  1. I was praying they would get Diggs on draft day but they got Means and look where he is.
  2. I want to know where my posts here disappeared to. Anytime they get too close to the real truth, an entire article or swath of comments dissappear. At least Eisenberg didn't steal my words for an article this time.... See the self inflicted wounds article with hindsight being 20/20. I still want to know if it is real that our corner backs coach was a punter. Someone said that the other day and I'm floored if that is true. Unreal.
  3. Means instead of Diggs in the draft is biting us now.
  4. Melvin is the one guy I was sad they cut. Something seems wrong with secondary coaching above and beyond the pass rush being gone. Someone said we have a punter as the cornerbacks coach, is that possibly true? If that is true, then maybe we should start examining position coaches. It would appear Pees is a problem. The way I see it is that we have been trending down since the Superbowl (the Vegas saving blackout) when we nearly collapsed in the late game. 2013 down, 2014 last year playing the AFC south the weakest division in football seems to have covered up the secondary issues to some extent, and they are just rampant now. Either Pees is not good (IMHO) or he is doing the most amazing job of covering for impossibly poor talent and we have serious problems which cannot be corrected in even a few years of drafting. I think it is Pees. Think about Dallas, they were poor with Rob Ryan, then worse with his legendary defensive coach replacement (but very old), then last year his replacement (done gracefully and with class by not embarrassing the guy by promoting him to a consultant role) took them to top of the line defense in the league. Everyone was saying it was the players, but it was not, it was the coaching. Harbs says it, they need to coach better, but he can't connect that Pees is the problem, maybe not a bad coach, but he can't coach well with this team. Something needs to change. Belicheck was definitely taking a shot at us, just like Johnathan Kraft (who should have been punished by the leage for being critical of another team, but since he was being sarcastic in his comments, technically did not break the rules, which just proves the point of institutionalized cheating from team President to game day employee on that team). Even veiled in sarcasm the team president of an NFL franchise should not go out of his way to call another team's head coach and team "female dogs". That should have been punished. I personally think their family manipulates TV timesouts to gain an advantage and used it in the game vs us and also this year in the Denver and Oakland games to screw us in momentum. There is no rule when those timeouts are called, so since they control the contracts, they do so to help them and hurt key opponents. Technically they have done nothing wrong under the rules, see the pattern?
  5. The only reason that the D held SF to field goals is that Kaepernik is an awful QB. Yes Joe made some inexcusable interceptions. However to say that at he singlehandedly cost us the game shows that you are ignorant of what actually transpired or you are trolling. The fact you fail to account for all the drops and endzone drops nails your coffin shut. Don't feed this guy anymore.
  6. Fix those things and Joe is looking as good as last year in a more pass friendly system. Interceptions and weird off timed throws are gone.
  7. Joe has a bad QB coach this year. He needs 1. His footwork fixed and drilled like last year. 2. A lookoff, pump fake, or both. He is staring down his receivers even more than he used to. A qb coach that can't fix that should be canned immediately. The current coach is just here for another coaching job in the Ravens carousel. Beyond Useless. The footwork! How many games is he constantly throwing off his back foot? All of them this year. His position coach is too stupid and inept not to notice that and fix it. Yes Gary took his staff but that should be something they would remember to implement. It was critical to Gary's system. It is gone this year. Denison would have fixed it at halftime game one.
  8. They must fix Joe too. 1. Get his footwork right he is throwing off his back foot all this season, missing is Gary's system of footwork "we teach footwork" he said last year. 2. Teach Joe a lookoff and pump fake. He is still staring down his receivers. If the qb whisperer can't teach those things, get an assistant who can. Joe's qb coach needs to be fired too. Awful that they are letting this happen.
  9. This team needs a shake up to reset the current vibe. They take their lead from Harbs and he is stunned right now. You can hear it in his voice. He is punch drunk going into a short week. Either fire Pees immediately and try to right the ship OR stay the course fire Pees at season ends and see what Ozzie can do with a top 5 pick and new DC next year.
