Get rid of Pees and Juan Castillo and see where we end up at the end of the year
I agree though... Joe needs to start playing or start giving some of that money back!
On the bright side... the Steelers lost, so IF the Ravens can right the ship after the bye then there is hope :) GO RAVENS! CB 25
We are lucky to have the perfect Captain steering the ship in John Harbaugh. We just need patience!
He can only do so much with what's been provided him. Even the great ones have to have the horses and the FO has failed to deliver in that dept.
agreed. time to point the finger at the front office
The FO didn't make him throw off his back foot, overthrow guys, or trip over his own feet. Joe has regressed in his mechanics and decision-making since Kubiak left. You can say he doesn't have all-pro players around him at every position, but no QB does. The only legitimate excuse I can think of is the offensive scheme and coaching, both of which ultimately fall on Harbs.
maybe so, but how many first billet (not alt's when someone was a no show) pro-bowlers have been drafted by the Ravens the last decade? I bet you can count them on one hand. There is a depravity of young talent on the team and that's squarely on the front office. Harbaugh may have a little say, but it's mostly Newsome and the scouting team. There needs to be a house cleaning, if Harbaugh goes at the end of the year, there should be a complete house cleaning, which includes 75% of the players including every player over 30 that Baltimore isn't forced to keep due to contract restrictions and most of the front office..
Over the last seven to eight drafts there are a few players who are truly more than just roster fillers. Yanda, CJ Mosely, Branden Williams(maybe) Ronnie Stanley(Maybe) and KO who took Oakland's money(which all players should).
Breshad Perriman is our #1 WR pick and is looking like Mark Clayton, and KC, the over hyped #2 pick is our new Arthur Brown.
Urban, Waller, Jernnigan, ALL of our RB's, O Line, ALL ROSTER FILLERS.jernigan is not just a roster filler
Not really an impact player either. Plenty of guys like him fill rosters in the NFL.
why is this the worst OL in the league?
we have a the best G in the NFL in Yanda- Wagner looked like a potential pro bowler under Kubiack. Stanley is an elite first rounder. Zuttah played great under Kubiack. Urschel looked great last year. Jensen looked great in spots last year. Alex Lewis is supposed to be the real deal. Ducasse played very well last year. ( I know there is injuries but we have some healthy players also who we are watching regress)- WHY?
A few years ago AQ Shipley was the blame for everything wrong on our OL- now he is the starting Center for the Arizona Cardinals (the # 1 run offense in the NFL) and he is playing very well. What was the cause of the turn around for AQ....someone explain how he got so much better so fast? WHY?
Geno Gradowski is playing a back up role with the Carolina Panthers and filled in recently looking pretty good. Why?
Michael Oher... still playing fairly well as a starter in this league. He played 98.8% of the Carolina Panthers snaps last year and he allowed a career low four sacks and was penalized only 3 x for 25 yards last season. And he started on the blind side. He was the most penalized OL in the league with us and played average at best with on on the opposite side... Why?
Heck even Robert Myers who we drafted as a G...sucked for us. He was cut very early and then next year.... Kubiack left and brought both Myers and Geno out to Denver. Myers is still in the league with the Seahawks. Yes he is still on the their practice squad but the Seahawks said he is raw but has a lot of potential ... we didnt seem to see that -WHY?
Jah Reid... a bust of a draft pack for the Ravens... a starting T for the Chiefs (one of the best OLs in the game). He could never get on the field for us- WHY?
Ramon Harewood was another player that Kubiack thought enough of to take with him to Denver-
Vlad Ducasse played well in Chicago.... cant cut it in Baltimore... why?
I said it before with our DBs.... we have DBs who suck here and go other places and play great. WE have DBs come here an player at a much lower level... then here (I think Leslie Frazier is changing that here) but...that has been an issue here for sure.
Our OL is consistently under performing and we have talent. WHY?
