  1. Sam is a Baltimore sport reporter and wasn't quoting anyone. " Gotta believe Laremy Tunsil will do his best to play against the team that passed him in the draft earlier this year" I am not sure how this sentence could be misconstrued as a statement made by Laremy that voices his hatred for the Ravens.
  2. Where in the article does it say that he is upset. It is certainty possible that I overlooked it.
  3. Am i missing something? Is there somewhere in this article that implies that Tunsil hasn't been giving his all? Or a place that quotes Tunsil as saying that he will put forth more effort against the Ravens because they passed on him in the draft? The only place that I see any reference to Tunsil "getting up" for the Ravens is in a tweet by Sam Njoku, who happens to be a Baltimore Sports reporter. He doesn't know Tunsil, has never talked to Tunsil, and may never talk to Tunsil. Writing a diatribe about how Tunsil isn't fully committed based solely on that tweet is ridiculous. But at least you are keeping the streak alive.
  4. "he is like Ngata in his prime, or better, we need him bad" I am not trying to take anything away from Brandon. He is a good player but not as good as Ngata. Ngata was a force to be reckoned with in both the run and the pass game. He was much more agile/athletic than BW in his prime. BW is going to get paid well, and most likely too well, which will take us out of the bidding for his services. He is going to be this years KO (I think we have a better chance of signing him than we did with KO). I am sure there are many people like you who have already checked the "indispensable" box, and i am sure there are some people who think resigning him is a given, but I don't think thats true. One of the biggest reasons why we will let him go (besides the price tag) is Michael Pierce. Pierce is playing at a remarkably high level considering he came from a lower level of competition (BW was only activated for 6 games in his rookie season). His potential is much greater than BWs because he is such a freak of an athlete. He matches or beats every one of Ngatas combine scores. Now, there are guys that tear up the combine and put up ridiculous numbers that turn out to be busts, but MPs rookie year has shown that he is the real deal. He is only going to get better from here. And when BW takes the money I am sure you will chastise him for being selfish and you will criticize the team that he goes to, just as you did with KO (K.O. is selfish, KO is going to a terrible team a "black hole") but hopeful Michael Pierce will be able to make that bitter pill a bit sweeter.
  5. How is making you aware of your typo a comeback. And if it is what is it a come back from.
  6. "Theres no way Yanda can get around Zuta to block a guy" what in the world does that mean. Are you talking about pulling? If so Yanda has been pulling for most of his life, whether its a trap, screen, sweep or anything else Yanda has absolutely no problem with that. Once again I would implore you to learn a bit more about the game of football before you start criticizing things you know nothing about. You can't criticize a plays blocking scheme when you dont know what pulling is.
  7. The phrase is actually "You can't see the forest FOR the trees" . I am sure it was just a typo.
  8. Yea you just got to love people that find created ways in demean and insult others. Ravens organization bring a lot of this on themselves. Since Brian left there has been this wall slowly built between fans and the team. Yea I felt really separated from the team when we won that Superbowl in 2012. I heard that fans felt so separated from the team then that they were actually upset that we won the game.
  9. fusuymada do you really expect us to believe that you know what good QB mechanics, footwork, and release are? In most of your posts you have shown that you have very little understanding of the game. Do you remember when you tried to convince me that Urschel was an all star and that his PFF grades were outstanding? Only to find out that his PFF grades were atrocious. Joe completed 70% of his throws Sunday. Only one QB did better than him. When you give accolades to players who are terrible and then trash a player for his performance in a game only to find out he did pretty well, your credibility takes a hit. And these are only two examples I could go on but it would take me a while. The other interesting is that I have seen you on multiple occasions telling people that they aren't real fans and that maybe they should start to root for the steelers. As was the case a few weeks ago when I criticized your boy JU. Every thing is hunky dory when someone criticizes something that you are critical of but when someone is critical about something that you don't agree with, than those people are not "real" ravens fans.
  10. What would be the point of that? Jimmy is our best CB and we only have one rookie that plays CB. What youre saying is that you wouldn't mind if Sharece Wright started the rest of the season.
  11. Joe completed 70 percent of his passes in this game. Only one quarterback had a better completion percentage during week 12. He also had the second highest grade on our offense. But as I have said before you repeat the same thing over and over and over again (even when someone clearly proves you wrong) because you don't know enough about football to give any type of meaningful analysis of the game.
  12. It is a bit bizarre. I am not sure what they are trying to prove. I think it is an attempt to discount a win because winning doesn't fit their narrative. What is clear is that these curmudgeons have a very limited understanding of the game. Either that or they just don't watch the games. A lot of the things that they say just don't match up with the game stats.
