  1. Bjorn would play the same role as upshaw. The guy is slow and rarely gets pressure on the QB. Even as an edge setter he is a step down from Courtney.
  2. there is no way that any team is going to give up a second rounder for aiken. I would gladly take a second round pick in exchange for the guy.
  3. i actually don't think Urschel graded out too well by PFF. I don't have it in front of me but I remember him getting a lot of negative scores. Jensen on the other hand steadily improved over the last few games and I think in one of them he actually had the highest grade on offense.
  4. Oakland had a much better record than we did last year. With Derek Carr slinging the rock to the likes of Amari Cooper and with a defense led my K. Mack. They have a lot of pieces. You do remember that we lost to them laster year. Withough Al at the helm the Raiders are turning into a legitimate contender.
  5. Who were those 13 LT starters? Were they the actual starters or were they backups who played because the incumbent starter was injured? Not saying you are wrong, but when I looked at like the top 20-25 highest paid LTs, I think like 80-90% of them were first round picks. NO Terron Armstead OAK Donald Penn GB David Bakhtari CIN Andrew Whitworth BUF Cordy Glenn PIT Kelvin Beechum PHI Jason Peters CHI Jermon Bushrod ARZ Jared Veldeer TB Donovan Smith SD King Dunlap I did accidentally count two LTs that were really only playing LT because of injuries to first rounders. BAL KO replacement for Monroe DEN Ryan Harris replacement for Ryan Clady
  6. Maybe. To be honest, I hear this every year from fans, yet the number of starting LTs in this league who aren't first round picks is really, really small. Last year there were 13 LT starters who were not taken in the first. So around 40 percent which is not too shabby. But you're right most of the guys that play LT were taken in the first. Unfortunately there are also many tackles in the league that where taken high (Fishcer, Joekel, Kalil) that didn't really pan out. Its a tough transition from the NCAA to the NFL, especially at that position. If we do draft Stanley I just hope that Monroe can stay healthy so Ron can get acclimated to the speed of the game.
  7. if any of those players that you mentioned are still on the board when it is our turn to pick, I think we would pick one of them instead of stanley. There are promising OL that can be had on the second day of the draft.
  8. We have no idea what type of contract he was offered by the ravens. Of course they say it was an "aggressive offer" but really we have no idea what the numbers were. KO needs to do what is best for him. This is his first contract and there is no guarantee that he will get another one. He needs to take the money while it is there.
  9. looks like someone has a case of the Mondays
  10. Probably the Browns or Bengals. They have more money then brains I think. I was hoping KO would not be greedy. Guess I was wrong lol. It is not about being greedy. You can only play football for a limited amount of time. It is his first contract and he needs to get as much as he can, because no one knows if he will ever get another one. The game is a physical one and players get career ending injuries all of the time. He can not predict the future. All he has is now. It is selfish for fans to think that he should take less money just so he can stay with the team. He does't owe you anything.
  11. Quoting a single sentence without any context or factual proof of anything other than an opinion makes for a weak argument. Also made me laugh. IF the Ravens did not offer Osemele an aggressive LT offer, then maybe you could say there is some truth to this bogus statement. This just is not the case. Also I don't take anyone working for a company called "Yahoo!" seriously. it does not look good. There are teams that are going to be willing to overpay KO and we aren't going to be able to match their offers. Of course the team is going to say they gave him an aggressive offer but in reality that is a subjective term. I have seen it in multiple places. Its a bitter pill to swallow but the writing is on the wall. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/07/ravens-except-osemele-to-leave/
  12. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/07/ravens-except-osemele-to-leave/ this could just be speculation but it doesn't look good
  13. How do you know that? He is shopping his deal and we cleared cap space to potentially bump our offer to keep him in Baltimore. Team's will not pay him as a top Tackle only playing 4 games at the position. Nobody should give him top tackle money, including us.
  14. His major flaw is that he is so slooow. you know I thought this being his contract year and all, that maybe he would drop ten pounds and pick up some speed. He always comes in heavy though. Its a shame because he had 9.5 sacks in his senior year at bama.
  15. Thinking his best chance for a payday is the colts unfortunately for the colts their 2013 first round pick was Bjoern Werner. He was supposed to be a phenomenal pass rusher but he fills the same role as Upshaw does for the Ravens. I don't think he does it as well as Shaw does though.
  16. The guy is athletic enough to play almost any where on the field, and I have read some scouting reports that think he should play DE/OLB. The only knock on him is that he doesn't have the length that most OLBs do which is important to create separation from the long armed LTs. Dumervillhe is undersized though, and he does well but he also has unusually long arms for a guy who is 5'11".
  17. we've got the Roddy White fan club up in here...
