Is it possible that the OT or OG you are talking about is someone other than Banner? I ask that because he weighed in at 360 (you listed him at 335) at the senior bowl and there is absolutely nothing that I have seen from the guy that would support the claim that he is "fluid" for his size. I think if you just watched a few minutes of game tape you opinion of the guy will change (the article Mink wrote about the guy a week or so ago was genreous to say the least). He is so ridiculously unathletic and he gets consistently beat by smaller, faster guys. The guy that hes blocking makes the tackle an inordinate amount of the time. And the reason that happens is because he has terrible body control and can't ever get in position to box guys out. He also has a huge problem with his pad level. The guy looks like he is perpetually standing at attention out there. At first I thought that he was just a low effort guy. However, I have come to the conclusion that he is in fact giving it his all, but he is just so slow and stiff that he looks lackadaisical. Size isnt everything in the NFL and in Banners case his size is more of a problem than an asset. He has gotten up to 400 pounds at some points during is college career. The guy has had this weight problem every year and there are legitimate concerns about his dedication to perfecting his craft in the offseason. And when you weigh as much as this guy does shedding weight shouldn't be too difficult. Nothing would scare me more than watching that whale of man trot onto the field after one of our starters goes down. I am not a fan of bringing Mangold either. The following quote pretty much sums up what I think of th guy. "C Nick Mangold is a shell of himself, and missed games this season for the first time in his career. After grading as one of the best, if not the best, centers in the NFL from 2006–2012, his play has taken a steep decline since 2014" If the guys is willing to come in for the vet minimum we should pick him up but I don't think that is very likely. There is a team out there who is going to overpay him. I think Mixon is a good RB but he is a scum bag. The infamous video showing him knocking out a woman was not a one time thing. People have said that he assaulted his girlfriend in highschool as well. And then there was this.... "Oklahoma suspended Mixon for one game in 2016 after an incident involving him and a parking attendant. After receiving a parking citation, Mixon confronted the attendant, tore the citation in half, and threw the pieces, which hit her in the face. According to the incident report, he then "inched at the officer" with his vehicle "to intimidate the officer". And that was after he assaulted the woman. He just doesn't get it. Even if hitting that girl was an aboration we still wouldn't take him. Its unfair but there is clear double standard when it comes to the Ravens and domestic violence. Because of that I feel confident that he isn't even on our board. There is something about Mixons situation that is different from some of the guys with a history of domestic assault, that have been drafted recently (Tyreek Hill, Frank Clark). And that is video. It did Ray Rices career in and it is going to make it much harder for a team to defend his actions to fans around the league. And thats not fair, but it is reality. I do like the rest of your projections though.

The only issue with your predictions is that as of now Demarcus Walker is projected to get picked in the second round. Desmond is in the same boat. He is projected to get picked in the second or the first.

Its not what I say, It is what everybody else says besides you and a few others in this forum. Have you found any articles that share your opinion on Juice this season? At some point you have to ask yourself if you really believe that you are more adept at evaluating players than coaches players and pundits. Once you answer that question honestly I think you may come to realize that you dont really know as much about football as you think you do. And by acknowledging this you could actually try to learn something about the game. Instead of blindly repeating the same things over and over again. I do agree with that we shouldn't overpay for the guy and really I wouldn't be really upset if he left. I am not debating whether I think he should stay or go. I am disputing your notion that Juice is a terrible blocker. And I would be happy to concede defeat if you find an article or interview (or even a blog) that shares your thoughts.

Its clear that you think these "ratings" are randomly pulled out of someone back side. You shouldn't be so quick to criticize something that you have very little knowledge of. They are not all over the place but people tend to say that when there perception of a player does not match the ranking which they received. And its abundantly clear why this happens. Yea you can keep saying that over and over again, but saying he can't block is an extreme exaggeration for this season. And again there is not doubt in my mind that you are basing your opinion on him based on just TWO plays. But it seems you must know more than the pundits, coaches, and other players that have complimented him on his blocking. If you can find an article online or anywhere that says Juice was a terrible blocker this year I would love to see it. You are going to be looking for a while. And again Im not saying the guys is Leach but saying he can't block is absurd, which is par for the course for you. Now I know you remembered the two plays against the Pats and the Giants where Juice had bad plays, but if you are in fact basing you opinion on the guy based on the entirety of the season you should be able to name other instances when he screwed up. am not saying there aren't other instances where he messed up but I don't think you would be able to name any of them off of the top of your head. Which would validate my theory that those two plays are all you remember of Juice this season. Lets see the video of all the other times he messed up. Post a link, I would be interested in seeing it. The other possibility is that you are basing your evaluation of Juices play on those two plays and his play from last season. He did struggle last season in the blocking department. The only issue with using Boyle as a FB is his height. At 6'4 defenders will have a better chance at getting under his pads. There have been taller FBs that have been successful in the league. But Boyle is a pretty stiff guy. And because of that it is going to make it tough for him to consistently keep his pad level down. But with the log jam at TE it is certainly worth a try. If he can do it, his versatility could give coaches a little more flexibility when deciding which players to activate on game days.,

You're right about the fact that Juice is no Vontae leach, but I don't think he was as bad as people like yourself are making him out to be. The guy was rated as the second best blocking FB in football. He is an above average blocker. He did have a few big misses in the blocking department. He made a big improvement in his blocking skills this year compared to the last. With all of that said I wouldn't be terribly upset if he signed somewhere else.

