Seems like the usual suspects! Canty (has missed more then he played for us over the last several years). Perriman (?) Webb (always seems to be hurt). Maxx (seems to be catching that injury bug) Then you get the other side of the coin. Yanda...injured but rest assured he will play. SSS injured but rest assured he will play! Forsett injured but rest assured he will also play. We need a few more warriors like SSS, Yanda and company. I would love to see the NFL go to incentive based contracts! At this point... I think Perriman and Canty would owe us money. We would have the RRice issue and Heck we would just about break even with Webb!

conquerworm....not sure what has you so enamored with Pees but some of the things that you quoted i have to respectfully disagree with. 1. You said that DSmith is old and slow.... just last season he played at a probowl level... how did he get so old in one season? 2. You say it is not Pees Fault that WHill played out of position and allowed Torrey to burn SWright? Yes it is... he calls the plays and he sold out to stop the run! (we stop the run well as a team...we dont have to go all out to stop the run)... and why in the world would any DC allow a CB with 4 days of preparation to go one on one with not help over top Torrey? THat is just stupid play calling. 3. You say that it is not the DCs fault that people miss tackles. (yes it is- playing them out of position does that... not being properly prepared and not having a solid grasp of the game plan does that! When a player does it consistently... its a bad player... when a team does it consistently its a bad Coach! You said it yourself our team cant tackle! 4. You say it is not his fault that Arrington sucks in the slot and cant play zone... the thing Arrington was known for coming in is his ability to take away the slot WR and was why at the beginning of this season he was one of the most coveted FA CB's in the league! Just a few months ago... now all of a sudden he cant play the slot or zone? What? 5. DStewart is playing with the top D in the league.... so what does that mean? When we were one of the top Ds in the league They were saying that DStewart couldnt play... and was the week link...noone is calling him the week link in Denver? In fact he is playing at a pro bowl level! 6. What about JIhedigbo??? he was considered a player not good enough to cut it in BMORE... and he is now in Detroit (whos D is playing maybe worse then ours) and he looks like a pro bowler too! How do we explain that???? 7. You say we have no play makers on D???? (Dumerville is one of the best in the league! CJ was a pro bowler as a rookie- BWilliams is widely considered one of the best DL in the NFL, Jimmy Smith just last season was considered one of the top 5 CBs in the game, WIll Hill before coming to BMORE was considered one of the top 3 Safeties in the game... CDavis has to be considered one of the top def rookies of the year, DSmith played at a probowl level just last year) No play makers???? Your drinking Pees kool aid. Not one D player has gotten better since Pees came here! NOT ONE! But nearly all have gotten worse since he got here! WHat does that tell you???? Think about that-seriously... I cannot name ONE defensive player who got better under Pees????? Not one DB has played well since Pees got here... .NOT ONE! Name me one DB who has played well under Pees... they cant all suck can they????? even when the offense struggles and in down years... we had WRs who produced... maybe not enough weapons but always had some WR's play well (Mase, Boldin, Torrey, SSS) not ONE DB has played well since Pees took over... NOT ONE!

how can we not stop any QB in the NFL... every QB puts up big numbers against us. Carr, McCown, Dalton, Colin K, it dont matter who is back there... we will make them look good!

Harbs.... its not just fight harder... it is fight smarter. We look lost a 1/4 of the time on defense... we have Joe looking confused at times on offense. Our penalties kill us week in and week out and we place Shareece Wright (a guy with less then a week of preparation) in man coverage (with no help over the top) vs their top WR time and time again and wonder why he gets beat? Its not fight harder at this point. We need to fight smarter!

ilike mostert....he looked great in limited use @ purdue! he has a ton of raw talent but isjust that -very raw. his speed is sick and he can make you miss....needs to learn to be patient and let the play develop....and needs to improve vision but with time and reps -he has the raw skills to really develop

mcjacket.... steelcitys comments to get rid of Pees.... is not a knee jerk reaction like you suggest. Our defensive issues have been an on-going issue since Pees got here. 1. We cannot close team out -that has been true since Pees got here.... look as far back as our superbowl season including the superbowl. 2. We cannot get off of the field on rd down. that has also been true of our Defense since Pees got here. 3. Players who played well under Pags have under achieved under Pees. 4. Players who have underachieved here went else where and excelled. 5. Penalties have been a problem for our D since Pees got here. 6. Our D has been marked by inconsistency since Pees got here- in spite of the multitude of talent we have on that side of the ball and the investment that we have made in the defense. 7. Nobody fears our defense since Pees got here. We look uninspired... confused and unlike any Raven defense in ravens history. 8. We have given at least 20 points in every game and nearly 30 point in every game this season. - too much of an investment on that side of the ball for that to be true! BUT IT IS! 9. Harbs isnt managing the people around him like you suggest when the problem has been consistent for 4 years. Its not about giving Pees time like Castillo....it is much bigger then that and we have a much bigger sample of Pees weaknesses. 10. No one ever suggested to cave into the fan base...but just bc the fans suggested it doesnt mean that it is inaccurate. I have been hearing sports reporters,media personalities and ex -football players and other experts are all saying the same thing, When fans, experts, other professionals, etc are all calling for the same thing.... they are obviously seeing a pattern ... just because a coach refuses to see an issue with a friend or refuses to acknowledge it doesnt mean he is right... You used Juan Castillo as an example of where Harbs was right but that was a small sample.... I offer Cam Cameron as an example (with a much bigger sample) of how Harbs was wrong in this area. We fired Cam and reversed a 3 game losing streak and went on to win a superbowl...this was a much bigger sample of one of Harbs weaknesses as a coach... he dont hold his assistants accountable and he makes excuses for then incompetence regardless of how bad it gets. Steelcity and others pointed this out and I for one dont think it is a knee jerk reaction. This a very large sample of Pees inadequacies. This is very different then the Castillo situation and not something that would suggest that Harbs is just caving into the fans... but just making a decision that is best for the team based on a very large sample of evidence.

