  1. I should say that first and foremost we ARE NOT in the bottom tier of the league. Sitting at 8-8 with a few games we SHOULD have won. Now granted I'll agree with you that Coaching infuriated me in the games, but cutting Harbaugh at this junction in time is not the answer. With that being said I'm all for putting our current OC on the chopping block. Give Joe control of the 2-minute drill, that's why he's so slow getting to the line, he's waiting for the play call. Keep Pees for shore, Defense played well this year, maybe not down the stretch but overall they played well. Finally we have Ozzie, I'm so conflicted here because a large part of me loves him too much to call for him being relieved of duty. He's failed on quite a few early picks recently, I love, love, love, Ronnie Stanley but when I heard the names of our 2nd and 3rd rounder's I was scratching my head. CJ and Stanley seem to be our only reliable 1st rounder's since drafting Joe back almost a decade ago. I think Ozzie is still finding talent in the later rounds the only problem being is that we can never retain these players once they start shining. So overall I think the positives on keeping Ozzie far outweigh the negatives. Could be worst....we could be Cleveland (A true "bottom tier" team) For everyone that is panning Ozzie, I really think you need to look at turnover in the scouting staff. It has been plundered of all the most valuable talent, so much so that it may have compromised the ability of Ozzie to get it right. I think that this would be an awesome research article for Hensley or Zerbiac to tackle. Most valuable talent? They lost Joe Douglas to the Bears last year, who went to the Eagles this year and took Andy Weidl with him. The Bears draft pick when Douglas was there - WR Kevin White who's seen the field less than Perriman despite being drafted 7th OVERALL. What did he do in Philly this year? Traded 2 x 1st Round picks, 2nd Round pick, 3rd Round pick to move up 6 spots to draft Wentz. Wentz looked lost at the end of the season against good teams and threw 16 TDs vs 14 INTS. Not exactly the guy I trade away my two entire drafts for. In fact, you can make a case based of the quality of this draft, that maybe those guys were the problem and letting them walk was the best move. I'm talking about like 5or 6 years ago. The guy who runs the senior bowl was a Ravens scout, and I thought he took a couple people with him and there were several scouts scooped up by other organizations 3-4 years ago. After that I lost track. That's also why I was hoping someone would do an article on the topic. I could be wrong, but I thought we had been pillaged for some time and were starting to recover. Still doesn't explain why we passed on spence for KC. After that fight in the first preseason scrimmage where Pitta broke his hand, he never looked right.
  2. I hope that maybe this is smokescreen for a big move. I guess we will find out or get an inclination tomorrow at 11am.

  4. Do you really like the lack of play action Joe? Do you really like throwing it behind the sticks? Do you really like receivers not getting open for you? Do you really like no running game by choice? Because none of this will change without the OC changing, he couldn't even adapt at halftime. I'm sure you are unbelievably sick of the constant turnover which has stunted your professional career, but this isn't the time. Rick will be free in zero time flat if not free now, scream until they reinstate Gary's system. My only other choice is to fall in with the crew that thinks you are clueless. Steve B may have to step in to save the day again.
  5. They abandoned the run game and the deep ball, and continued this pattern with Marty. We will be easy to defend and this will lead to failure because Marty sure didn't show any ability to adapt or be remotely creative. He didn't even have them ready for a two minute drill at NE. He is slow getting the plays called. If this is true, next year will be horrible to watch a team worse than this year because everyone playing the Ravens will know exactly how to stop them.
  6. They didn't have a strong offensive game vs. NE. Not at all.
  7. Please, someone tell me this is a joke article. That my team is not committing suicide by keeping Marty as the OC.
  8. If this is true, that no change at OC is coming, then I am in agreement that Harbs should be fired. Marty and Castillo should be fired at a minimum. This is more disturbing than the season we just endured. I can accept that John made the mistake of not getting rid of Trestman after last year, but to not correct it now means that he really can't self evaluate and will destroy this team next year, the only variable will be how long he sets it back. I really can't believe I'm reading this.
  9. Kamar, if you do read this, I've really enjoyed watching you and will be sad if you go somewhere else.
  10. Joe has publicly stated that he wanted Kamar more involved in the offense this year, and implied that he was lobbying, hard, for just that. I think it's a coaching thing. I think most of the receivers like Joe. From reading this the offensive coaching went loopy and didn't recover when Marty was fired. You can find Joe's quote in press conference notes. I assumed that Kamar was to have an expanded role next year, but this makes me believe that they don't think much of him. They being Marty and Marc, and Joe couldn't pressure them through the media. It's unfortunate because Kamar is one seriously tough dude.
  11. Not so sure about that. I would go with the same plan but run everything through Rick. Give Gary a light weight consultation job for a year - overall game planning the offensive direction and long term progression plan for both Joe and the offensive side of the ball. Make sure if he comes in that he stays sitting with Ozzie for the first year and only works part time with mandated minimum 4 days per week off. Give the reigns to Rick and make sure he brings in the same staff Gary had here especially the line coach and TE coach. And for the love of god lock Rick and he Joe in a room before the season starts and get them on the same page about chunk plays instead of waiting until half way through the year when Joe gets so fed up that he has his argument with the OC that chunk plays are needed. Yes, he even did this with Gary and the difference was that Gary actually listened and that is when the offense really started taking off. Also please make sure we game plan really speedy two minute drills and for receivers to get beyond or at least to the sticks in 3rd downs. Please. Not so sure about that?? Do you have a direct line to someone in Kubs inner circle? This is crazy, a 2 year plan and a schedule for the guy. Why in the world would Gary agree to do that. This is a pipe dream. Its not like Gary has this secret formula that Rick doesn't know about. Getting all of the same positions coaches is pointless and probably not possible. Everything doesn't have to be exactly how it was when Gary was here. Even if we were able to get all of the guys that were here in 2012 it doesn't mean that we would be just as successful as we were then. Whoever the offensive coordinator is should be able to hire the guys that he wants to hire. Whether its Rick or someone else. And I am pretty sure about the fact that Kubiak is hanging up the whistle. While were at it we mine as well hire Marvin Lewis to be our DC and bring in all of his assistant coaches that were apart of the 2000 team. Because he said as much in his press conference. And part of why it went so well here was because of the extreme loyalty that Kubiak and his crew have for each of the and I see Rick doing something similar as what Gary did. Hell, the reason Gary even came here was because of Rick's loyalty to him. If Rick wanted to take over and run the show without Gary, fine, but I suspect he would want Gary involved. The schedule for Gary would be to protect him from himself by giving him a mandated year off that would allow for exceptions if he wanted to come back early while still maintaining the needed r&r. The line to Kubiak inner circle is pretty transparent if you consider their behavior, decisions, actions and words over their career.
