  1. If Wentz or Goff is available when Dallas picks they will take him. Otherwise they will take whoever they think will mess us up. Amazing how they always pick right before us.
  2. Bosa's lack of production his last year is troubling to me. I hope we trade back to upper mid first round and get Spence plus 2nd and 3rd round picks if Jack or Tunsil are gone. Use our acquired 3rd round pick to get Kolby Listenbee. I'll keep saying this until we do it. Otherwise we will be victimized by Listenbee because he won't make it past NE third round comp pick they got for Revis.
  3. Unless we get Jack or Tunsil (just watch his lateral movement drills - Michael Jackson smooth) (check @RosterWatch twitter) I hope we trade back and get Spence plus more 2&3 round picks to get Listenbee (he has legitimate Olympic speed and good hands).Spence drug use is done and he had the bravery to admit the problem including his reasons for doing it in the first place. They were not cliché and seem genuine. Plus it wasn't weed which seem to be a problem with recent players getting suspensions and not being able to set aside. If that is factored out, then I think he is better than Bosa.
  4. Maybe the NFL will put the game in Baltimore if the Ravens can beat the Bengals at home in the last game. The schedule makers inside joke. My point was that they have a TNF game (bad because of short week) but not SNF (preferable to TNF and MNF games because it is prime time but closest to normal prep and rest) and away MNF (have to travel with the short week instead of staying at home). The Patriots have 1 MNF game home vs the Ravens, and 2 SNF games. I'm not sad about the schedule at all, I would have liked to see AFCN games earlier and playing the Bengals when Burfict was gone (that gifted the Bengals 3rd game [no Burfict] to the steelers as a favor). I still like the schedule this year.
  5. Week 9 both the Ravens and Steelers are coming off bye weeks. Going to be an amazing, wonderful game. Maybe it will get flexed, still likely too early in the season though.
  6. Pitt gets Cincy when Burfict is suspended, we don't have a SNF only MNF game and our Thursday game is on NFL network, not CBS or NBC....
  7. I would like to see us trade back to about 16'ish and grab Spence and acquire more darts. Spence won't last past 18 when the Bills pick. Use a third round dart on Kolby Listenbee. Listenbee won't last past NE's third round comp pick they got for Revis, he won't make it to us in the fourth.
  8. Kolby Listenbee in the 3rd, he won't last past that. He ran that time with two groins that needed surgery that he had. He is a higher round talent than where he will go due to those injuries. You can't teach speed and you can't teach twitch. Cincinnati was all over TCU pro day, everyone was there including Dalton who had private throwing sessions with those guys....
  9. I hope they trade back to get more darts (picks) and take Spence mid first.
  10. I don't fault Torrey for taking the money, not one bit. You only have a short time to make money in the NFL, you need to maximize it. That money allows him to perform good works such as this.
  11. The metaphor from academia would be remediation. It could be mandatory for the first 2-3 years then optional. The Ravens should apply /appeal to the players union to run a pre-implementation test program for it financed entirely by Biscotti /Ravens Inc. which would show that he is willing to put his money where his mouth is. It should not cost very much either, even if he had to fly in his whole draft class each time. Heck he could likely get it partly financed by a social work school research program at UMB if he wanted to. I would love that project if I were a grad student.
  12. Also the anniversary of the 2am theft of the Colts and evasion of the MD state police.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, Ramsey has very few interceptions, I'm not sure why we would want to import him if that is the case. I just don't see him as an advantage for us.
  14. Also need to consider where we selected those players. Historically, the later you pick, the less likely the player is to pan out. Steelers are great at drafting receivers...not so great all the time at other positions. Their secondary is arguably weaker than ours and hasn't been good for years. They've drafted nine defensive backs in the last five years and I'd argue not one of them could start for this team right now. Tomlin was a WR coach, knows what to look for and personally goes to scouting sessions and runs the drills himself. Look at what he does he knows what fits into his team. If you want to improve drafting WR study what Tomlin does. This year or best chance is going after Kolby Listenbee in the fourth round. Yes we are picking high but he won't last. And he might be taken by NE with one of their 3rd round comp picks. KL is Raven tough and has unteachable speed.
  15. Comp pick, comp pick, comp pick!
  16. Upshaw is puzzling. Just think about it: - he was our top pick at that draft; - he had great vets to learn from, throughout his rookie contract; - he has no known injuzry issues and tendencies: he was healthy throughout his rookie contract; - he has no off-the-field and presonal issues; - ha had his chance to prove himself. - he has an absolutely thin market Still, Ozzie doesn't seem to be in any kind of hast to re-sign him. What can be the reason? What else than him not delivering the kind of performance he was expected to? He has been a favorite of Harbs and Pees, and i just think they want to see if he can fetch the kind of contract he wants...IMO, he would be vital in keeping Doom and Suggs fresh on passing downs... There is an NFL cold war between the Ravens and Patriots. I think it is collusion orchestrated by Kraft trying to eliminate the Ravens getting a high comp pick for KO (though they are supposedly in the mix for Upshaw). Think about it, I'm sure that their influence on the competition committee got the eliminating the chop block pushed through since both their top two rivals, Ravens and Denver, both use the zone stretch running scheme and the rule-move was intended to inhibit both teams.
  17. Anyone notice that the ESPN Steelers blog/article "steelers-unmatched-coaching-longevity-the-envy-of-nfl-peers" had to include the Exception of the Ravens? The Ravens have also won multiple super bowls and have had only three coaches (unless you count Belicheck's couple of days stint) since they started. Yes it is 16 less years in existence, but it is still top notch stability.
  18. I think that Listenbee would be a great backup to Perriman and Wallace and ideally would replace Wallace when he got too expensive in 2 years. He is also reportedly a high character guy.
  19. I am praying for Tray's family. I want to know who that unnamed Patriot player is and why they need to track him down. This is horrible and big news, whoever that guy is should come foreword. The longer it takes the more suspicion is cast on him. Hopefully it is nothing.
  20. What do you all think of the chances we pick up Kolby Listenbee in the draft? He is a legitimate speed threat more than just a track star. Eagles, Patriots and one other team have scheduled private visits with him at the TCU pro day. He could be either this year's Diggs or Torrey Smith. I would despise it if the Patriots got him.
  21. We need a back up speed threat and his name is Kolby Listenbee.
  22. My first thought yesterday on Watson was we are going to loose our high comp pick for KO by signing him, my next thought was they are freaking out about TE, followed by Pitta is Done (sorry guy, you are a (expletive deleted) of a good player), then serious concern about Gillmore's health. Weird that it really was comp picks for us. Maybe we weren't worried about TE fit because if anyone should know TE play it is Ozzie...
  23. well the decent UFA are gone by then, thats why we always end up with Arrington, K.lewis and etc. We should be aggresive this year for a change That's cherry picking. We also got Vonta Leach, Pollard, Jacoby, McKinnie, Corey Graham, Dumervil, Steve Smith, Justin Forsett and Owen Daniels late - which we may not have been able to do if Ozzie was active in the first wave of free agency. So, we have good examples and bad ones alike. nail on head. Steve Smith was a cut, not an UFA
  24. @ Ravensbaltimore Watson is healthy Daniels is not (knees)
  25. The Ravens should be looking at Kolby Listenbee (TCU) as the backup speed plan. Not a good draft for speed threats that are not just track stars. Would fall where lightning in a bottle Diggs feel let year. Scream that name at Ozzie if you get the chance.
