  1. I'm not blaming defense for this loss. They have at least played at high level. No the total blame goes to the ineptitude of the offense and more specifically Joe Flacco who has dubious honor of the worst Quarterback in the NFL 2016.

Then you weren't watching the game. Joe was fine. Far from perfect but was fine. Penalties killed at least three drives. The officials screwed us and injuries finished us off.

this game was lost mainly by J Zuttah , he was either missing blocks or holding, that Personal foul he was flagged on was just a stupid stupid play on his behalf, he is just hot garbage this year, also we have the worst cover CBs in the league, without JSmith would couldn't cover anybody, I could make all those short wide open passes that Dakmade

The call of personal foul was not a foul. Never should have come close to being called. Refs hosed us.

  3. Am I the only one wondering where the no-huddle was? It's worked well for us in the past, and it got us going last week, yet we don't use it until there are 10 mins left in the game. It worked immediately when we used it, but our defense couldn't get off the field to give us another shot. Maybe the coaching staff should watch tape of the SB run. This offense could be good if they spread it out, put Flacco in the shotgun, and pick up the tempo.

Nope they should have switched to that the entire second half. They started it too late.

  4. Penalties were an issue for us for sure. They stopped a few drives and that killed us but Dallas got away with a few very flagrant penalties that just had me jumping mad! The one in the end zone where our guy was getting manhandled was a big one as were a few others. I know there's nothing you can do about those but it sure seemed like the refs were all from Dallas!

Yep. ESPN eviscerated that crew calling them biased against Dallas so I think they were trying to make up for it. However that's no excuse we should have played better.

  5. Let me preface this by saying I've always been a huge Flacco defender and dont want to trade/cut him by any streatch. That being said, I'm seeing more and more evidence that Ray has a point, and an important one. Joe clearly loves football, you don't achieve the kind of success in the NFL without loving the game. Tony Lombardi from RSR explains the reality of the situation in his "word on the street" podcast. Flacco realizes this is his job, he wants to win, and puts in some extra time to be better and to make sure his job is safe. He doesn't however, have the necessary passion/fire/ambition whatever you want to call it, required to be the best. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, and Phillip Rivers have that and that is why he will never be as good as them. You could argue he is more talented than all of them, but that is only half the battle. Love Flacco, he is a very good quarterback, but that doesn't mean he is above criticism.

Tony is a well known Flacco hater. I don't put much in what he has to say especially after he admits quitting on the team and going to games.

  6. If you are really honest with yourself, you'll admit Ray Lewis's fiery speeches have always been equal parts performing for the camera and motivating the troops. To me this is totally an example of the former - saying something provocative to put the spotlight back on himself, and to draw ratings for the new TV show he works for. Nothing more. It is a selfish, petty and also untrue statement.

I am not a Flacco fanboy but long ago I accepted that Joe is not an extroverted guy - that doesn't mean he isn't passionate about the team and about winning. He clearly is. Go watch his last play from last season, when his knee had just been demolished, and he stayed on the field anyway. Go look for photos of his leg after the 2009 playoff games, when his thigh was one giant bruise and he played anyway. Ray Lewis is no idiot, he saw these things too, so it's obviously a publicity stunt.

This nails it. Get Ray to say something stupid, then hype it up and comment on it = Ratings! Same as steal underpants - - = Money! (South Park Underpant gnomes ep).

Sorry Joe, but sometimes the truth hurts...also Ray Lewis is the all time #1 Raven and is still missed on the field and locker room...He doesn't need the attention!

And Ray Lewis getting hurt almost cost Joe his ring. Ray was disingenuous not to mention that Joe, super bowl MVP Joe with the exact same demeanor, was the reason he got his second ring. We won that super bowl because of Joe's amazingness and despite the ineffectiveness of an injured Ray.

I love Ray, but he is letting the Ravens down here attacking an injured Joe with a 2nd and 3rd string line who can't protect him.

