Dean Pees man Dean Pees. They need to get rid of him. While he's here the defense will continue this way throughout the season especially the secondary. Keep leaving corners off the receivers. They need to hire Leslie Frazier as our DC.
our defense has consistently looked lost under Pees.
man... its time Harbs comes down on our DC.... Pees sucks and has since he has been here. He is destroying a very good defense and Harbs needs to stop making excuses for him!
I think arrington is gone. I think that arthur Brown makes the team. I think that Butler is gone. I think SSS, Wallace and Aiken are locks - Perriman will start on the PUP list but Butler is not a PR / KR guy and we need help there. I think Campanaro and Reynolds have a better shot bc of return abilities. Plus the addition of Pitta (4 TEs) will make it hard to justify keeping an extra WR. I think Elam is a shoe in and if there is a S in danger of being cut... it would be KLEWIS... dont think he played well last year and has been inconsistent at best this preseason. Elam and Brooks look way better. Finally Reynolds- he may be cut and sent to PS.... I think that is a real possibility but I still think there is an outside chance that he makes it. (We need him to come around as a return guy- and we really dont want to use Camp there BC he is too fragile)!
we are a team based on balance. The more balance we have the harder we are to stop. The good news is that this year we should have the talent to be balanced and stay balanced. Defenses can pick their poison. They take away the run and we have a ton of weapons in the passing game. Sit back on the pass and we should be able to run it down your throat. You want to blitz us... we will have plenty of talented and versatile backs who can kill you with the screen and draws. Sit two deep and our TEs will split the seams on you all day long. Short yardage and we should be able to throw two TE sets like few other teams in football can. I like the personal grouping headed into this season.

1. I still hate the Dean Pees bend but don't break defensive philosophy. Its just not Ravens football and we are too talented to play passive most of the game!
2. The competition at RB is better than I imagined it would be. West looked really good and Dixon may end up being our starter for some time to come.
3. Our DBackfield still looked lost at times.... hope that is just first game stuff but IDK this has been the pattern under Pees. Next game 2 or 3 games may tell us a lot about what we should expect from our DB this year.
4. Our TEs are really good (Boyle and Waller can play ball and Daniel Brown can play in this league)
5. Cant wait to see us with a full compliment of players (Suggs, Doom, SSS, Joe,Forsett, Perriman) those are some huge additions that will win games for us. Cant wait!
he has to stay healthy- that's what stands between him and the top spot
there will be another veteran T out there who can play better then Hurst and still be healthy enough to be relied upon!
wait...WHAT? That is a great signing.
1. It takes pressure off of Stanley to continue to progress at his own pace
2. It gives us a ton of options. With Stanley possibly playing inside at G or even Long playing in place of Wagner (if Wags is not healthy) or just as a legit back up to both.
3. With Vlad Ducasse and Long as back ups...we are legit two deep all over the OL
4. This is a contract year for Wags... takes pressure off of the organization and places it on Ricky
5. With young OT (Stanley and Alex Lewis)... it is great to have a veteran / pro bowler like Long to help groom them.
Great move from Ozzie and company! Love it!If Vlad and Jake make the team that means two other lineman are not going to make it. How many lineman do you keep on the 53 man roster?
1) LT: Stanley
2) LG: Urschel
3) C: Zuttah
4) RG: Yanda
5) RT: Wagner
6) Swing Tackle: Long
7) Combo G/C: Ducasse
8) G: Jensen
I can't see them keeping more than 8 linemen. If Lewis proves to be the monster in pre season games as he has been in camp people will notice and it will be tough to stash him on the PS then.Lewis is one of the 4th rounders, he's not going any where
1. Stanley
2. Urschel
3. Zuttah
4. Yanda
5. Jake Long
6. Wagner
7. Ducasse
8. A. Lewis
THat leaves Jensen on the outside looking in. Ducasse is bigger and stronger and looks more like our type of mauler. Plus Trestman is comfortable with him. Urschel will play both G and C if needed over Jensen and that leaves Jensen out. I think we keep Long and Ducasse (especially with this being a contract year with Wagner)!
Perriman @4.26 and Wallace @ 4.33 give us a ton of speed. Add in C Moore and guys like Reynolds / Camp with a ton of quickness and all of a sudden we are looking like a dangerous and diverse offense who can create separation. (the savvy of a veteran like SSS and the size of our TEs) the diversity of our RBs and the wild card and consistency of a Kamar and Joe has to be feeling pretty good going into this season!
The RB situation will be the most fun to watch. Dixion is coming in with a lot of hype. We know Forsett can be a pro bowler but he is aging. Trent Richardson is talented and motivated to make the most of his last chance. Talifero is a quality RB and can play in this league. Buck Allen played well last season and should be better and TWest is supposed to be in phenomenal shape and looking to take advantage of what may also be his last opportunity in the NFL. This should be a fun battle to watch / curious to see how it plays out!