  13. Corey Graham was a solid player. He was a reliable corner for the Bills for several years after Baltimore. We definitely miss KO, but you can only pay so many people. We need to follow Dallas and stack our O-Line. Life looks easy for Dak. They don't even need a good defense because their Offense is always on the field. Our line looked good last week with most of the starters in. They looked dominate. Four of our top five graded offensive players were O lineman last Sunday., Which is pretty darn frustrating considering the fact that our offence still struggled.
  14. Why would you want to have 3 SS (4 if you count Sua) and only 1 FS. That doesn't make sense. Perrimans isn't there in the second round. Conklin??? So you would take Conklin at 6 ?? Thats a reach. I would much rather have Stanley whos true position is left tackle. Converting KO (who is a gaurd) to a LT and drafting Conklin at 6 are both pretty bad ideas. The price is wrong Bob
  15. KO is not as good at left tackle as people think he is. He played like what? 4 games there in his entire career, and you're trying to pay him elite LT money (which is what we would have had to pay him to out bid Oakland). His natural position is guard which is why he is playing there in Oakland even though they gave him LT money. The Ravens made the right decision.
  16. The deep pass is just such a low percentage play. You can't do it a lot. Between 2010 and 2015 Flacco led the league with an average of 3 passes that were 25' feet or over. MW was thrown to on a go route twice. Once he slowed up as it sailed over his head and the other was near the endzone where he only go one foot in. There were also more than a few crossing routes thrown beyond 25'. One of which was caught by Aiken. It would be hard to create an identity with the deep ball as its centerpiece and be successful. It most definitely should be a complimentary part of our offense but it has to be set up with both the running game and short to intermediate passes. A good running game will make players bite on the play action and a good short passing game will cause DBs to bite on double moves.
  17. As a SS his prime job isn't pass defense, but tackling. And as such, this last game he had the second most tackles, and is usually among our top tacklers - so, I guess he's been doing a good job. Judging an SS by the number of deflected passes is like judging a RB by his deep pass catching ability: not necessarily fair. Web is the FS. Weddle spends a lot more time in the box than Webb does but every so often they bring Webb up to blitz. Webb plays bigger than he is and is not afraid to step up in the run game if need be.
  18. i truly hope this is satire. Refs making calls for the Cowboys so there is not a qb controversy?? Not to mention that even if the Cowboys did lose there would be no controversy. If they lost, Dak would have a record of 8 and 2 which is pretty darn good.
  19. yea that one in the end zone seemed like it would be really hard to miss. There were also two calls on Zuttah that were bogus.
  20. Zuttah is going to get a lot of stuff on this board as he does even when he has graded out as one of our top 5 players on offense, which he has been at least 3 times, but he had three penalties. I can say conclusively that the one called for holding on the screen to Juice, and the call for personal foul (blocking after play was dead) were both ridiculous. I don't remember what the third was for but Zuttah has been playing really well. Zuttah made contact with that safety at the exact same time the running back (forget which one) stepped out. There is no way the whistle was blown before the hit, and I love nothing more than to see an offensive lineman blocking down field until the end of the play. The odd part of the whole Zuttah hate train (im not implying your on it btw) is that many of them scream for Urschel to be put in his place. Its Odd because at the break JU was rated as the 49th best gaurd in the NFL. The only time I saw Correa get in was when he was playing OLB in the last drive of the game. He completely lost contain (ZS was guilty of this toward the beginning of the game)and EE got 12 yards. He seems over matched even when rushing the passer. If its any constellation (and I know its not because it doesn't make me feel any better about it) Judon has just one less sack than Ngakoue and Spence. Cowboys OL tried their best to give him another tonight. Im not sure how you don't account for the DE on that play. There clearly wasn't a TE there and there is no way that they would let the RB handle him by himself.
  21. You clearly have forgotten about the 2014 season when our offensive line was arguably one of the best units that the Ravens have ever fielded in team history.
  22. Did you not read what he wrote. I was simply telling him that we didn't do it first. Try to keep up. " Now, when we start to see other teams in the league doing it...we know that they are "biting" (copying) off of the Ravens who did it best and first! "
  23. I don't think anyone is naive enough to think that all of our offensive troubles are behind us. Really he started to pick it up in the last drive of the second half. Just throwing darts.. He was decisive and it really was something that I haven't seen from him all season. The pick in the end zone in the second half was also disappointing. It wasn't only Joe. The line played well even without Marshal and the running game looked good. Dixon looked like the guy that he was in the preseason. But these are the things that have to happen for Joe to look good. He can't do it behind a porous line and he can't do it without the running game. Thats just not the type of QB that Joe is.
  24. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this move is so November 1st which with the way social media is these days is ages ago. Other teams have done this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mannequin_Challenge
  25. Pierce really is impressive isn't he. He is just as successful against the run as he is against the pass which is unusual for a guy his size. In B Wills first two seasons inthe league he had 1.5 sacks. Pierce already has two. I cant confirm this because I dont pay for PFF but i am pretty sure he has had a good number of qb hurries and hits as well.