Totally agree. Let him walk. Also, hardly a good lead blocker in the run game. Get a real fullback. If your definition of being "hardly a good lead blocker" is a guy who comes in 2nd in the league in blocking proficiency, then yea he is "hardly a good lead blocker: That said, I am not opposed to the idea of letting him walk.

There have been no QBs that have taken a pay cut to their already agreed upon salaries. The only time a QB came close o doing it was the year Peyton won the SB. He restructured his contract and converted 4 mil dollars into incentives. By winning the SB of course he was payed that 4 mil and thereby did not actually taking a pay cut. But this is the only case where this has come close to happening and clearly only occurred because Manning realised it was probably his last season. What really happens is that they just shuffle money around to help with the cap. But in no way shape or form are they receiving less money than their contract stipulated. But when you do this you are pushing money down the line and the FO has to decide if that is a good idea. But I don't see any reason that Joe wouldn't do this if the FO asked him to, no matter how many kids he has. I am unsure how one who is a regular contributor in this forum has not been able to grasp this concept. It could just be selective remembrance.

And how did he do? He played lights out. He graded out as the second best RT in the league in his first year as starter. You are right about his 2015 season where his performance was really poor. I think a lot of that can be attributed to the fact that he had a hard time staying healthy that year. And then of course as you stated he had another stand out performance in 2016. You will see what a difference Wagner makes when we don't have im for this upcoming season. And know I don't think that John Urscel could fill his spot.

It seems as if your memory is deceiving you. There are a lot of falsehoods that you have perpetuated in this statement concerning Rick Wagner. I think a lot of that can be attributed to the fact that he had a hard time staying healthy that year. And then of course as you stated he had another stand out performance in 2016. His pff grades for the last three years were as follows, 84.7 - 45.8 - 84.5. These numbers really highlight how terribly he played that 2015 season but that number is sandwiched between two pro bowl level numbers. There is a risk in taking him because of that 2015 season but there is nothing that would point to the fact that his high level of play is a result of the system he is in. He will do better if the team who signs him relies heavily on the pass because pass protection is his strong suit and I do agree that giving him LT money would be a mistake.

It's certainly not the end all be all but I find that it is the one that stays up to date. There are other similar sites and there is not going to be agreement between them, but usually the first few players at each position are fairly consistent. There is also game tape on guys you can check out on youtube. I wouldn't get too carried away with watching it all though, before you know it it's going to be all over and done with. If it's your first draft it's definitely going to be pretty interesting. There are always guys expected to be taken in the 2nd or 3rd that make it all the way to the 7th, or don't even get drafted. And then there guys expected to be taken late that get taken early. They never get picked how they're ranked and of course there are always going to be players taken late that end up having much better careers than guys taken early. Nothing is certain. And there will be guys that are ranked as UDFAs now that shoot up boards after the combine times come in. I'd be interested to know how you became a fan of the Ravens. Don't feel obligated to answer but if you don't mind I'd love to know. I know there is a small Lebanese community here in the city.

I think you're underestimating the cost that it takes to "trade up". You're suggesting we spend early round picks on, a couple receivers, two corners and a safety, and a replacement for either Williams or Orr. If we do what you're suggesting there will be no mid round picks left and depending how far we "trade up" for the "2 high round corners and a safety", there will also be some picks that we would have to forfeit in next years draft. I also think you are underestimating Wallace's value. He made a lot of great plays for us last year and eclipsed the 1000 yard mark. His cap hit is high but I think we will sign him to a longer term deal to bring it down a bit. Behind him we don't have any proven receivers on the team. I was also impressed with his leadership last year. It wasn't something that I was expecting to see from him. Obviously he took a backseat to Steve in that department, as he should have, but I think he will be able to really step up for us next year on the field and off. He seems hungry. I don't think Juice will ever be a real "contributor" as a running back, but hopefully he won't have too many suitors so we can bring him back as a FB.

Latavius Murray has only hit the 1000 yards mark once, and Lacy has a total of 1118 yards for the last two years. These are "factual statistics". Sure we could "utilize a veteran 1000 yd RB" but we have much more pressing needs. Another "fact" which you seem to have misrepresented is that Cleveland's release of West had nothing to do with his production. Frank.... picking up either Latavius or Eddy would be a huge mistake. Such a big mistake that there aren't any guys in the front office even considering it. You and probably only about 100 other Ravens fans would actually think this is a good idea. Could we use running back help? Absolutely, and we have both the draft and FA to add a few running backs, but under no circumstances will we be trying to throw money at the top two backs in FA this year.
