  1. Can we please take a moment to realize that the ONLY WR the Ravens will pass to and trust is the 36 yr old Steve Smith with micro-fractures in his back. SF is well aware and are going to do anything to stop him, knowing we won't pass to anyone else
  2. In truth, the O-line is actually playing pretty well. The WR's are just terrible. No one is getting open and Flacco is stuck running around until he has to dump off or throw it away. *Fingers Crossed* Pitta can somehow return along with Perriman within the next 3 weeks
  3. Pees gave up calling this game and is currently in the press box looking at plane ticket costs for when he gets fired
  4. So it says that Gillmore isn't expected to play this week against Pitt. Is Mad Maxx a good play? I know Crockett just had the one monster game, but the temptation for the rookie break out is almost too much
  5. With Perriman not coming back any time soon, Smith with the back injury, and Camp apparently being taken out of the locker room in a wheelchair, I figure the Ravens have to sign someone to play WR. Problem is we don't have much Cap room left to sign anyone that could make a big impact. So what do you think they are gonna do?
  6. Tate's cap hit the next few years is outrageous. He has cap hits of $7 mil, $8 mil, and $9 mil across the last 3 years. Next year we would be stuck paying him $7 million regardless of how he does when he gets here, and wouldn't even have the chance to consider cutting him until 2017 where we still get hit by $4 mil in dead money. Unless they are absolutely sure Tate can be a top guy for us, they have no reason to spend our already limited cap space on someone who is mainly concerned with just helping this year EDIT: For $7 million a year, we can easily pull in a good WR from FA next year. Crabtree, Quick, Randle, Matthews, A very generous Jeffery
  7. Thankfully, SSS didn't get hit with a spinal injury. While broken ribs in his back is kinda serious, I feel they will rest him this week and try again against the 49ers. With that said, I think they play Givens this week, but keep him low on the depth chart and limit his plays. The line-up of 1) Aiken 2) Waller 3) Brown 4) Givens terrifies me, and its obvious we will be relying on the TE. If we can somehow pull out wins against the Browns and 49ers, and take the L against the Cards, we can roll into the Chargers game 3-4 with: 1) SSS 2) Aiken 3) Givens (Waller) 4) Waller (Givens) 5) Brown and at TE 1) Gilmore 2) Boyle 3) Williams with a chance at being 4-4 going into the Jag's game with 1) SSS 2) Aiken 3) Perriman (Depending on Recovery) 4) Waller 5) Givens 6) Brown and at TE: 1) Pitta (Depending on Recovery) 2) Gilmore 3) Boyle 4) Williams With a remaining schedule that has a chance of us going 5-2 to finish the season at 10-6 and possibly a wildcard spot
  8. In general, I don't think anyone is more mad about Perriman not playing, as much as everyone is mad about the Ravens not releasing any information about the injury. If right from the get go, they would have said he has a PCL sprain and could miss the first few weeks with them saying he aggravated it and needed surgery, the outcry would be far less than everyone hoping every week he gets better from an injury no one knows anything about or if its getting better or worse
  9. 1) Get Alshon 2) Sign to Extension 3) WR Core of Jeffery/Perriman 4) ????? 5) Profit
  10. If this keeps up, please blow up this team next year. We need help everywhere
  11. We can't even get Tucker into range. Its truly amazing how inefficient this offense is. Can't get 10 yards let alone enough for FG range
  12. If this is no TD, and we can somehow get points on the board before halftime, I'll hold on to some hope
  13. Put Jimmy on Green's side, and have him never leave it! 3 weeks now of having Jimmy give the receiver space and having them burn him. This isn't hard!
  14. Now beginning the "I hate Trestman's playcalling" rants
  15. Can we also talk about how Taliaferro is active, but they aren't playing him, and Babin and Will Davis are inactive, yet we are desperate on defense?
  16. So where's the guy with the panic button? If we go into halftime shut out, I think its time to hit the button
  17. Still think they keep him out this week, but playing Week 4 against Pitt is looking more and more like a possibility. And we all know how good Pitt is at covering our speed receivers...
  18. I doubt he immediately starts over Webb, but it at least starts to put him on the hot seat
  19. Perriman, where are'th thee?
  20. I kinda want to see Aiken start to show up. He had a lot of talk about why he should be the #2, but he was almost missing against Denver
  21. I can't be the only one who was at least a little excited to see Babin debut this week
  22. I feel if they go after anyone in FA, it'll be Freeney. He would be a decent stop gap to act as the patch for the pass rush. However, I hope they stay in house with Upshaw+McClellan getting more snaps. Upshaw never really got a chance to shine as the starting pass rush and McClellan has looked good so far. Regardless of who they put there, I will still be shouting expletives every time a RB gets free or a QB has all day
  23. As much as everyone seems to trash Montee Ball, I feel he'd be a good stop gap while LT is out. Worst comes to worst, he won't sign for that much and can be cut whenever
  24. Seeing a pretty decent divide as to whether Allen or Taliaferro will be #2 RB. LT was one of the better rookie backs last year, and he did provide a great change of pace to Forsett. I think LT will be #2 and Allen sits behind until he really breaks open
  25. I'm tempering my expectations for the year. The offense SHOULD be one of the best in Ravens History with the weapons and players we have: QB: All hail the mighty Flacco RB: Forsett, Taliaferro, and Buck. RETURN OF THE 3 HEADED MONSTER TE: With or without Pitta, this group is nice. With Pitta, we have the best 2 TE set in the league with Pitta and Williams. Without, we still have a feature TE in Williams with a great raw prospect in Gilmore WR: SO MUCH QUALITY DEPTH, I LOVE IT. IT'S SO NICE OL: Still one of the best lines in the league. Unless the injury bug hits hard again, nothing can stop these guys. Added Urshel and Hurst as depth? We should be set here The defense is what kinda scares me. So many risky moves that we just gotta hope pay off: DL: Losing Ngata is big, but Williams, Jernigan, and a rotation at DE might be enough. Getting Davis and Smith will be big in mending the hit LB: Still our feature unit. Suggs and Doom are All-Pro, and Mosely and Smith lock down the center DB: Scares me the most. Our weakest position due to injury, and we didn't really make any moves to reinforce it. Kendrick Lewis and Will Hill at safety should get some consistency going there (And get rid of Elam), and getting Jimmy and Webby back as starters will set one of the best CB tandems. Depth is just my only concern I don't need to mention special teams other than KR/PR. Tucker and Koch are straight $$$. Returner I guess is Camp, but not much experience there
