  1. I hope Butler and Brown make the practice squad. I think that they are trying to sneak in Butler but he won't make it. I doubt that Butler will make it because the Patriots are in desolate territory and desperately need WR help. They will steal him away because he catches everything thrown to him that is catchable like Boldin. That is just want the Patriots need and want. I just think it would be miserable to see him there. Maybe the sneaking him to the squad will help. His problem is getting separation, he is tough and has glue like hands and the ball sticks when he is hit. But he was always hit right when /after he caught the ball in the preseason games I watched. I can't tell if that was on him or Schaub and Renner. He was even breaking tackles on some of those plays. I just think he needs reps to get some initial separation. Seriously he is a rookie (though maybe his red shirt year was a "red shirt" year of you know what I mean) he just needs a little time. If It was next year without SSS he may have made the squad. All said and done he is too similar to Aiken and Brown and even Campanero in some way, but possession receivers move the ball, better to have someone who can catch and then hold onto the ball than Lee Evans. Good luck Jeremy! Selfishly I hope you make our practice squad and then to regular games mid season. Unselfishly I hope you make any other first team than the Steelers or the Patriots. Thank you for putting all

  2. Flacco got roughed up just one play after the scuffle. Am I the only one that noticed that? The Oline just watched as their quarterback got hit late for no reason. No that should have been a ejection or a fight. For real man teams should never impose their will on us. Not at home at least....

No, not just you. The line should have done something, like the Chargers did

“That guy was on top of Philip, and that’s our quarterback,” Dunlap said, via U-T San Diego. “I protect the quarterback at all costs.”

  3. Also I just found out that Waller is the grandson of Fats Waller, my favorite 40's jazz artist. He was so good he would sell his songs 4-5 times each because the record companies knew that if they didn't buy it they would loose money. He called his morning pint of gin his 'liquid ham and eggs'.

  4. I don't know who evaluates the Steelers wide recievers but Bisciotti should just offer that guy a million dollar salary. They're on a run of Hines Ward, Plaxico Buress, Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Emanuel Sanders, and I'm sure either Wheaton or Bryant will end up being amazing. Our drafted receiver list reads like an obituary column. Frankly I'm amazed that a franchise that seemingly does everything well can consistently fail in this one specific area.

That would be Mike Tomlin (seriously, look it up), so kind of a conflict of interest.

  5. I'm not a doctor (actually I have a couple, but I'm not an allopathic medical doctor), but reading up on Osgood shattler makes me get a pit in my stomach. It is a childhood disease frequently found in athletes but can sometimes have lingering sequella in adults that range from mild to potentially severe. There is no sense speculating on scenarios, that is why I'm just praying. With the way Harbs is talking (and I don't blame him or the doctors at all) I'm prepared for six weeks and hopefully not months because that would mean that his season is over. You can neg me if you want, but the only thing that I can do is pray for him, it really does work, if you want some of the best case studies, get the book ' The psychobiology of mind body healing' by Ernest Rossi which is the most scientific study of the area that I know of. I forget if Ernest was an MD or just PhD but he was the student of Milton Erikson MD who legitimized hypnosis in western medical practice.

  6. Danny, you are right about Ray, do you remember that game about 4 years ago where it looked like he tore his triceps and kept playing despite not being able to move his arm? He stayed in and the next play he was the only one to make a tackel on a guy and had to horse collar the man. Then the rest of the D realized that and picked up their play and he got something at halftime and his arm looked better, but even the announcers said they thought that he tore his triceps and kept playing.

  7. Dorota, no deer antler is not allowed. This is the case where I think doctors should be allowed to use enhanced treatment methods, to help these guys heal faster and better under strict medical supervision and guidance. I don't think making them leave the country like Manning for his neck, just to get the best treatment possible is reasonable or the best for the player and society.
