  1. Once I looked at it, I had a gut feeling it'd be called back because he didn't exactly maintain that ball 100% on the way down. Then I remembered Coleman's tippy toe touchdown (alliteration) from week 2 where he was on the chalk. And that was upheld. And then I came to the conclusion that I don't wanna hear anything about Perriman's touchdown. That was huge for that kid, and also the team.
  2. I've got one for you. Tony will be in for our Cowboys matchup, and he will throw at the least 2 picks at home. Talk about a bold prediction. Feel free to hold me to this one. And if I am absolutely wrong, I will have no problems admitting it.
  3. And this is why Flacco, Suggs, and SS need to be kept on the bench. Sam Bradford, in his final season with the Rams (and they actually looked like they'd do damage with a healthy Bradford) was injured in a preseason game. Vs. The Browns nonetheless. Talk about demoralizing. Keep them on the bench. Flacco's knee isn't even 100% in his own words. That's a terrible message to send to defenders around the league..
  4. If you're speaking of pulling out our players when we're on the right side of a blowout, it only makes sense. Protect the investment, if nothing else. If we are on the wrong side of a blowout, still yes, pull the starters out. Protect the investment. Give backups seemingly meaningless playing time. Though, to my relief, the Ravens have only been blown out a whooping 4 times in the last two seasons, 2 in 2014 (Pittsburgh, Houston), 2 in 2015, albeit back to back (Seattle and Kansas City [at home]). Dating back to 2013, I only remember getting blown out by the Patriots and Bengals back to back. If I'm wrong on those being the only two blowouts that season, please let me know. This year, we had the chance, starting 2-6 , to finish 8-0 and possibly in the playoffs, I wholeheartedly believed. We couldve even accomplished the feat with a 9-7 record possibly, but due to overcrowding in the AFC, this was highly unlikely. When we lost to the Jags, I was saying pull the starters from the rest of the season. Protect the investment. What happens? We lose our #1 WR, RB, and QB in back to back consecutive weeks. The injury to T. Sizzle wasn't preventable, unfortunately, but the rest were. Why they deemed it necessary to replace turf with grass made no sense to me. With the way injuries has been affecting us in these past few seasons, someone in the strength and conditioning department has needed to receive a pink slip. More likely than not, it was due to a combination of that and a workout schedule that possibly could've overexerted our guys. By pulling them after Jacksonville last year but still competing and hopefully winning against the rest of the teams on our schedule, the backups we did play possibly could've been ushered out on the trade block, so we could obtain necessities, whether that was actual veteran players or more draft picks, since we follow the "right player, right price" mantra. How we missed out on Stefon Diggs, a homegrown talent, to obtain a guy with questionable hands to begin with and knee problems due to genetics is baffling. Stefon, a rookie, beat out Mike Wallace, a veteran, in terms of running the go route. We signed Mike Wallace. So much money could've been saved... Point in that statement is we don't employ enough homegrown talent, but that is a story for another day. In conclusion, pull the starters.
  5. Only because of the question marks in our secondary, but mainly how they'll match up against Cinci's WRs (AJ Green specifically). And you won't find a team Flacco throws more picks to than the Cats. That's statistically proven. We unnecessarily gave up in the final match up in 2013, 2014's sweeping was a fluke from a boogus P. I. call on what would've been the game winning touchdown. I thought we could've at least beat them at home last year. So, until I'm proven wrong, I see no scenario where we're able to beat them, except the playoffs.
