No Doubt Buck has potential, and could be our Number 1 Back next year or the year after. I'm pulling for him, he runs hard, blocks well and has decent hands...
Players shouldn't be proving themselves at week 12 to try to get re signed next year. They should be proving themselves week 1, and constantly improving. Then you'll really get the Money.
Wouldn't hurt to pick up Cary Williams, we'll get him cheap and he can still play.
Good to hear Joe's surgery went well.
KO needs to get paid. I never thought I would say my least favorite player was not a Patriot, but Suh is a dirt bag and takes the prize.
This is a very winnable game. But don't be surprised to be the underdog. No team with a Back Up QB will be favored to win on the road.
Bart Scott cracks me up. The wizard of OZ really worked some magic that day. Talk about Dropping the Deuce.
This is a GREAT Move by the Ravens. Not only do we put ourselves at an advantage for a defensive, running style team to slow the game down some. But you can guarantee the amount of Torn ACL's, MCL, Achilles etc decreases immediately for our team as playing on turf is very hard on the body.
Matt Schaub did his Job. He got the win. He hasn't played for nearly 2 years as a starter, I'm sure he will settle in and play better each week.
Wow, SSS up for Walter Payton man of the year! That's special. Best of luck
I agree 100%. Even if you get a low first round draft pick, you still will get a strong player. Every team has different needs whether it be a QB, Pass Rusher, Monster O lineman, etc. So Having the 4th pick vs. the 7th pick doesn't make as much a difference as most people think. Actually playing to win, and having young talent from college and around the league wanting to play in baltimore is much more important than 1 high pick...And who says OZ cant trade up for a higher pick if the player he wants is still on the board?? Play to win, and good things happen.
Harbs can lead a team, and he is a proven motivator. The only thing I'd like to see improve is his choice of coordinators and getting a group together that can win in our division and in with our talent.
1. Matt Shaub can run this offense, he moved the ball well and got us in position to put point on the board. Flacco, he's not, but our offense is not that complicated 2. Secondary still gave up too many big plays, and cannot cover good WR's 3. Buck Allen can carry the load 4. Nice to see a pass rush show up 5. Most important takeaway from last night was special teams put up points. We've never been a blow out offensive team, but we could always rely on Special Teams or defense for points. Outside of the obvious problems, the lack of playmakers on D and Special teams has been a big issue. Maybe some of the young guys who are playing for a job will replace some of the lackluster Vets.
Good, we play better at 1 anyway.
Matt won a lot of games for a stretch in Houston as their starting QB. Hope he goes out and plays well for the RAVENS. Not saying he is better or even a close second to Joe. But let's be honest, Joe was struggling with Turnovers and clock management this season. Let's get behind Matt and hope to get some Pride wins and ruin some other teams chance at the playoffs...
Joe's contract would have been re done even if he didn't get injured. Since the big payday, we've been in the playoffs 1 out of 3 seasons. He will be fine when he returns and should be able to play at the same high level. The main concern now will be the long term question. If that knee takes another hit, the ravens need to have a back up QB who is being groomed to be a starter ala Favre/Rogers.
Kaepernick not even a close fit in baltimore. John did Jim a favor by handing over Boldin. San Fran not doing us any favors by dumping Kapernick on us.
Matt is a good QB, and capable of running this offense. We don't have the deep plays this year so his arm strength won't be a huge issue, so if he keeps it simple, Buck Allen gets moving, and uses the big Tight Ends, we should be OK. Keep us in some games and go out respectable. If he plays well, he won't be back next year
Joe will be fine. He has a long career ahead of him. Just get him some O lineman to protect him and a coordinator to develop an offense around him.
I'm curious if any team in history has had their #1 QB, #1 RB, #1 WR, and #1 Defensive player all out at the same time??
Joe's a monster for even returning to the game on that final drive. Glad he went out on a win. Now who's jersey do I wear, all my guys are out??
Mosley's decline in pay is due to lack of pressure from our D line. Losing Suggs and ngata up front doesn't leave him free to roam as much. And without Pernell McPhee at OLB the Linebacking corp is weaker this season. Ozzie has his work cut out for him this offseason.
Please tell Trestman Joe's record when he passes more than 40 times. He can still put up strong numbers with 40 pass attempts, if he calls a balanced game and allows the Run game to open up the pass game.
Welcome to Baltimore...But Really, a tight end?? That is the one position we actually don't need any help. Would've like to have seen another DB or a Pass Rusher...

Herm Edwards is 100% right about the players nowadays. Luckily we seem to have a group of players who care more about the team than the individual. We have to give Harbs credit for that.