Ravensfansince03.... it started before Ed reed.... Ed's last season.... (When Pees took over) they were saying our DB's were too old and that ED needed to retire. They have made excuses since Pees got here. The year he got here...they said our D was too old....(Ed and Ray lost a step they said).... and then the next season we failed defensively and they said it was bc we lost too much (Ray and Ed)... then the next season they said it was too many injuries to our DB... and then this year... they say our players suck! How about lets just acknowledge the trend! We have under achieved on Defense since Pees got here.... not matter how much we invested on that side of the ball. We have invested a lot on defense and we cannot get anything out of them... meanwhile the players who under achieved here leave and go to other teams and flourish! How did they get so good in a season! Ihedigbo looks like a probowler in Detroit right now... and he could cover crap here! WHy????? Elam started and played well as a rookie under Pags and has sucked under Pees- WHY???? Will Hill was the top S in the NFL in NY - comes to BMORE and isnt cutting it WHY? BPollard couldnt cover cindy brady in BMORE - went to Tennessee and looked like a probowler until her got injured.... WHY???? KLewis looked great in Houston....comes here and looks horrible- WHY???????? Can we really not see the trend? Cmon open your eyes! Pees is the common denominator!

Pollard left BMORE and played well in Tennessee... Ihedigbo left BMORE and looks like a probowler in Detroit.... Elam played his best season under Pags (his rookie year)... will Hill looked like the best safety in football in NY (under a different DC)....KLewis looked great in Houston (under a different DC) why can all of these S look great under other DC's (some before and some after).... but yet never cut it under our DC??????????????? Maybe bc it has less to do with the talent of our Safties and the inability of our DC! (and it dont stop with S) I can give examples at every position that will futher illustrate the trend with Pees incompetence!

Will Hill is one of the top S in the NFL... look at how he performed in NY compared to here. If WHill,BWilliams, CJ Mosley, DSmith, Jimmy Smith, EDumervile, CUpshaw, or even Webb turned FA today.... another team would sign them today! (I can even throw Timmy and Carl Davis in that list) when 9 of our 11 players would be highly coveted by other teams but cannot produce here.... what is it? Its not lack of talent ........ its not knowing how to utilize the talent we have! its a failure from a schematic and philosphical approach... its coaching and that has been consistent since Pees got here!

when player after player under achieve.... (and Typically our talent scouts are on top of things)... then we have to wonder if the coaching is getting the most out of these players. Elam for example.... played much better as a rookie under Pags then he did at all since Pees got here. The same goes for Cody... the same goes for McPhee... it took McPhee a little to adjust under Pees at a new position when he looked like a stud under Pags... Same with Webb... he looked great under Pags and not so much under Pees... Same with many of our Defensive Players .... I am not convinced that these guys are that bad... I believe that we could have DReevis, RSherman, Joe Hade, Clinten Dix and Mark Barron or Harrison Smith in our defensive backfield and still not beable to stop the pass of avg QBs .... the only thing that would be entertaining at that point would be to hear the excuses Pees makes then!

FIVE THOUGHTS 1. 3 extra days to prepare for the Browns (the Browns)... 2. We had them at home! 3. WE had a double digit lead 4. we scored 30 points again and lost! 5. Pees gotta go!

Thats crap... we should have one that game with or without the injuries. Excuses! If we cannot stop McCown..... who can we stop? He has average WR's at best... they cannot run on us -so we dont need to crowd the box... we cant even slow him down.... he passed for over 400 yards on us and ran for a TD.... IF we cannot stop McCown... there may not be a QB in the NFL who we can stop. IDK any team would even try to run on us- just drop back and throw the ball 50x against us and they will beat us!

the defense collapsed in 3 of our 4 loses. what good does it do to talk about how we let us down when nothing changes. The defense has let us down over and over since Pees got here.... and it has come to a climax.... how much longer will we allow him to destroy this defense? since he got here, 1. We cant close teams out 2. We cannot get off of the field on third down. 3. We commit penalties that kill us. 4. We make average QB's look like Tom Brady or Joe Montana! 5. We lost our physicality 6. The only thing that has been consistent about out defense is that we have been inconsistent since Pees got here! 7. and last... since Pees got here- NO LEAD IS SAFE!

Will Hill, K Lewis, Brooks, Elam...they dont suck... they would flourish under a different DC.... and most of them have! (WHill, KLewis, even Elam) but got worse under Pees... he has single handedly let our team down.... we have gotten worse since he got here and its irregardless of who is here. I said last year... we could have Reevis, Richard Sherman, Joe Haden, Clinten Ha Ha Dix and Mark Barron in our DB and we would look bad with Pees calling the shots!

Pees does have a ton to work with... Jimmy Smith... was considered one of the top three CB's in the NFL... Will Hill considered one of the top S in the NFL... we have CJ and DSmith in the middle is there a better middle LB tandem then those two? We have Dumerville on the outside and upshaw setting the edge... (Pretty darn good)... heck when we had Suggs as the pass rusher and JJ setting the edge our D was nasty. We have BWilliams one of the top 3 run stoppers in the NFL... Timmy J and Carl Davis are two young superstars.... What else does the guy need? It has been a consistent theme since we got here. We had a top notch Defense under Pags and a year later they were saying (under Pees) that our defense got old over night(with Ray and Ed, etc). The next year Ray and Ed retired and they said we lost too much and that is why the defense under achieved. Last season they blamed it on injuries and what not... We always have an excuse for failure since Pees arrived! We need to get rid of Pees and stop making excuses! He has failed from day 1! HE/s out of excuses! His time is up
