  1. I will fight for your right to have this opinion, but I think you are nuts, absolutley wonko about this. If fired, Harbs would instantly be hired by a good team needing a head coach for one of the if not the highest contract for a head coach in the league.
  2. I want to see Renner right now. "He's got a bit of that 'It factor'."- Marc Trestman, and like speed, you can't teach that 'It Factor'. Think Daniel Brown, he has that it factor too, he is showing it now. I wish Renner got the chance because that is what he needs, and he could back up Joe next year with 4 games experience and come cheap too. Maybe he would flame out, but he should have been given the chance.
  3. He also said something they play on SiriusXM constantly (and I love). "Stop the run. Get after the quarterback. - Heros Baby!"
  4. 1. Patriots playing right now like Ravens from get go, except that Brady is not nearly as good as Joe at the deep ball, and they are only down TE1, WR1, and RB1. Both lack outside deep threat speed. The exception is that Brady is doing worse with more talent than Joe did with less talent, except that no one criticizes that whiny Brady. 2. Melvin, I was worried that Belicheat was going to get good use out of him, but knew it was a signing to spite the Ravens because in his press conference he said they wanted him, but could have claimed him at anytime from Tampa before the Ravens last year. The animosity between that team and ours is worse than the Steelers. They are despicable top to bottom, and Bill was in full jerk mode in his press conference this week. I loved it, sports schadenfreude. He said there was not enough time to comment on his trying to drop kick an onside kick which led to them loosing the game. Arrogant, trying to get in the record books since no one has done that since footballs were changed from Rugby balls. They were looking past the Eagles. That or they threw the game to them because Bill is friends with that weasel Chip Kelley. 3. I hope we get Cary, just to keep him from the corner deficient Patriots. 4. The Pats tried fixing the game twice last Sunday with TV timeout maipulation. They showed Murdoch (president of FOX) in the box with Kraft and he put on a patriots rally hat at like 7 minutes left then they didn't take TV timeouts in-between the two Patriots comebacks (significantly less than 2 minutes between score and kickoff which is much less than if there is a TV timeout), both times to sustain momentum during the game. Kraft has total control of that when he controls the NFL TV contracts and has the TV network presidents sit in his owners box during the games so he can use them to command it when needed. This is the exact thing that happened during out playoff game with them last year. Blatant fixing and someone should do a study.
  5. Did the Pats really waive Melvin? If so it just proves Bellicheat signed him just to spite the Ravens.
  6. Purple Dawg 96 - where is your qb Controversy now? Now you must have a mobile qb? You would make a great politician with all your flip flopping.
  7. Guess Konnor Reuland was on a plane this afternoon...
  8. Who even knows when this happened. I'll give a guy in the NFL one of these, then it'sa big problem.
  9. Please get Bryn Renner back STAT!
  10. The point of going for it is playing the odds like professional gamblers. They know the exact odds at all times and thatddetermines success.
  11. Another thought I'd that Tomlin goes for it on two point conversions, likely due to necessity when they were running through kickers like tap water, but to his credit be found out they could get them with high efficiency and they now go for it all the time. That is something the Ravens should consider this off-season, adoption of an aggressive go for it 2 point conversion strategy. The odds tend to favor it. Plus it favors development of remarkable 2 yard make it plays which help on the field too. This is weird but I like Tomlin's strategy here.
  12. I'm a fan of the aggressive calling too. I'm not so sure about almost never punting but I think reduced punting would be a good idea. The onside kicking the majority of the time sounds very interesting too. If you could increase the statistics of recovery accompanied by different patterns of kicking them that might be really interesting.
  13. It took me a while to see it, but Buck looks like a young Fred Jackson type back. West has some explosiveness to him and some shiftyness, trying to place it. Hope both keep going and developing. They will be tested vs. Mr Oklahoma drill coach. The Dolphin's coach actually runs Oklahoma drills in practice and the team says they like games because they are a rest compared to practice.
  14. Brent is a real Urban legend.
  15. I just want to see the Patriots knocked out of the playoffs as soon as possible this year. Maybe the only thing good about getting flexed out of the Sunday night game (a big deal since I can't watch it in my house now) is that there will be more people rooting against them on the national stage.
  16. Still enjoying the sports schadenfreude. Johnathan Kraft was crying about the refs before the game too.
  17. The official team broadcaster for the Patriots (Scott Zolack) during the game accuses the league office of rigging the game by having the refs call it against the Patriots on air. And he doesn't get censured by the league or the team for that. Unreal.
  18. Good luck to these two. I'm not sure Brown will be active tonight, but Johnson better be...
  19. Come on, I'm trying to be both positive and realistic.... Lo!
  20. Sweet sweet schadenfreude listening to these Patriots radio people, crying about the officials, crying about injuries, crying about the snow saying the officials are too old and how tterrible it was and it's all the refs fault. I thought the refs did a pretty good job last night though I disagree witha couple calls. It's going to get worse for them with Brady literally screaming at the refs because he has to throw to backups.
  21. Very astute point. Without our "non-elite" qb, who "can't elevate everyone around him" (overlooking Brady being unable to elevate Aiken ), who "just throws jump balls", on his4th oOC in as many years, despite WR #1,2,3, 5, RB #1,#2,TE #1,2 being on IR ; Now our season is done and we can't win. Huh. They will never admit
  22. I made a comment last week that Joe was down TE #1 & 2,RB 1&2,WR 1,2,3,5 where Brady was only down WR #1, 2 and RB #1 with both having similar line issues, and he was looking like he was struggling. I wanted to see what he looked like without the people Joe lacked or even just without Gronk. Well as soon as he lost the best TE in the game, he looses the game. All the fans and radio people up here are complaining about the refs and how the injuries are killing them. Yeah right. I'll take a page out of Johnathan Kraft's book, the Patriots are sweethearts.
  23. I think the Ravens will win tonight and Schaub will look good. There is no film on him right now in non preseason games. After tonight though I don't have high hopes. I
  24. This should be everyone's attitude.
  25. We should all hope Matt does really well for us, we'll enough that some team picks him up to be their starter next year and offers him big money. Why? Top shelf comp pick.