On the bright side... the Steelers lost, so IF the Ravens can right the ship after the bye then there is hope :) GO RAVENS! CB 25

dis-agreed. Timmy has shown ability and played at a high level this year. He has a high ceiling and seems to be just coming into his comfort zone as a NFL player. Jernigan can be a pro bowl player!
Our defense couldn't close out a high school team and no lead is safe since Pees came to town. Our team is soft and no longer the once feared Ravens! I have no clue what our team identity is at this point and we are more injury prone then i can recall seeing an NFL team being maybe ever!
Our OL has had one good year since Juan Castillo came here and that was under Kickbacks system. Problem is that Kubiack is long gone and Juan is being exposed. John is too loyal to his friends and the front office needs to force his hand to replace some of these coaches who are not cutting it!
Where is the accountability?
On the bright side... the Steelers lost, so IF the Ravens can right the ship after the bye then there is hope :) GO RAVENS! CB 25

5 thoughts:
1. We are not very good right now! Good teams dont beat themselves with penalties - turnovers and dumb mistakes! We keep, repeatedly doing all three, over and over and that falls on Harbs and Harbs alone! We cannot beat out selves
2. Dean Pees is clueless. We have not been aggressive on that side of the ball since he arrived in BMORE and as a result... we blew another double digit lead. Many will say the defense kept us in it (and I accredit it to the Jets poor offense) but since Pees got here we have never been able to close a team out... we have never been a team able to win with defense- i watched the Cards v Seahawks game tonight and remembered when our defense looked fast, aggressive and nasty- but that was a long time ago! (since before Dean Pees)!
3. I am beginning to think that Jaun Castillo is clueless. Kubiacks system made Juan look good but our OL sucked before Kubs and since he left our OL has sucked. Penalties, poor play, etc they is what defines our unit and even with a make shift line we should be better. Urschel and Jensen have a ton of experience and Zuttah and Wagner has played at high levels. Ronnie Stanley is solid but we cannot seem to get anything out of OL... I know all of the injury excuses but we are supposed to be very deep in the OL... it has been anything but and I have to wonder what is going on bc they havent played well as a unit since Kubiack left
4. Why are we consistently more injured then nearly every other team in the NFL... it is not bad luck at this point. It is not coincidence at this point. IDK if players need to be held accountable, IDK if practice habits needs to be changed or if our Strength and Conditioning Coaches need to go? But something is seriously wrong here.
5. With all of the negative and I admit it is a lot. If we beat Pittsburgh coming off of the bye week we are sitting in 1st place in the division. We need to get better and get better quick but "IF" we can coaches guys up and make the necessary adjustments... this season is still not over. Our destiny is still in our own hands and not a lot of teams can say that 7 games into the season!
who cares... i just want him to play football at a high level... all the math stuff is great but he is here to play football all of the variables in the world dont make me feel better about his not taking the next step. He was projected to be the starter at G and now we cant even get him on the field.
2016 Stanley, Kameli Corea, Kafusi, Chris Moore, W Henry, K Dixon, Judon, Reynolds, Cannaday.. I am worried about our draft class (we have Stanley and A Lewis and even Tavon playing but need to take the next step).
2015 Periman, Maxx, Carl Davis, Nick Boyle Darren Waller,Buck, Z Smith and Robert Myers)... we have some contribution but it is looking like a bust right now. Perriman and Z and hoepfully Waller can step up and take the next step but right now it is looking bad
2014 CJ, Jernigan, Crocket, Urban, Urschel all contributing and at least a couple of them are playing at a high level....would love to see Urban and Urschel (even Campanaro) take the next step
2013 Elam, Arthur Borwn, Brandon Williams, John Simon, Juice , Wagner, KLM, Jensen, Mallette, andMarc Anthony. Elam and Arthur brown looks like busts... Brandon Williams was a steal in round three- Simon looks great in Houston, Wagner was a steal as a 5th rounder, and Jensen has at least been a quality back up
Over the past 5 years we have landed 4 Quality starters- Wagner, Brandon Williams, CJ, Timmy, and Ronnie Stanley
a handful of role players Juice, Crocket,Henry, Urban, Alex lewis, Tavon and Urschel
and some quality back ups
Maxx, Dixon, Carl Davis, Jensen etc.
