I hope Butler and Brown make the practice squad. I think that they are trying to sneak in Butler but he won't make it. I doubt that Butler will make it because the Patriots are in desolate territory and desperately need WR help. They will steal him away because he catches everything thrown to him that is catchable like Boldin. That is just want the Patriots need and want. I just think it would be miserable to see him there. Maybe the sneaking him to the squad will help. His problem is getting separation, he is tough and has glue like hands and the ball sticks when he is hit. But he was always hit right when /after he caught the ball in the preseason games I watched. I can't tell if that was on him or Schaub and Renner. He was even breaking tackles on some of those plays. I just think he needs reps to get some initial separation. Seriously he is a rookie (though maybe his red shirt year was a "red shirt" year of you know what I mean) he just needs a little time. If It was next year without SSS he may have made the squad. All said and done he is too similar to Aiken and Brown and even Campanero in some way, but possession receivers move the ball, better to have someone who can catch and then hold onto the ball than Lee Evans. As I told my Bills friend that Ty will be great for them. He couldn't show it here because they had Joe and were not going to redesign the offense for him, but Rex can. He also learned a lot under Gary last year. Good luck Ty! Make the absolute best of it.

Does anyone have the link to the article where Butler said he thinks the player he is most like is Boldin? It was either right before or right after last year's draft. He looked better than Aiken last year in camp. Is it just me, or does the receiving corps look totally different since Steve Smith Sr and Bobby Ingram got here? Different in a good way.

Danny, you are right about Ray, do you remember that game about 4 years ago where it looked like he tore his triceps and kept playing despite not being able to move his arm? He stayed in and the next play he was the only one to make a tackel on a guy and had to horse collar the man. Then the rest of the D realized that and picked up their play and he got something at halftime and his arm looked better, but even the announcers said they thought that he tore his triceps and kept playing.

I dont think Tyson or Guy aew not getting kudos. I think we tend to pull for the kids right now in preseason for them to get a shot and to see what kind of upside they have. You are right though availability is the best asset a player possesses.

Dorota, no deer antler is not allowed. This is the case where I think doctors should be allowed to use enhanced treatment methods, to help these guys heal faster and better under strict medical supervision and guidance. I don't think making them leave the country like Manning for his neck, just to get the best treatment possible is reasonable or the best for the player and society.

Never trust John when it comes to injury reports on Ravens players. That is a good thing, BTW. John is using a tactic to obfuscate the true nature of the injuries so opponents are misled and he can gain Tactical advantage. Preseason is practise time for coaches too....