  6. Optimistic Perspective: VS BUF: W- It's vs. Rex at home. This one shouldn't be close, given their defensive injuries @CLE: W- Ugly win. Think vs. DET in 2013 Expect Justin Tucker to be the game's MVP. All points come through his leg, and he nails the game winner. @JAX: L- Remember 2011? VS OAK: W- Raiders don't do well with East Coast games. And it's home. Derek Carr is not beating us at home. VS WAS: W- It's home. Not even a close one. Smith v. Norman is the matchup of the game. @NYG: W- Ben McAdoo as a head coach hasn't convinced me that this team will be any type of dominate force, regardless of their offensive weapons. He's just an offensive coordinator who lucked into a head coaching job. Just like Tampa's new coach. Given Eli's history against us, we should take this one. Close game though. Eli- 2 tds, 3 picks @NYJ: W- I like Fitz but he throws more Picks than tds in this one VS PIT: W- We are not losing to Pittsburgh at home VS CLE: W- Cleveland is not beating us at home 2 years in a row. @DAL: W- Romo most likely isn't playing this far into the season. Even if he is by some miracle, holes in the defense still tell me this is a win for us. VS CIN: L- We cannot beat Cinci. VS MIA: W- Finally the sunny boys come to cold Baltimore. This one won't even be close. @NE: L- Joe always brings it vs. New England, minus the 2013 game (in his defense, he was coming off a left knee injury after a dirty hit in Detroit) but we will not be beating them in New England. At least in the regular season.. Game is decided by 3 points. VS PHI: W- Their front 7 keeps our offense in check, but their sputtering offense loses them the game. @PIT: L- No way we sweep them two years in a row. @CIN: L- Still can't beat Cinci. 11-5 optimistically Pessimistic Perspective: VS BUF: L- Tyrod has a chip on his shoulder for how his tenure in Baltimore ended. That chip is administered by Rex, who has his own chip on his shoulder because of how his tenure ended in Baltimore in 2007. Flacco threw 5 picks against this defense. Rex and Rob are out to do their father justice this season. We haven't won a home opener since 2012 @CLE: L- They should've swept us last year. That's sad. Hue coached Flacco 09 & 2010. He should have some insider's knowledge into his tendencies, as if gametape isn't enough. Hue also made Andy Dalton into the beast he is today. @JAX: L- I'm buying into the hype. And I'm not forgetting 2011. Blake and the Allen bros are years older in the league and the defensive pieces are finally coming together for Gus Bradley VS OAK: L- Kelechi Osemele.. VS WAS: L- Remember it was Kirk Cousins who won the game for Washington in 2012 after we knocked Bob out the game @NYG: L- Their offense wears out our defense and we can't keep up @NYJ: L- Their defense.. VS PIT: W- They will not beat us at home, no matter what VS CLE: W- Pessimism tells me the Browns sweep us this year but I can't see them beating us at home @DAL: W- Romo is on IR at this point VS CIN: L- We're not beating the cats, no matter what VS MIA: W- Miami is not beating us in Baltimore. @NE: L- Not even close VS PHI: W- I'm highly convinced Philly can upset us in Philly, but I don't see any one of their 3 QBs beating us, no matter how many games we've lost up to this point. @PIT: L- Mike Wallace... And realistically, because of Mike Wallace, they probably sweep us this year. @CIN: L- Still not beating Cinci.. 5-11 pessimistically. Last year convinced me to lean toward this perspective. 3-13 I'd you count me saying Pittsburgh and Cleveland sweep us Realistically: VS BUF: W- Rex could pull an upset potentially, due to the chip on his shoulder, as well as the chip on Tyrod's shoulder. Rex and Rob's father did pass in the off season, so they should be driven to do him justice. And Flacco did throw 5 picks against this defense in 2013. But that was in Buffalo. The home opener losses stop here. @CLE: L- Should've swept us last year. Bob is out for revenge after us taking him out in 2012. And Washington still won that game. @JAX: L- 2011.. And Blake Bortles. The Allen bros. And Gus Bradley's defense. And we don't do well in Jacksonville VS OAK: W- Carr still isn't beating us at home. VS WAS: W- They aren't beating us at home. @NYG: L- Giants probably win here. Due to OBJ and strictly OBJ. @NYJ: L- Fitz throws some picks but their defense locks us down. VS PIT: W- They aren't beating us at home. VS CLE: W- They aren't beating us at home two years in a row. @DAL: W- Romo is still on IR at this point in the season VS CIN: L- We aren't beating them. VS MIA: W- They aren't beating us at home @NE: L- We aren't beating them in the regular season. VS PHI: W- They aren't built to win. @PIT: L- Not sweeping them two years in a row. @CIN: L- We're already knocked out of contention at this point. And we still can't beat the Cats. Expect a 7-9 or 8-8 season. 9-7 and 10-6 are ceilings for this team. Still not enough to necessarily dictate a wild card spot at least, since the AFC will be crowded this year. We aren't taking the division. 11-5 and 12-4 are optimistic ceilings. 5-11 is a cellar. 3-13 is a pessimistic cellar. All I gotta say is I hope they prove me wrong.