IDK we really seemed to miss on 2 of the last 4 draft classes. Hope some of these guys step up and prove us wrong but so far.... it is not looking good!
What is up with all of the injuries again. When we continue to lead the league in missed games due to injuries year after year.... it is not bad luck any more. It is not coincidence anymore. It is not the turf (bc we changed that) - maybe it is time that we admit that it is our strength and conditioning and something needs to change. We are the RAVENS- when did we become the most fragile team in the NFL?
Webb looked horrible last game.... and what was he doing on that final catch by Beckham...SMH... We have to have another S better then Webb / and that pains me to say that bc I like Webby but he has been horrid and hurt us!
Fitzpatrick sucks - if we cant get to him we may as well start cutting people and start re-building.
Just finished watch Jets get destroyed by Arizona. If we lose to them we should just forfeit the balance of our games. Mr. Peas I hope you watch the film and
follow Arizona's lead. Big rush on every down. We probably will not do that
because we are always trying to fool our opponents instead of doing what works. That means we will not blitz and Fitzpatrick will probably throw for a
ton of yardage. Oops I guess we did not fool them.what happened to our pass rush?, its been missing since week 3
pees happened to the pass rush. hope we bring back pagano when he gets fired within the next few weeks or allow frazier to put in some input with blitz schemes.
I am with you.... Pees play defense scared. There is no aggression in his style of defense. No forcefulness...I am so sick of the bend but dont break approach (that always breaks in the 4th quarter)...
We drafted with an emphasis on improving the pass rush and we have none. We now have our only pass rush injured (Suggs) with no timetable on Dum.
IDK but the Passive Pees approach is sickening and the defense is completely untrustworthy with the game on the line!
I want Pagano back also!
wow.... i am seeing a lot of negativity.... i get frustration but reality is that we are 1 game behind Pittsburgh. We will get healthier. They now need to play the Patriots without Big Jen. if we win this week and they lose (good chance of that) we are tied for 1st place and that is with a QB who is coming off of a knee surgery, a change at OC, a 38 year old WR coming off of an Achilles, and starting two rookie OL.
We went 3-1 in the first quarter of the season.... we are currently 0-2 in the second quarter. If we can go 2-2 in this quarter and 2-2 in the remaining two that leaves us at 9-7 and a chance to get in.
If we start to gel and come together a little... we should be able to win 10 games. We still control our own destiny..... we haven't been blown out of any game like Pittsburgh was with Philly. We haven't gotten physically manhandled and had the balll ran down our throats like Pittsburgh did vs the Dolphins. We dont have 4 loses already like the Bengals. We are not the browns. There is still a lot to build on.
If Harbs can get Pees out of the bend but dont break mentality... and we can gel under Marty.... WE still have a legitimate run at this. (Every loss we have had this year has been by 1 drive or heck even 1 play) we need to stop beating ourselves and grow up as a team and we will be fine!
A painful slow decline of a once dominant franchise.
we are not losing games by much but we lack the star players that we once had. Suggs and SSS are well beyond their prime. Still solid but beyond prime. Flacco is not a super star but a QB who can win games. We dont have a superstar at WR or RB - Brandon Williams, Yanda or CJ is probably the closest thing we have to a super star- sometimes it is those star players who give us the little something extra to win those close games that we keep losing. IDK if we need to draft better or grab a FA or trade but we dont seem to have the play maker type that made a difference on either side of the ball (we have a group of very solid and even very good players) but we need more to step up or to go out and get more of those diffence makers that Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Ray Rice, Todd Heap, Boulware, A. Thomas, Haloti Ngata, etc that have been a stable in BMORE!
5 THOUGHTS:
1. Agreed penalties are killing us... but that has been the MO under Harbs... I think he needs to crack down on this sooner then later
2. I saw some good things under Marty but too much of the same. Hope as he continues to get more comfortable in that spot that he will open this offense up more and more. Lets take the handcuffs off and stop being so darn predictable.
