  1. Zuttah has really turned some heads the past couple of weeks, including my own. I was calling for him to be benched, but he's now one of our more consistent O-linemen. But when everyone gets healthy, I wouldn't mind Lewis shifting to RT to take over for Wagner. Urschel hasn't been bad, and Wagner was having a tough time even before he got hurt. I'd love to see a line of: Stanley - Urschel - Zuttah - Yanda - Lewis
  2. So you're gonna act like the injuries didn't make the difference for us? That the Giants pass rush would still have camped out in our backfield if we had our 1st round LT and All-Pro RG? That OBJ and the rest of that WR core would still toast us if we had our #1 or #2 CB's or our Defensive Captain ILB? I'd understand your point if the Giants were just as hurt as we were. Then you can't blame injuries because they're just a bad off as we are. But when the Giants are running on 100% capacity versus a team that's keeping its head above water, games like this happen. The Big names we had that were sidelined weighed too much for us to compete with the Giants
  3. Aight so: No Stanley, No Wagner, No Yanda, No SSS, No Jimmy, No Shareece, No CJ, No Suggs, ZDS hurt, Tavon Hurt, Zuttah hurt, AND we still only lost by 4? Honestly not bad. If you saw our Injury report and thought we were gonna play a clean game or even win, you're delusional. We were set up for failure right from the kickoff. That said, We desperately need to get healthy. The injuries are becoming too much to handle. Hopefully Stanley, Yanda, and/or Wagner can come back next week to mitigate the pain on the O-line, and SSS is good enough to give us some reliable hands. The offense played pretty well for all the pieces they were missing. Mornhinweg is a far better replacement from Trestman. Defense laid an egg though in the passing game. Gotta put the blame on the lack of pass rush there, because OBJ is gonna burn us when Will Davis and Tavon Young are on him Overall, this game sucked, but really there wasn't anything too unexpected. We stopped the run, couldn't stop the pass, We started running more, the passing game saw some effectiveness. It s meh, and it gets better knowing the rest of the AFCN lost as well. And for the love of [Deity], STOP LETTING HARBAUGH GO FOR IT ON 4TH DOWN
  4. A bad O-line definitely doesn't help. You start having to hit receivers before they can get separation, and that's a mess in itself
  5. I mean put our WR core into perspective: 1) SSS is a HOF wide receiver, and he is giving it all he's got, but he is 37. No explanation needed here 2) Wallace is known for speed, not hands. Dating back to his Steeler days, he's had issues with drops in his career. There's a reason he came so cheap to us 3) Aiken is an undrafted FA that is panning out to be fantastic depth or even a slight #2. But there are reasons he went undrafted, and at most we can just hope last season wasn't a fluke 4) Perriman has played 5 NFL games total, and he has 10 catches on 21 targets to his name. He was drafted to be a high upside project receiver with blazing speed, not great hands 5) Moore is a 4th round rookie with 4 catches on 9 targets to his name. Yes he had bad drops, but he is also a rookie. You have to live with the growing pains 6) Do we even need to explain how useless Hester is in the WR core? Our WR core isn't known for being the All-Pro team. Really thinking about it, we have a super high potential WR group that is full of guys that have had their troubles. We don't have any super polished WR's that dominate like an AJ Green or AB,but if Wallace returns to form, SSS stays healthy, Perriman breaks out, and/or Aiken stays consistent, our WR core can be in the top tier of the league. Heck, even if one or two of them pan out, we have a solid passing game. But you do have to remember we have a bunch of guys that have their problems, and we do sometimes have to roll with the lumps
  6. Yeah I've heard about Ducasse in the passing game, and its not good. Still though, what purpose will he serve if he's a clone of Jensen? Does Urschel serve as the pass protection guard? Does having 3 LG's mean Lewis is shifting to T? Of course I assume it's a depth move, but its just odd
  7. Hester has definitely been too lax in letting the ball bounce, and it has been costly. You'd expect the greatest return man of all time to understand the impact of a fair catch, so I assume this is easily fixable, but at the same time, I do appreciate him not being too aggressive with catching and returns. Can you name all the returns/returners we've had that wanted to make a big play and end up getting destroyed and fumbling?
  8. I know this thread is for the Jensen bandwagon, but going off Lewis at LT: He played really well. His skill set is definitely more suited to play T than G. I hope they can look at Wagner long and hard and maybe make a decision to start giving Lewis snaps at RT when Stanley comes back. Stanley and Lewis at the ends of the line has so much potential. Back to Jensen though, he rebounded well against the Skins, but I'm still not 100% sold on him. I will agree that his Run blocking is great, but his pass protection is rough. With the signing of Ducasse, I'm interested to see what we end up doing at LG with Urschel/Lewis/Jensen/Ducasse and more interested to see if that starts to spill over into Zuttah's spot at C. How many of those guys will even be active on gameday?