  18. This is what I am talking about.... Scouting reports for L Treadwell. I didn't cherry pick these they were the first that came up when i google "Laquan Treadwell scouting report" Cbssports.com - "Route-running still a work-in-progress and wasn't asked to run a full tree in the Ole Miss offense. Needs to rely more on his footwork at the top of routes to create separation. Speed is average for the position, lacking a second gear vertically to easily gain a step." musiccitymiracles.com - "Doesn't appear to have that high, breakaway gear. Route running could use a lot more polish. Lots of rounded off breaks. Separation is a bit of a concern." walterfootball.com - "Will struggle to separate from NFL cornerbacks. Not fast in and out of breaks." profootballfocus.com - "Separation in general is really poor, will have to win in the catch point in the NFL" todayspigskin - "Needs to do a better job of selling his routes in order to get the cornerback to commit; which goes hand in hand with running sharper route. Does not create much separation from the defensive back, lacks deep speed." breakingfootball.com -"Weaknesses -Not a deep thread/gaining separation - route running. nflmocks.com - "The main weakness for Laquon Treadwell is his route running."
  19. one of the big reasons Buffalo got rid of him is because he complained so much about playing in Rex's 3-4 Defense . Im not sure if it makes sense to force him into another similar defense.
  20. I seriously don't see Bosa going 1st. If the Titans don't take Tunsil, they would be foolish to take any defender other than Ramsey. Ramsey is that good. That being said, I see the Titans protecting their QB and drafting Tunsil. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if Cleveland takes Ramsey. I can see the Browns throwing a wrench in everyone's system in the top 10. i can see the browns trading for kaepernick, garappolo, foles or giving rg3 a shot which would allow them to go defense with the #2 pick Is NE trying to unload grappolo? I don't think that would make much sense.
  21. who were the pass rushers that Oz missed on. treadmill isn't worthy of being drafted six overall. Sergio kendell, Courtny upshaw, john simon, Kapron Lewis-Moore the list goes on. Treadwell could be the next dez bryant if we have a chance to give flacco a guy like that we have to. I would take Treadwell if we traded back . You don't draft a receiver who is slow, a bad route runner, and not good at getting separation, with in the first 10 picks ofthe draft. Kapron Lewis Moore is a 3-4 DE not a pass rusher. Sergio, John, and Upshaw surely didn't live up to expectations, but you would have a hard time listing others. In other words I don't think the list goes on and on. The only other guy which didn't perform as expected is Antwan Barnes, but he was a good contributor. Ozzy drafted Pete Boulware, Terrell Suggs, Adalius Thomas, Paul Kruger and even converted a 3-4 DE into an OLB (Mcphee). We also picked up Zadarius Smith last year and he had a promising rookie season. They said the same thing about alson jeffery and kelvin benjamin when they came out. Slow, cant run routes, cant get seperation and look at them now. Dont pay so much attention to 40 times. a fast 40 doesnt mean someone will be great. Ask the raiders when they picked hey ward bey over crabtree and the rams when they picked tavon austin. Over rated all because they ran fast 40 times. its not his forty time that worries me, its the fact that he is a sloppy route runner. And you need to either be fast or a good route runner to compete at the nfl level. He could certainly learn how to become a better route runner though, I just wouldn't take him at number 6. The most appealing thing about him, to me at least, is that he goes after the ball and doesn't wait for it to come to him which is key if you can't get much separation.
  22. who were the pass rushers that Oz missed on. treadmill isn't worthy of being drafted six overall. Since 2000 DL/LB failures: S Kindle,T Cody, Dan Cody, A Brown, J Phillips, John Simon, Kapron Lewis-Moore, Tyson, Kruger, Ryan LaCasse, Mike Smith, A Barnes, T Gooden, P Burgess, Anthony Weaver, Mike Smith, Dwayne Missouri. Jury is still out on: Z Smith, Jernigan, Upshaw, Urban Successes: Mosley, B Williams, McPhee, A Jones, H Ngata. I agree with the first comment. Too many failed choices not only in Baltimore, but league wide finding a good pass rusher is hard. J Clowney was a sure lock to knock the league over and he can't stay healthy enough to stay on the field. I have to agree that moving up and getting Ramsey is far preferable to someone like Bosa who lacks explosiveness and speed. Besides, this draft is far deeper in pass rushers than at any other position and a good pass rusher will drop enough we can get a good one in the second round. We are talking about pass rushers though. That doesn't include DTs and ILB. Cody, KLM, Tyson, A Weaver, are all DTs or DEs (interior lineman). A Brown, Jphillips, T Gooden, P Burgess, Dan Cody were are all ILB, not edge rushers. Missouri, Smith ,and Lacasse were all drafted in the 7th round and drafting someone that late is a crap shoot. But you are right they didn't cut the mustard.

  25. At last someone with an understanding of the trade value chart :D I don't think Ozzie would give up his third round pick for Ramsey in such a situation - but at least it would be a fair trade offer - we should even get DAL's one current low-round pick (6th round) and we would still be generous :) I admittedly have know idea how to use the draft chart, but I was wondering hypothetically, what it would cost us to move from our spot in the second to lets say 25. I don't think this is a good or even a feasible move , but I just want to know how much we would have to give up.