3. I know we had some injuries and I know this will not be popular but I still am simply not a Dean Pees fan,,, people can say whatever they want about a top ten defense and statistics but we cannot ever close team out (since he got here) all three of our loses this year... our defense had chances to close the game out but we failed. The bend but dont break mentality keeps breaking when it matters the most! So hard to watch out loses game after game over the past two seasons with the game in the hands of our defense. Hard to watch (especially for a team with such a rich and proud tradition on the defensive side of the ball)!
4. Why do we continue to seem so much more injury prone then other teams in the NFL (at this point... it is beyond coincidence or bad luck)
5. We are still only one game back behind he division leading sqeelers. And they play the Patriots next week without Ben! (We can right the ship quickly)
we went in wounded but that is a game that we should have won. I have said it a million times. Since Dean Pees has come here we cannot close a single team out. We have lost more games in the closing seconds and the bend but dont brake defense keeps breaking when it matters. We can say whatever we want about the high ranked defense but in all three of our loses the defense couldnt close the opponent out. (That is this year) I can make the same argument for many of our 11 loses last year. (and more) we are way to talented on that side of the ball to not be able to rely on the defense at all!
feel sorry for WEDDLE,could of got a ring with PITTSBURG if he went there.
They couldnt beat our JV last year - I dont care how good they look right now. Harbs seems to have Tomlins number!
1. I feel like we are trying to win every game by a field goal. we get a little lead and take our foot off of the gas and then give us a score and scurry to try to win in as the clock runs out. Take the handcuffs off and let the offense play.
2. Utilize the weapons we have. Waller, Perriman, Moore, We may need to institute 4 WR sets, 5 WR sets, Two TE sets ect.... to take more advantage of the talent that we have.
3. I know if has been effective so far but I hate the bend but dont break defensive approach. I am watching teams like the Vikings and Broncos attack offenses and win with Defense and it reminds me of Raven football. Wish we would make our defense more aggressive and more fearsome again. (they are playing well but I think we have the talent to play better)
4. The OL injuries scare me and are killing us. We need to protect Joe... Maybe two TE sets will help to offset some of those injuries...IIDK
5. As good as our ST looked in week 1-3 - they have looked that bad in weeks 4 & 5... and have probably been the difference between our wins and loses.
WOW.... the OL situation is not sounding good. We have depth but with young players continuity is important. Hope they are all good to go come Sunday but it dont sound good!
5 thoughts....
1. Good teams find ways to win
2. 3-0 is huge however we got here. That means that we could go 6-7 over the last 13 games and we will still have a good chance at the playoffs
3. Our defense is better but we still need to improve the pass rush
4. Where is the run game.... hope that Dixon changes our run game situation when he gets back
5. Lets open up the offensive playbook a little. Joe is not a rookie no more and Trestmen needs to trust him more then he has shown to this point. We have the speed to stretch the field but seem to hesitant to take the handcuffs off
Hope that Carl Davis heals up... i think he can be a beast... Looking for Elam to have one more shot at this also!
Glad that Forsett is back... that can only happen with a high character guy like JF... Glad that he is back!
1. Why are the Ravens so injury prone? at this point.... it cannot be bad luck bc we cannot be that much more unlucky then every other team in the NFL. I feel for Ben... SMH (we need to take a look at how we are training and preparing).
2. Dixon does look good- hope the injury doesn't set him back too much. He has a future here.
3. Loved to see Joe, Sizzle and company return and look good!
4. Harbs can complain about cutting the preseason down bc of injuries but he dont have to play starters ... that is his choice!
5. Waller is a player and I think that as unfortunate as losing Ben Watson is.... it may open a door for Waller down the road and he needs to be given opportunities!

the most disappointing thing is that we drafted for pass rush... we passed on Hargraves and Ramsey and others to boost our Pass rush and we have zero pass rush. In fact KC looks like the next Arthur Brown!
