thing to do. look forward to watching it play out. would not surprise me if they came up with a season ending injury for waller in training camp to allow him an off season to bulk up, improve blocking techniques and the mental part of it
he doesn't need to bulk up, I am not sure why people are saying that. He is 6'6 245-50 which is the perfect size for a Joker TE. He isn't going to be asked to block a whole bunch.
This is weird. Why he want to be a TE? His body and shape doesn't feel or look like a TE. He would have to gain at least 20 to 25 lbs to be in a shape of a TE. Probably would have to bulk up. But l think he should stay at Wr his body doesn't look like it to me.
he is already 250lbs, he really doesn't need to bulk up at all. His body and shape are perfect for a joker TE
I'm interested to see him block. If he can play the position with some physicality I think he might turn some heads.
he can't but neither can Jimmy Graham and he's a pro bowler. We already have enough blocking tight ends. Now we have a joker TE who really shouldn't be asked to block all that often
14 minutes ago, ALPHA said:I really think he would make a bigger impact for us at WR
He's going to line up in the slot and on the outside just as a receiver would. Calling him a TE is all semantics. The guy isn't going to be lined up inline very often. He is more of a move tight end like Jimmy Graham. Whether he is called a move TE or WR doesn't really make a difference because they do the same things.
we should sign Jamarcus Russell
Werner is much like Jarrett Johnson. As a matter of fact, he reminds me a lot of Jarrett Johnson. If we lose Upshaw to Indy then this would be a good pick up. Also, since we got rid of Daryl Smith, Alabama's Ragland is someone to watch. He is a strong ILB and mock drafts have just a couple people even having him in the first round and most have him going to Green Bay at 27. If he slips that low, he would be a good one to move up and grab to fill that spot. More than likely we will grab a Left Tackle in round one and players like Jack and Bosa will be long gone. If we could get a left tackle and move back up and get Ragland then the first two rounds will be more than successful.
The only problem with Ragland is that he can't cover. With they way the league is today even the sam backers have to have some sort of ability to cover. I wouldn't take him in the first.
3 hours ago, Maryland said:I would love for them to pick up Werner. Literally no risk in picking up his contract, since it's a rookie deal with no guaranteed money and little base salary. He should be a 4-3 DE, but I'm sure we can find a spot for him (just not at OLB, since that is where he struggled). I liked his power coming out of FSU.
If he doesn't play OLB in our D than he doesn't play at all. Im not sure what position you think he would be able to play. He isn't big enough to play DE in the 3-4 and would be a down grade from Upshaw as an edge setter. The guy can never get to the QB. He is slow and not very explosive. I would pass
treadwell we can get a passrusher and lineman later in the draft
treadwell is not worthy of the 6th pick. the guy is slow and his routes leave a lot to be desired.
Nick Perry shows flashes and being that he would be behind Suggs and Dumervil to learn... he may be a good fit if the price was right! I also thing the B.Warner has not yet reached his full potential and again learning behind Suggs and Doom he could be a great addition. Sam Acho out of Chicago is also available and would probably make a bigger impact right now!
Bjorns problem is that he is slow. If we picked him up he would be used like Upshaw was. The guy rarely gets to the QB and would be a down grade from Upshaw.
I really hope that someone gives us a 2nd rounder for Kamar!
that would be nice but I can't see any team doing that
2 hours ago, Grapple Raven said:2 hours ago, allblackraven said:Uh, Flacco recently got Gillmore (3rd round) and Williams (2nd) - two really good TEs to be here for a long time. Beside Watson we also tendered Chase Ford (ERFA). Boyle may not be on the out yet. That's a lot of investment in TE position.
We have a gaggle still on the roster and all make not make the 53 roster, lol, some with injury prone concerns and some that haven't really seen a whole lot of field time. But I say a new baby rookie TE added to the Raven nest might not be a bad insurance. Look at how quickly our TE's dropped last season, and pretty early in the season to boot. Bryce Williams is healthy and a good player and could be converted to a WR too. Give him a shot and see what he can do...could surprise ya~
Bryce is as slow as molasses. There is no way that they convert a guy that ran a 4.94 forty to receiver. If anything that time relegates you to being a blocking tight end. Really we have enough tight ends on the roster and shouldn't waste a pick on another. We have drafted three tight ends in the last two years which is more than enough. Especially with Watson coming aboard.
i wonder what the Ravens plans are? K.O might have agreed but he didn't sign yet which could cause him to return. Or they're making room for more pieces than usual.
I think KO is gone... We have Urschel who can be a starter and be a good one. I am thinking we are drafting Tunsil or Stanley (both of who we see as an immediate starter, in round one. Maybe not as sexy of a pick as Ramsey or Bosa but to land a starting LT for the next four years who will play under a rookie contract -really helps out the future cap situation plus we have identified at least 2 other CBs who we like - that should be available with the # 34 pick. (and cleared enough money to possibly bring in help in the pass rushing dept.)
jensen outplayed Urschel last year by a lot.
