  1. you are being overly optimistic. he will play but he will struggle. Why do you say that? Athletically he and Tunsil are the same, he has great feet and Stanley's a better run blocker name a left tackle in the past five years that has excelled in his rookie season. since 2010 the only one that really played well was Matt Kahlil. Interestingly enough he has gone down hill since then. its a huge transition. i am not saying he won't eventually play at a high level but he will definitely have some growing pains his rookie season.

  3. How about PRAYER! Cause line up the rosters and see how we compare to other teams. Cap issues every season, dumping players that helped you win those two rings (Boldin, Dilfer, Pollard) and suffering for years to get back, handing big contracts to often injured and severely injured players (Webb, Pitta), I could write a list of bust and under achieving players since 2008, unable to extend contracts of top round draft picks , never drafted a true number one receiver in twenty years. But, OZ the man? You living on yesterday boldin dilfer and pollard... bye felicia
  4. i wouldn't take jones till the third and Ragland is a huge liability in pass coverage.
  5. I think that Monroe is gone.... we can use that 5 million to bring in help at CB and we addressed two positions in one swift move! Love it! I am not sure why everybody is putting so much faith in Stanley. LT struggle in there first year in the NFL. He is going to go through growing pains. Its not realistic to think this guy is going to get in there right away and play at a high level. FA is over there are no cornerbacks worth picking up. FA is over???... did u see what happened to Josh Norman?...we might get lucky with some cap casualties umm im not sure if you are new to the NFL but that was an extremely rare occurrence. There are not going to be any players of Josh Normans caliber being released.

  7. Ronnie Stanley is going to have a rough season. Assuming that the guy is going to come in and play at a high level right away is crazy. LT struggle in their first year no matter where they are drafted.
  8. Buckner is overrated. He had 10.5 sacks against marginal college teams. Jernigan is a much better pass rusher. And last I checked, the draft is not over - Myles Jack, Noah Spence, Ogbah, Dodd all still on the board - all as good as or better PR than Buckner. Yeah, I don't get it. Buckner is a 5-tech DE, which in the Ravens scheme is a run-stopping position. The rush is designed to come from the Leo (Suggs), 3-tech (Jernigan), and Sam (Doom) positions. In fact, for those clamoring that the Ravens needed an "impact play maker" at 6, I'd argue that Buckner's position is the least impactful one in the front 7. Drafting him that high would be like taking an OG with the 6th pick. Considering how some feel about taking an LT with the pick I find this "we should've taken Buckner" talk quite silly. The vast majority of scouting reports had Buckner as a top 5 pick. One can rationalize all they want but they let the best legit DL pass through their fingers. The 49er's are already saying they couldn't believe their luck. Time will tell but don't bet more than a cup of coffee that we won't come to regret not picking him. Buckner is overrated. He plays high and gets blown off the ball. The last two DE to come out of Oregon haven't done anything. He will be a bust.
  9. im not sure why you think that Steve makes the decisions as the owner. He trusts oz to make the right decisions. When owner pick players things don't go over to well.
  10. what is mind boggling is that you think Buckner is a pass rusher
  11. We are fortunate that our owner doesn't get involved with picking players. That never works out very well.
  12. putting all of your faith a rookie LT is extremely risky. he will surely go through some growing pains.
  13. nobody has commented on it because its a ridiculous statement. It doesn't matter which LTs go to the superbowl. The best LT in the game is Joe Thomas and he has never been close to a Super Bowl. That doesn't make him any less of a player. It just means his team hasn't had a qb to take him into the playoffs.
  14. where do you come up with this stuff. just because you say something over an over again doesn't make it any more true. Monroe was not even close to being the worst graded lineman for the Ravens.
  15. Ummm get the facts.... he got in a domestic dispute with his step father because he pushed his mom. It has never been reported that he had beat a woman. He didn't jump out a window his teammate Nkimdiche did.
  16. i saw your post yesterday. I am not sure what you mean by "using colors not normally resent in nature". Can you clarify this.
  17. i believe the word you are looking for there is glutes
  18. none of those stats have anything to do with Henry. Yea Henry put up some stats at Alabama but every back from Alabama puts up stats especially behind that offensive line they have. Henrys stats in particular are inflated because the guy got handed the ball a whopping 400 times. There is just no way that there is any way to justify calling Henry the best player in the draft. Yea stats tell stories but if stats told the whole story there would be no reason for a scout to ever look at tape. The tape tells the complete story and if you watched tape on Henry you would see he only gets what is given to him by his blockers. He is not going to extend runs into the secondary, his pass blocking is suspect, and he doesn't have great hands.
  19. Derrick Henry is not even close to being the best player in the draft. he isn't even the best running back in the draft. The guys is a thumper and just gets what is blocked for him. He isn't making anyone miss. I suggest that instead of looking at the highlights (highlights make everyone look like an HOFer) try watching an entire game. Some people don't even think he is the second best RB.
  20. Trent Richardson is 25. He was star at Alabama and 3rd overall pick. LT is more injured than not and played at East Coast Carolina. Please there is no comparison. If he plays like his rookie year or like he did at Alabama it is a win win for the Ravens. It isn't a lot of money we are paying him and there are no guarantees he makes the team. What if Derrick Henry is there in the 2nd? Richardson did nothing in Cleveland or Indy. He is available for a reason. Pour money down the drain. And if you are talking about often injured players include Campanero, Webb, Monroe at better position to upgrade than RB which you are already 4 deep. he picked up 950 yards and 1317 yards from scrimmage in his rookie year.
  21. his knee disorder had absolutely nothing to do with the injury he suffered in training camp last year
  22. fastynart you seem to trash Monroe on a pretty regular basis. I mean i get it, the guy is hurt a lot. But if you knew what you were looking at and knew anything about playing left tackles you would realize that Monroe is a top 10-15 tackle in this league when he is playing. So go for it question his dedication to the game or his toughness but realize that he is a decent left tackle when he is playing. If you can't see that I would be happy to teach you about the position.
  23. if anyone is taking a second quarterback its going to the the Browns not the Cowboys I completely agree about the Browns. But, if they decide other, the Eagles (through trade) or Dallas will jump on Goff. well heres to hoping they all take QBs
