Melvin is the one guy I was sad they cut. Something seems wrong with secondary coaching above and beyond the pass rush being gone. Someone said we have a punter as the cornerbacks coach, is that possibly true? If that is true, then maybe we should start examining position coaches. It would appear Pees is a problem. The way I see it is that we have been trending down since the Superbowl (the Vegas saving blackout) when we nearly collapsed in the late game. 2013 down, 2014 last year playing the AFC south the weakest division in football seems to have covered up the secondary issues to some extent, and they are just rampant now. Either Pees is not good (IMHO) or he is doing the most amazing job of covering for impossibly poor talent and we have serious problems which cannot be corrected in even a few years of drafting. I think it is Pees. Think about Dallas, they were poor with Rob Ryan, then worse with his legendary defensive coach replacement (but very old), then last year his replacement (done gracefully and with class by not embarrassing the guy by promoting him to a consultant role) took them to top of the line defense in the league. Everyone was saying it was the players, but it was not, it was the coaching. Harbs says it, they need to coach better, but he can't connect that Pees is the problem, maybe not a bad coach, but he can't coach well with this team. Something needs to change. Belicheck was definitely taking a shot at us, just like Johnathan Kraft (who should have been punished by the leage for being critical of another team, but since he was being sarcastic in his comments, technically did not break the rules, which just proves the point of institutionalized cheating from team President to game day employee on that team). Even veiled in sarcasm the team president of an NFL franchise should not go out of his way to call another team's head coach and team "female dogs". That should have been punished. I personally think their family manipulates TV timesouts to gain an advantage and used it in the game vs us and also this year in the Denver and Oakland games to screw us in momentum. There is no rule when those timeouts are called, so since they control the contracts, they do so to help them and hurt key opponents. Technically they have done nothing wrong under the rules, see the pattern?