One of the most interesting battles not being talked about will be Timmy Jernigan / Carl Davis / and Henry! Davis showed a lot of skill and promise last season before hitting the rookie wall!
Finally... I really expect Urban (or maybe even Kafusi) to start over LGuy... Not that LGuy is not solid and a quality starter.... I just really like what I saw from Urban in limited time last season... (and the expectations are even higher for Kafusi)!
I also would not be surprised if Will Davis ends up starting over Sharece Wright. Maybe not right away (it may take some time to fully recover from that ACL injury) but by game 5-6 I wouldnt be surprised if Davis ends up being our most consistent CB!
arthur brown will start beside CJ. This may surprise most but we have been hiding him for a few years now. We knew we would lose him if we allowed him to be showcased last season.... We know Dsmith was on borrowed time... this is what we drafted him for and many will be surprised at his "GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT" over one season. LOL Keep your eyes on Arthur Brown... many are going to be surprised this year!
Any team would be foolish not to sign RR at this point. It would cost them whatever they wanted to pay... it would be a general donation to a charity of DV and great PR even overcoming the stigma that RR had been subject to. If RR can still play then they win and if not it was worth every penny in PR.
i just hope a team like the Patriots do not sign him.
Wagner - Yanda - Zuttah - Urschel- Stanley
Lewis - Jensen - Ducasse- Hurst (maybe)
with Nembot headed to PS
i expect 10 wins -seriously. We lost 8 or 9 games last year by a TD or less. Our Defense should clearly be improved (as long as Pees dont mess it up). Leslie Frasier will prove to be the most valuable addition of the off season. We get Sizzle back and the addition of Correa and Kafusi should mean additional pressure. The development of Zsmith will also help (i can say the same about Timmy J and Carl Davis). Mosley will be healthy and better... The addition of Weddle is giant and the DB looks light years better.
Then there is the offense. Ben Watson is a nice addition. The development of Maxx and Gilmore should also be noticable. The addition of Perriman, CMoore and Mike Wallace will take a lot of pressure off of SSS (and he returns). Our run game will be better bc that is Trestmens MO and the OL is solid.
Finally...I think our schedule is favorable....and I believe that this is the most depth that we have had since we won the super bowl. 2016 looks very different then 2015 in the talent skill and depth of our roster.... we dont seem to have the holes that we knew we had going into last year. Yes some unknowns but little to no holes.
I think 10-11 wins are very realistic for us this season!
that may actually help us to have time to better understand exactly what our TE situation is before we need to make a decision on him. IDK if that is all bad TBH
Arthur Brown will surprise people this year... the Ravens were shelving him to get the full use out of Dsmith... and allow him to develop fully- He will begood
Nice story. Just cut'em and draft a sarety
if we cut everyone who played bad under pees...we wouldnt have a defense!
In my opinion, a high ceiling player. There has been a disconnect between our secondary and the coaches for several years. Ed Reed and Graham were the last players to excel in our secondary. It has been a carousel of players in that secondary for years. It can't all be the players' fault. If you agree that Ozzie is a great talent evaluator, you have to somehow entertain the thought that some thing might not be right with either the scheme or the coaching or both.
That's why I am optimistic with Frazier's hire. I think Brooks is a vicious hitter. He plays fast and physical. I would like for him to flourish.
JamesA119... agreed 100%
i really think kendrick will be cut-brooks and elam seem to have more years left and a higher ceiling
Love that this man is a Raven! The NFL needs more men like him! a God fearing man willing to give back
I think the real camp battle in on the DL and OL- Does Monroe stay and if so... does that move Stanley to G or is Monroe simply a back up??? If Stanley moves to G what does that mean for Urschel and Jensen (Urschel is ready to start). If Monroe is gone... Does Alex Lewis compete for G or does his presence mean that Hurst is gone? Can Zuttah return healthy or will Jensen take his spot. Will Wagner finally be healthy or will Stanley or Alex Lewis play there?
DL... Who starts LGuy or Kafusi? Guy was very solid and a pleasant surprise last year. Kafusi has the talent and is the high draft pick.. the future. Who steps up Carl Davis (who showed a ton of promise last year) or Willie Henry? Can Urban stay healthy enough to fullfill his potential? Can KLM stay healthy enough to live up to his? Will Timmy Jernigan take the next step to become an NFL probowler? Can Brandon Williams become the best interior DL in the NFL? (do we work out a contract extension or new contract with him)
OL and DL may not have the numbers that that S, RB, WR and TE have but i think the real camp battle will be in the trenches this season!

Man.... glad Dixon is okay!