  7. Playing Washington at home isn't a good tell tale sign. I had a dream we lost 24-27 away week 1 then 27-0 at home against Washington. That's deja vu.
  8. Well my plan won't work because they waived Renner. Thanks.
  9. As strange as it sounds, 3 games left this season- Chiefs, Steelers, then Bengals. I'd start Mallet this week, then have Clausen and Renner start the remaining two games. The theory behind this is let's assume Mallet plays poorly this year. Obviously doesn't deserve a second start, especially because of that **** he pulled in Houston. I start Clausen and Renner since they seem like more viable contenders for the backup position for next year. Why not have em play against division rivals? The key to success within the league, in terms of getting to the post season to contend for a bowl is can you win division games or not? Cleveland beat Pittsburgh and Cinci IN CINCI last year and us this year at home. The reason the Titans aren't in the race for their division is because their division record is poor. They had a chance to beat the Colts this year at home and choked. Bucs and Falcons are in the hunt for the NFC Wild Card. Lets say they both win out. The Bucs would make it, as the Falcons have an 0-4 division record. THEY CAN'T WIN A GAME IN THE DIVISION. Yet, the Bucs have with a rookie at the helm, and I'm not taking anything away from him. I love the kid and I'd much rather take him than our options right now. Would've been the perfect move too... Start Renner at home, start Clausen on the road against a formidable defense similar to the Hawks, of whom he hasn't had any success against.
  10. In the case in which we don't get the top draft pick and Bosa goes off the board, I'd support a Christian Hackenburg pick. Dude reminds me of Flacco. Could be his heir even, depending on where Houston ends up in the draft and if O'Brien is still there next year. Of course, since Bryn Renner is on the FA market, we could resign him for a few years. I like what I've seen from him. Dude has a winning spirit.
  11. It's not. First thing that came to mind with all the injuries we've had this year was the strength and conditioning process.
  12. I have to say, yesterday night's game of the Packers vs. Broncos had me thinking how better Joe was as compared to Rodgers against their D. First of all, Rodgers was held to 77 yards, which no defense was ever able to hold him to. The most yards he had been held to was 140. Flaccos yardage, can't remember it off the top of my head, but it was certainly in the 100s, greater than 77, that's for damn sure. Before anyone may argue that it was only that close because of the pressure we brought to Peyton, remember, GB has Clay Matthews. Excluding that one blocked run, the Bronco's o line stepped up big time. And think of Rodger's WR situation. Certainly better than ours. We played a better game vs. The Broncos in Denver than Green Bay did. With way less offensively. Hope that makes someone in here feel a bit better...
  13. I was what you call a late bloomer. I'm 18 years of age currently. Graduated from high school in 2014. 2010, the year we went 11-5 but lost in the divisional round to the eventual AFC representatives in the superbowl the Pittsburgh Steelers. Paid little attention in middle school to football. That was about 2007-2009 or 2008-2010 give or take. I bought a Ray Rice jersey from Walmart, didn't have alot of money on my own at the time, wore it the first day of high school. I wore that jersey alot. I was always interested in football but never was truly because I didn't understand it. So the day I filled out my schedule for freshman year, they told me tryouts for our team were the next day. But I didn't attend because I was not in shape, had no muscle whatsoever. Never got a chance to go out for it until the summer before Junior year because when I planned to train for the summer after freshman year, I had to attend summer school, which meant I couldn't be at workouts at the school. I was learning about football as I was training for it and fell in love with it. Quite coincidently, we won the Superbowl that year. And me myself, I've always been a regional man. If you aren't from (first) Maryland, or even the DMV area, as a team, I can't support you. Ravens diehard, Orioles fan (despite not fully understanding baseball just like I didn't at first with football), and Wizards fan (same problem as baseball year) but regardless of whatever, I go all out for the Ravens hands down. I knew these times would eventually come. If I wanted to win all the time I'd be a bandwagoner and just like every team that wins the Superbowl every year. But **** that, I bleed purple and black.
  14. Alright guys. Time to turn the game off.
  15. But look at the facts, the season is over. If we're 6-0, 5-1, 4-2, 3-3, or even 2-3, we have a chance. Not at 1-5. There is no such thing as an 11 game winning streak. These aren't the 2000 Ravens. Losing to the Raiders was questionable. Losing to the Bengals didn't help. Losing to the Browns salvaged all hope completely. Steve Smith deserves better. You know it and I know it.