  9. Jenkins will be a problem, but Apple and DRC seem to have gotten banged up against the Packers. DRC apparently played through the injury but Apple had to leave. Not to discredit their defense however, because they will eat our line alive if we send out the same unit
  10. I attribute his feet not getting down as a rookie mistake, but if that toe goes down, Norman gets embarrassed by a beautiful catch. I'm pretty much writing off this season for Perriman with the hopes that he can just finish the year. Getting a bunch of catches, yards, or TD's would just be extra. He's still learning the game professionally, and people said he was a high upside project coming out of college anyways. Let him get a feel for the offense at #3/#4 and next year hold him to a higher standard
  11. Out of curiosity, is there anyone in the offseason we have on our wish list for OC? In the event Mornhinweg doesn't workout
  12. Stanley, Lewis, and Young are very obviously being used, and they are playing very well. KD is back from injury and West is averaging like 9 YPC, so no reason to rush him. Correa and Moore are projects, but I assume they will be active next week if Mosley and SSS/Wallace can't go. Heck I'd expect Moore to replace Waller, who really didn't do anything, on the active list regardless. Judon and Henry are just victims of a deep line and neither can play ST, though I will agree Judon should get more chances
  13. Trestman's seat is on fire right now, but Harbaugh's is getting warm. If we have another bad season, the front office has to start evaluating him. The SB win gives him the benefit of the doubt, but that was burned last year. If we have a bad season this year, I think next year is his last chance. At this point though, no reason to fire him mid season. He's 3-2 and people have said a good OC makes us 5-0. Firing him and Trestman would cause more issues than it would solve.
  14. Potentially no Mosley, no SSS, no Wallace, no Stanley, no Wagner, and still having Trestman. We're screwed
  15. Trestman should have been fired the second he thought it was a good idea to go for the hail mary with 1 second left in the half. Joe gets sacked and Wagner gets hurt.
  16. *Continues thread's streak of Trestman needs to go* This defense is too good to have an offense this bad. Especially with the weapons we have. But you all know Harbaugh is going to say injuries were to blame and Trestman will be back next week to blow another game. I am also praying to the football gods SSS, Stanley, and Mosley all are back next week. Lewis wasn't terrible at LT, but Jensen and Wagner are trash. We need the line of: Stanley - Urschel - Zuttah - Yanda - Lewis Also, we need to start looking at other options than Hester. Dude cost us by not fair catching or even trying to return most of those kicks. Add in his fumbles, and do you really think we can't find someone who can do the same job,if not better that's younger and faster? I didn't like the signing then and I like it less now TLDR: Defense is still great, Offense needs to get healthy, Trestman needs to go, Hester needs to go
  17. Gonna miss Forsett man. While I still think its the right move, he was always such a positive force for the team. He worked hard, and worked well with everyone. That said, anyone wanna take bets on if he goes to the Skins? They need a good receiving back, but it'd be super awkward to have him come in as an inactive this Sunday And I think the roster spot either goes to Waller or a reserve OL to be named later
  18. Keep Elam, Get rid of Lewis. He was booty when he came in for Weddle
  19. Judon > ZDS And its not close
  20. Good: 1) SSS is back 2) T West is going to be a force for this team 3) Juice is awesome 4) Obligatory Tucker is amazing post 5) Joe actually played a really good game for not having a running game for a half, having no O-line, and having receivers get cases of the drops Bad: 1) Wright is really showing why he needs to go to the bench 2) Chris Moore having the rookie growing pains and drops 3)The D-Line not getting any pressure on Carr 4) Obligatory Kendrick Lewis is bad post, and to beg Weddle never to leave again Awful: 1) Pretty sure the only competent O-Linemen we sent out was Yanda. Hurst and Zuttah were normal hot garbage, but Jensen and Wagner were also terribad. Can not wait for Stanley to come back and for them to put Lewis back in a G. Hopefully Urschel finally gets playing time at G/C 2) How does Mark Trestman still have a job? The dude just has no idea how to call an offense in the NFL. Didn't know how to do it for the Bears and obviously doesn't know how to do it for the Ravens 3) While I don't agree with the NFL rules on spiking, Wallace has to be better than that. You don't take unnecessary penalties that late into the game 4) Kamar Aiken really is letting me down this year. He cries out for wanting more catches and targets, but he just can't get open or make the catch. And this is going beyond just the final play where he had pretty much no chance at it 5) Harbaugh needs to slow down the aggression on his decisions. I agree about going for 2, but you don't accept that penalty and you take the FG. Its moronic to think Janikowski is going to struggle if you scoot them back a little It was a bad game, but if we can stay this close in a bad game, then I'm optimistic about this team. Still want Trestman gone, but we still are a good team On to Washington
  21. Justin Tucker gets the 3rd down sack to force the punt. Tucker returns it to mid field, and the offense comes out where Justin Tucker hands it to Justin Tucker who sprints for a 10 yard gain. 4th down for the offense, Justin Tucker drops back, slips the sack after a clutch block by Justin Tucker, throws for a first down after a one handed catch by Justin Tucker to get them in FG range. All comes down to this, one clutch kick by the special teams to win it all. Sam Koch kicks it from 50, and its good! Ravens win 10-9 Offensive Playmaker: Justin Tucker Defensive Playmaker: Justin Tucker Special Teams Playmaker: Sam Koch
  22. Doom-Jernigan-Williams-Guy-Suggs Judon-ZDS-Pierce-Urban-McClellan I Like that
  23. Nope, 0% chance. Ain't gonna happen (Reverse Psychology?)
  24. I love how on every power rankings we are top 10, but the analysis is essentially "They are 3-0, but man do they suck"
  25. lol Like we are seriously going to keep putting Wright on people's top receivers. Interesting he doesn't really comment about Smith