  12. I expected better questions from you bio. These are all inflammatory gotya type questions that are more about getting your opinion across than getting serious answers. Seriously, you are better than this.
  13. They are enamored by him cuz we had the #1-#5 defense thru out the year. Our secondary was much better than last years. Our biggest problem was our pass rush. Not so much the players but the way it was set up. We kept getting in each others way. Yes but pees' defense stats are like fantasy football QB stats, they are garbage. It means nothing except fantasy unless you win the games. Even the super bowl his defense gives up leads late.
  14. Not so sure about that. I would go with the same plan but run everything through Rick. 15. If they can bring in Gary and his crew this would be the Christmas miracle that we were all praying for. Ask yourself how many times in the last two years you have said to yourself, out loud or not, "I wish we still had Gary."
  16. Bringing in Gary and his crew would fix a few things: 1 Joe and his footwork 2 Run pass balance 3 TE useage and technique 4 play action 5 The O-line - fire Castillo by promotion just like they did when Gary was here before 6 running backs more successful Basically everything that went wrong would be fixed. Hell, they could even let him work himself back into things with a significant portion of time off to get well rested and let Rick cover during that period. Perfect fit
  17. The Ravens should absolutely call Gary, like as soon as the press release hit. He is stepping down, not retiring. There were also rumors he would need to fire assistants which he didn't want to do. He could come back and bring his crew to help rebuild that "something special" he said John was building here before he left for Denver. He was happy here and didn't have the stress of being the head coach. I think it's a perfect fit, and he can bring Wade Phillips with him, just import nearly the entire Denver system to Baltimore. Ideal match.
  18. Has anyone looked at the offensive line coach lately. Quarterbacks need protection and running backs need holes to run through. The offensive line has been porous, forget the injuries, other teams make do. We haven't had a good line for years. Maybe the blocking schemes need to be changed or the coach or both. Any comments. Yes. Every year Castillo has been in charge of the line, they have sucked. The one year he was fired by promoting him, the line was great. Yanda even skewered him by saying that his favorite thing about him was he was a grinder. Not that he was a good coach, but that he really keeps working. That is far from a compliment, it is a nice way to say that he sucks. Castillo is a big problem, huge problem and with direct evidence he is the direct and exact cause of the line and running game failures. He must be fired along with earwig.
  19. Bring in Gary, Dennison, the TE and Oline coach plus Wade Phillips and some of his assistants. Basically import Denver's entire system. Gary can stay healthy without the HC pressure and there is already familiarity and an entire system. The oline will be fixed, Joe will be fixed, the TE group will be fixed. Wade will take over the D and fix it. Plus we can stick it to Elway as a bonus.
  20. Correct. And take the franchise years to recover. I don't always agree with Harbs, and he definitely has weaknesses. But he's a darn good HC and leader. These fickle fans with their pitch forks don't look at the big picture. It's all reactionary and impulsive responses. Wrong sir its from results or lack their of 9 years 1 division title 1 super bowl this isn't Cleveland we expect better Glad you're not making the decisions.
  21. You are my kind of Fan. I agree 100% with what you said. We as fans don't know or see what happens everyday at practice and for us to try to tell Harbaugh how to coach or Ozzie how to draft is nutz. Cant wait for the next game and for the draft and for the next season. Its all good. I agree about 89% with you Sami, to steal a line from a legend. I think the one thing we can say is that Harbs should get himself an OC who can and will implement the game plan/strategy that he wants. I think he knows that and what is suited to Joe's strengths.
  22. Late lead against the raiders loss, late lead against the giants a loss. I still think
  23. Is it a "color rush" or is the black the Steelers alternate jersey? (like our black jersey) I would think if it was a true "color rush" game, then we'd be wearing our all purple "color rush" uniform we wore vs. the Browns. "real" color rush game. We are the road team so we have to wear all white. The steelers chose "All Black" for their color that most represents them. Which they kind of had to since all yellow would have looked terrible. It is our job to make sure they never want to wear all black again.
  24. Yes, and so did Brady when Weddle got him. Joe's was worse for sure, but it does happen.
  25. Well, that happens. As a teacher, I once had to cancel a class because about 15 minute sinto the class the exact same thing happened to me. Lasted for about 20 minutes. Oh ok. Yea I've had that happen too, his just seemed really weird. And he's been looking a little thin and aged lately. Could be the stress of the season and this team, and his job. Just observations I've been making. Or that he is going to have to fire like 5-7 friends from his Eagles days this offseason. If he is not savage enough to do that, I don't see him lasting much longer here. The closer to the top you are, the more savage you must be to keep and hold power.
