  1. There is absolutely no scenario where putting Webby or SSS in there to return punts is a good idea. I am not sure what the heck Harbaugh was thinking last year. It is absolutely ridiculous. Another head scratching move.... drafting Keenan Reynolds. It really seems more like a PR stunt than anything else. He isn't going to make the final roster.
  2. Another head scratching statement RFS03. How does hurdling a defender protect your body. That one of the most dangerous moves in the game. I know its an instinctive type of thing but there is no reason to do that. Especially in a pre season game.
  3. i am with you here boss. If a player doesn't have great production in his first preseason game, you can pretty much count on the fact that he's going to have a terrible season.
  4. i think we may have had this discussion before. Your ability to analyze NFL football players is suspect at best.
  5. easy there cowboy, it was just a preseason game
  6. LOL he slowed down in year two and three? Of course he did. Very rarely is an NFL player asked to switch positions in the middle of his career and switching from a 3-4 DE to a 3-4 OLB is unheard of (4-3DE to 3-4OLB is pretty common because there are a lot of similarities). You really have to give Mcphee a lot of credit for that. Not only did he have to change his body but his mindset had to change as well. Very very impressive. And its not like he's just an average OLB, the man has excelled at the position.
  7. Sounds like he will be an edge setter. I hope not. He's an edge setter than can also rush the passer...kinda what we were hoping for from Upshaw. Not positive but doesn't Z already have more sacks then Upshaw did over his whole tenure with us?? there is this thing called google where you can find these answers. I wouldn't put to much stock in Zs sack numbers. I know that at least two of them he got on a stunt up the middle that confused the O Line. And when no one is blocking you, you better be able to pick up a sack or two.
  8. you're confidence in our two over the hill pass rushers may be a bit optimistic.
  9. I think Z would be best utilized in a JJ-Upshaw/Mcphee role for the future to come. That would allow us to utilize all of his strengths, while keeping him fresh and not playing him every single down. Especially relying on that from a late round pick-though I don't doubt his ability. I'd be a little surprised if both Suggs AND Doom retire after this year. If they do, we should be unloading some big time contracts/pay offs soon anyways which would only add to our cap ava. But we have Z for years, Doom or Sizzle for one more I think, and KC playing the middle and going crazy on the edges for years to come. With all this said, I see us drafting a pass rusher in the next 3 rounds next year, or signing a very nice free agent. Quickly I'll address your front 3 statement before I make my main opinion. I agree with you to a degree on that. Timmy has been less than anticipated so far. Especially with his personal fouls. And we just spent a high 3rd rounder on Kufasi only to see him go down which is unfair to not include. We drafted him for pass rush and more. Also, BWILL gets good pressure, esp considering he's a 340 lb. NT. There also aren't many front 3' that get great pressure. (Watt is absurd). Call me CRAZY but I could see Mr Judon taking over Suggs role in the future. I know know, but I like this kid. Let's just wait and see you do realize that JJ and Upshaw had a totally different role than Mcphee, Right?
  10. in pass coverage it doesn't matter if your hand his clubbed up or not (except maybe to catch interceptions). Pass coverage is all about footwork.
  11. you're so insightful. You seem to know a great deal about coverage schemes in the NFL. You must have played high school football. flag? two hand touch perhaps?
  12. Ray Rice did Ray Rice dirty. Ray Rice is to blame for why Ray Rice isn't playing for a team right now. Ray Rice spit on his wife, hit her once, and then slugged her and knocked her right out. Ray Rice then decided to lie about it to Roger Goodell and the Ravens. Ray Rice decided to sit there and act like it was his wife's fault that he slugged her like that in the press conference he held with Janay after the fact. Ray Rice is lucky he's not in prison. Ray Rice poisoned his name and Ray Rice doesn't deserve the privilege of playing in the NFL and making millions of dollars playing a game. Ray Rice is free to seek employment in any other venue he chooses. Ray Rice should be used as an example to NFL players that if you do something completely horrible you might very well be forfeiting the privilege to play in the NFL. You can't just get away with everything because you are a special athlete. Stop doing drugs, stop beating up women, and stop hanging out after midnight with guns in nightclubs. Ray didn't slug her he slapped her when he backed away and she came after him but since she was drunk the slap knocked her down, she hit her head on the rail and THAT knocked her out. Yeah he shouldn't have done it but take those 5 seconds out of his life and hes a model citizen. "because she was drunk the slap knocked her down" This couldn't be further from the truth and even if it was the truth there is still no excuse. You are looking at this through purple colored glasses.
  13. i totally get what your saying but in reality Justin has been in the league for 7 years and had only had one season to write home about.
  14. lol dan brown is a scrub man. face the music already. its clear that your assessment of nfl talent is not as good as you think it is. don't quit your day job
  15. Has anyone looked at that final drive video? From around 35sec to 40sec it zooms in on Kamalei Correa and quite frankly he looks fat. It could be padding though, but if not his belly is bigger than Courtney Upshaws. He could stand to loose a few pounds to gain some speed. He just looks extremely top heavy to me.
  16. whats with his belly. Is that padding or is he fat?
  17. of course you aren't seeing anything from these backs, practice is closed to the public
  18. who the heck is liz and why is she always hanging with frank
  19. Coaches see everything you see AND everything you don't. That's why he's not on the field. Because they see things you don't see. I have zero interest in seeing more of him. I have interest in seeing the best players play. And if he's not outplaying others to EARN playing time, then he's not one of the best players. Just remember you said this when Daniel Brown starts making plays on live tv, whether with us or another team. you are a terrible judge of talent
  20. He probably meant guard but I wouldnt be shocked. Dude can play pretty much anywhere on the line. The article is obviously the question on everybody's mind- can we make it to September healthy? Injuries are going to happen during the year but its really demoralizing to lose key players before the season even starts. They need to get in shape and practice at full speed and what not but we also need to give our starters plenty of rest and off days. Sometimes its hard to find that balance. you are over estimating urschels abilities
  21. It really depends on what the exact injury is, unfortunately "wrenched" is a bit vague and a word I haven't heard since 1988.
  22. Doesn't matter to me if he sees it or not, doesn't prevent me from expressing my congrats on his life changing event. That wasn't sarcasm. I was being serious
  23. If you have ever played the game at the collegiate or even high school level, you would know that you are gonna be in the dog house if you hit the starting QB. There is no way anyone is going to touch him. It is possible, however, that if he is under center and the nose gets a good push the center could step on his foot. But again everyone knows where Joe is and if he is under center the nose isn't going to go 100. Now, all bets are off when the backups are in, but even then you are going to get chewed out if you hurt one of them. Its an easy way for a UDFA to get cut.
  24. i have no doubt that kamar and his family will certainly get this message
  25. i am sure he will get this message. he spends all of his free time looking at the comment sections on the ravens website