  9. I keep hearing by some Ravens dont have a chance. Get real. Name 1 great defense cowboys have faced yet?? None..until Ravens. Ravens shutdown Zeke, Force Dak into tough decisions Ravens win cause Cowboys d is swiss cheese.

Sidenote Bungals lost just now. Also helping us out

Eagles. And the Cowboys struggled against them especially Dak. Dak and Elliot look great because of that amazing O-line. When the Eagles took it away they struggled. We will take away the run. The rest will be where the game will play out.

  10. Our defense is capable of keeping our game with the Cowboys close, but I still don't see us winning, because Joe Flacco and the offense.

It would not be fair to ask our defense to shut out the best O-line in the league and to carry our team to yet another win. Their job is to keep the game close enough and I have no doubt they are able to do it.

But then Flacco will trot on to the field for 3 icky-dicky plays, probably dump the ball off to closest player who'll get 2 yards, and then skip back to the sidelines again with that smug smirk on his face like he just won us the SB.

So unless we can unleash West&co, it's going to be a looong game for us Sunday. And considering both our starting Gs are hurt, it won't be easy to find much running room.

It's the O-line RaRa. It wasn't good to start with (including the complete insanity of starting two rookies on the left side) and when any link breaks now, it all falls apart. It was/is this line that is supposed to protect the quarterback coming back early from a devastating injury that takes a year of playing to fully recover from.

Plus Joe, IMHO, is in a lot of pain, either from the previous injury or a new one from earlier this year. Haven't you ever heard the saying "Smile when you are in pain!"? It helps mask the pain and conceal it from your enemies.

  11. he has a tendency to drop the easy ones and grab the impossible ones. He needs to work on his concentration when its a simple throw and catch.

    As usual, Sami nails it.

I keep joking that they have to throw him only tough to catch balls because he drops all the gift wrapped tosses and buddy passes. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this. If you don't see it, if you go back and watch his tape, it's almost tragically funny in what you will see.

If it seems like a pass that you could have caught, then he drops it. If it seems like a pass no one at all could even get a glove on the he snags it like magic. Very disconcerting, like mecanum wheels.

If I wasn't a ravens fan I'd probably be thinking it wasn't really a catch but I'm glad for him that it was.He needs to work on those hands though. He's had some ugly drops. He dropped a wide open one last night and that almost wasn't a TD.If he can find his way in the second half of this season, that would be the breakthrough this offense needs to get over this slump....Well that along with our o line staying healthy.

Honestly I think since it was called a catch, it had to stay that way. It hit the ground a little but it was completely in his arms and grasp at the same time. You're right the Oline needs to stay healthy. But imo, it's ALL on Joe now. He has played AWFUL and scared this entire year except for 3 out of the last 4 halfs. Esp. with 10 days off, it loks like the oline is getting healthy, we changed Cord. whih he basically begged for, 2 awesome backs, and weapons galore in the passing game. He's starting to pick it up but he has looked worse than I've seen him in years so far this year. If it's cuz his knee then he shouldn't have come back so soon. No excuses. We would've strted 7-0 no question with averae or OK qb play. That's in the past though. From here on out is what matters. If Joe plays well, I honestly don't think anybody can beat us with the D we have. I think we have better weapons on O than we've ever had. Just my opinion. As John said, it's time to play December ball and start kickin butt beat and beating teams up

Lame. Joe did just fine, he gave good QB play. If the defense didn't blow 2 games or if the WR didn't drop buddy pass touchdowns in 3 games, or .... We are where we are and it is not on Joe, it's everyone.

Can't you just be happy for BP? He got that monkey off his back. I expect bigger and bigger things for him with each week now.

  13. So, let me ask everyone for his/her honest opinion, not just a fanboy/girl opinion :)

    Was the Perriman touchdown legit?

Yes because of the rules regarding replay and determination of a catch. If it was called incomplete on the field it would have also been ruled incomplete by replay. It is currently very difficult to overturn the field call on catches/non-catches by replay with the rules put in place this past off season.

