  1. Three observation about the draft: 1.Grades are ridiculous 2. So much hype , so much nonsense. 3. Can't miss picks? Another silly designation. But this is the time of the year enthusiasm is high, after all the ravens are unbeaten. Pass the purple cool aide which, btw, I love.
  2. How much money did he make as a Raven? Had to be one or two million. I never understood how players who have made good money get caught up in illegal schemes ( if that is what happened).
  3. Pass rush, pass rush, and pass rush are the three keys to beating the Patriots.
  4. He has pretty much followed the same pattern as a pro as in college. Made spectacular catches and then dropped balls that he should have had. You can't teach what he needs -- one has it or not. Remember when the problem was a " lack of concentration"? I hope I'm wrong .
  5. I am not comparing Flacco to Unitas except in one respect--Unitas never showed emotion on any play ( I watched him for years) Flacco shows more emotion , watch his reaction to a TD pass. Leadership takes many forms. Ray's vision represents what he was as a player and that's what he expects of "good leaders". Ray would have not been impressed with Unitas or others who differ from his vision -- and that's his prerogative.
  6. I do not understand Perriman -- He makes a tremendous catch for a TD but drops a pass that hits him in the hands. Seems to be his MO as he done the same thing in other games. Head scratching to me.
  7. My guess is that Kessler will be considered for offensive rookie of the year after he plays the Ravens. Normally they make McCown look like a HOFer.
  8. What was his injury history when he was with the Ravens?
  9. Better 3-0 than 0-3 -- even with the problems to which you referred.
  10. No running game -- biggest problem. Also, where's Aiken? Should play him.
  11. Perriman made a great catch and then dropped one that he should have had-- that has been pattern for him. Also, first down on the 13 yard line and two runs are called. Mindboggling to me.
  12. Gotta love the kool aid that we drink in August -- every year. Mmm good.
  13. just curious -- what would have been his salary? Is that woth it to have him coach Stanley if he re-injures his knee?
  14. All is well that ends well.
  15. The Raven's FO know what Tucker is worth to the team and what they can afford for the team's future-- I don't have that knowledge therefore they will do what is best, in the long run for the team. ( Boy--I hope they are right). As far as Tucker's comments about next year--I take them with a grain of salt. A lover's spat. All of us have said similar things in the past and then made up. We'll see.
  16. Hope that it's true but we'll see.
  17. Perriman will never hit the field in a real game for the Ravens. Sorry, but that's reality. I agree. It's tough enough to play in the NFL with two good knees but with two bad knees without being hit? Perriman's future doesn't look promising. Too bad for him and the Ravens.
  18. Disappointing but can't miss what you have never had. The Ravens have some good receivers and Chris Moore looked like the real deal in films. As for Perriman, hope that he gets well and is able to play. Tough break for him and the Ravens.
  19. What , exactly, are you bona fides with regard to drafting football players? The Ravens didn't draft the person that you thought was the best. I wonder how many times that sentiment is expressed by fans for every team-- either for or against a player. List your picks now and then next year they can be shared to see how effective you were in your selections so that you can be graded.
  20. Really? RGlll was inducted into the HOF after being picked -- adoring fans who gushed at how great he would be. The once in a decade player AKA J. Clowney was all pro last year-- ah, not so much. No- brainer? The draft is littered with " no- brainers" and flops. I'm sure that others on thi thread can add their own " no- brainers".
  21. I wonder how many people who thought that the Ravens should have drafted Jack had previously posted that taking Perriman was a mistake because of his knee? ( Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. Also, he didn't even have a reported knee problem)
  22. Makes sense to me.
  23. I tried to go to the link about Moore but could not access it. Will try later. Also, your comment about Jack and the question that you posed-- excellent.