  10. I've had it with Pees.
  11. I wonder (or Maybe worried) what Belichick will do with Melvin....
  12. He is calling out the coaches effectiveness in a non - threatening manner. He knows what is going on. He must be positive, getting bent and raging at this point will accomplish nothing. I think that reed20fence may have a point in the precise wording about the firing of Cam Cameron, we should really look into that for comparison with Pees.
  13. Injury continues to cripple us. Get better Will.
  14. There Is a reason why Tucker always says "we made the kick" he knows and acknowledges that it is three people who have to get everything just right.
  15. The four throw and out at the end of the fourth quarter when Aiken had the ball Jarred loose, they should have called thessafety for hit to a defenseless receiver. If you go back and look he hit Aiken in the head with his shoulder and Aiken looked possibly concussed. That was a serious problem on that blown call. Yes that wrestling tackle from behind by the neck on the Bell not called was terrible and should have never allowed the TD but Aiken had the ball and both the ref and the concussion spotter missed that one. That is unacceptable.
  16. Calf injury
  17. Hensley tweeted that from Ravens-Eagles practice. At the time I thought it was a weird tweet, but maybe the team released that info throuh Hensley. I'm of the opinion that the team conceals as much info as allowed to try to gain a competative advantage (just like all other teams). Go back and read Eisenberg's column last year on this and how it is related to gambling. I think it came right after we beat the stealers by making them think that Owen Daniles was not going to play and then he did and played a big role (even though Gillmore caught the TD in that game [i think it was that game]). I'm OK with what they are doing. I'm with BalFan on Perriman, he's a rookie, yes it would be great to have him out there and it is hurting the system not to have him, but he is hurt and can't play so cowboy up and someone else needs to go make some plays. Having said that FF players might want to consider Maxx as a speculative add if your TE sucks or you had Gilmore and you didn't get Clay this morning on waivers. If you are really outside the box, take Boyle. It seems to me like one of those two will put up a TD or two. My guess is the point spread tomorrow will be similar to the Raiders game, hopefully if we put up 30+ we can make it stand up this time.
  18. @rcmcjacket - I can buy that but I listened to him lay this out on 98.5 yesterday and there was no consideration of any counter points to his article, just hammering on Joe. His topic is fair to bring up, but there are counter points to it he purposefully leaves out, some of which Sara brought up here. He is not one of the worst, ie Field Yates, but readers unfamiliar with him should know his affiliation since he comes off as a neutral national reporter.
  19. Its a PCL. Remember Hensley's tweet. PCL ~8 weeks, and if he tweaked it Sunday, likely longer.
  20. Remember Bedard is a New England "guy" he is on 98.5 regularly and we all know that reporters that critizice the Patriots regularly get on their enemies list and that means targeted for unemployment. He is not from their system, but in the "fold". Just remember to take the team political affiliations into account when reading stories from "reporters". It helps to remember who they shill for or are influenced by.
  21. When everyone on the line but Yanda has negative grades is it a wonder that Joe and the running game struggle? Who was in charge of the line in 2013 and who is in charge now? Rumor (from articles here that hinted at it) was that Gary ran the line by directly taking to them last year.
  22. Marvin Lewis has the blueprint for beating Dean Pees. I got really good at that blueprint yesterday, who is the opposing team going to throw to that will catch the ball, I was about 95% accurate if I picked the receiver who the defense didn%u2019t play at the line. I wish I was bad at that blueprint because if I%u2019m good at it, so is the opposing QB.
  23. The Kraft's control the NFL - TV/media contracts. Enough said. They can do whatever they want and get away with it because they have the power because they control the revenue stream that is most of the money the NFL makes. You want some team's momentum paused or continued, sure it would be no problem to take a TV timeout here, or not take one where we should. No problem if it means we get more/premium matchups....
  24. To those saying players, players, players. I say: Yesterday I got really good a game called who is the opposing team going to throw to that will catch the ball. I was about 95% accurate if I picked the/a receiver who the defense didn%u2019t play on the line of scrimmage. I wish I was bad at that game because if I%u2019m good at it, so is the opposing QB.