  14. Good game but everyone know that getting to Flacco and causing him to fear the rush efffectively shuts down the ravens offense. Dallas won't have a bit of a problem making Flacco so afraid that he probably doesn't complete half his passes, suffers a major blow out and will probably have to change his pants IF we don't find a way to fix this line. I made the comment that we have a bunch of old guys up front and we are paying the high wages of the old guys and letting quality new guys walk. We can't afford to do that anywhere on this team. Where would we be if we kept KO, OR Kyle Long would have been a great backup addition to have but although he was signed elsewhere, we argued over his knee and now we have no backup save THE flacco-killer. The Ravens FO has become procrastination central. When solutions come up they make up an excuse why it won't work , its a little hot and we will wait something will eventually pop-up. So we wait and something else comes along but its a little too cold so Ozzie says no. And then something else comes along and its too hard, or too soft, or too whatever. Sounds like Goldilocks (Goldislost). Nothing is ever just right to pick up a good quality player but we can turn down good food from the table to go dumpster diving for talent. Sorry for the metaphors, just am out of ways to say this team needs to add quality pieces and if the QB has to take a paycut for that to happen so be it. The best QBs in the league have all done that when the team needed to add key pieces. We've shown we can win, now lets go out and get the pieces to nail down a post season spot. We are now past the trade deadline so the only thing we can pick up at this point since the boat already sailed on trading for quality players, is the dumpster of refugee players that can't make it on other teams. All the diamonds in the rough are gone Ozzie, you blew the chance to make the team better until the next draft. Think Ozzie either has too many or the wrong people whispering in his ear.

Kyle along can't even get out of his stance up in Minnesota. It was fortunate that we didn't sign him.

I really think it is the O line coaching that is screwing up the offense. Every season that Castillo has been in charge we have faired poorly and the line has looked terrible.

Alex Lewis is a diamond from the rough, so is Judson, so is Pierce, so was Tucker, Will Lutz looks like a nice Tucker copy with almost but not quite as strong a leg, so I think you are off base in this department.

Can't you enjoy the win and see if they can build off this? Last year the defense improved in the second half of the season so if they can continue to do that again this year, look out.

  15. Good game! Hopefully Joe has his INTs out the way now because the Ravens can beat them Cowboys but Joe gotta clean it up! Some of us complain about Joe's play it's on paper because numbers don't Lie people do and its on display every week! Time of season two INTs will cost you the game so hopefully the past two games have our squad primed and ready to Wreak havoc because Joe can take down brady but he has to do better! PS Feeling good this weekend LOL

PD96 I thought you would be ecstatic today since when they turned Joe loose last night in the no huddle he played really well. You have been screaming for this all season, and I have to admit that you appear to be right. Turn Joe loose in the no huddle and let him sling it where he calls the shots. Hat tip to PD96!

  16. 1. Seems like when they let Joe call the shots (no huddle) Joe did really well. To me this seems like he has a better feel of the game flow than the OC.

    2. Right on cue as soon as T West gets something going they take him out and either go pass crazy or bring in another back. T West needs to get a feel for the game and be left in.

    3. Is Darren Waller something special or what? His first TD and another ball downed in the one yard line on ST. I love his great grandfather, the legendary Fats Waller and I love Darren. I have high hopes for him.

    4. Perriman has the monkey off his back. Now we need to make the passes we throw him really difficult to catch because he gets all those and misses the easy ones that hit him right in the hands. Maybe the offense has gotten the monkey off its back too. Let's hope.

    5. Eric Weddle! Much as I love Mike Wallace and his insane speed, Weddle has proven he is the best free agent signing this off season. Though I hope they continue compete for that honor.

PS 6. Yea for no broken bones in Alex Lewis' leg/ankle/foot ! Because that looked worse than if his ankle turned to powder. Good bet his dance training had something to do with his luck on that. Good luck healing big guy!

Also I forgot Suggs, isn't that such a nice thing when you forget Suggs Because, he looks like the QB terrorizing monster we all have come to know and love? Size is back in prime form. So is SSS. On par for 1000 catches in Dallas! In a big show on a big stage, just like him.
