  1. Ravens win SB, team's FA's get raided "They spent too much money on Joe Flacco and his contract is keeping them from resigning much of their core. That team is falling apart Denver wins SB, FA's get raided "This is normal for SB champions. Denver will still be a contender and can afford to make Miller the highest paid defensive player ever"
  2. How I imagine things went down: Ravens: "KO we really appreciate all the work you put in for the team and for helping us win a Super Bowl, and we want to pay you as much as we can. How's about 2nd most money on the entire offense?" KO: "The Raiders are gonna make me one of the highest paid OL in the league. You guys wanna match?" Ravens: "Nah we can't afford to pay you that much. Our team isn't a collection of players on rookie deals so we don't have absurd cap space to throw at you. Good luck and thanks for your time." *Few Days Later* KO: "Yeah the Ravens never really appreciated the work I gave them. If they were willing to pay me, I would have reconsidered"
  3. I'll take "Players I Don't Want" for $400 Alex
  4. A Tucker Extension has to be coming up here soon as well. We can knock off about $1 million-ish if you give him a deal similar to Gostkowski. We're building cap space for someone, and the suspense for who just might tear me apart
  5. If the market for Kap begins to explode (Which I think it will seeing as he's the best QB availible vs. RG3 and Fitz), I wouldn't be surprised to see San Fran send Kap and their first for Cleveland's first. San Fran takes their QB and Cleveland gets a QB and only slide down a few spots
  6. I feel like the you can make the case for Tunsil and Bosa for best player as well. Tunsil is as safe of a Tackle prospect as they come, and Bosa's measurements strike a resemblance to Watt. But I understand your point. I just doubt the Titans take him, and Cleveland apparently wants Kap so they might be in play for Ramsey as well
  7. If we are clearing money for Weddle, I might just start crying tears of joy. Jimmy, Weddle, Hill, Wright, and Arrington/Davis in the secondary sounds beautiful. Also, wouldn't be mad about Beachum either, but I think he asks for too much money for our tastes
  8. 1) Titans if they don't move are taking Tunsil. Way too high for Ramsey 2) Browns will take a QB. And more than likely ruin his career. Again 3) Chargers I'd be most concerned at taking Ramsey. They definitely need someone to replace Weddle. They also really badly need pass rush. 4) Cowboys are taking Bosa if he's here. They need Pass Rush and he's too nice of a prospect for them to pass on. Jack would also be a nice pick 5) Jags would have taken Ramsey if not for Gipson deal. I think they either go Buckner, Jack, or try and trade back to get a mid tier pass rush, VH3, and/or a collection of picks. Ramsey still very much in play for them 6) Ravens are popping champagne in the War room if Ramsey is still here
  9. Oakland and the Jags shelling out money makes sense. They practically have to. All the other teams though, what in the world is happening?
  10. If he would get over himself and returned to his Steeler days talent wise, Mike Wallace could be a steal
  11. I definitely think the Watson deal is coming out of left field. Out of all the positions I thought we'd be spending on this offseason, TE wasn't very high up
  12. Could you imagine if his injury history comes back? Could be a nightmare for OAK
  13. Green 2x, Brown 2x, Possible Gordon 2x, Cooper, Edelman, Marshall, Bryant, OBJ, Robinson Yup, we're gonna need all the help we can get
  14. Don't forget Jahri Evans, Evan Mathis, and Ryan Wendell. All I think will command less than KO
  15. CB depth of Smith, Wright, Davis, Walker, UDFA Julian Wilson and pending cut Arrington. Yeah, we are gonna need some CB's
  16. Anyone know the current Cap siuation? And who else is looking to get the ax? I know Arrington and Lewis are only a matter of time, Monroe is pending the KO deal, and Pitta is more than likely a Post-June 1st so it makes sense to wait and see how his recovery is going before taking any action. EDIT: Over The Cap has us at $13 million after the Daryl release and manually cutting Canty. Can reach up to $16 million when releasing Monroe, Arrington, and Lewis
  17. Deal's only agreed in principle. Gotta wait on the physical before we get too excited
  18. No risk, High reward. Especially with the Ravens history of successful RB's
  19. Question about Cap Space and cutting players to save space: When cutting a player pre-June 1st, do we still get the additional cap savings after the post-June 1st date passes? For example, If we cut Monroe pre-June 1st, we get $2.1 million in savings and if we cut him after June 1st, we get $6.5 million. So assuming we cut Monroe before FA starts and get the $2.1 million, does the remaining $4.4 million in savings hit after June 1st?
  20. Just got a Bleacher Report notification that the Ravens aren't going after KO because they feel he doesn't love football enough. Anyone else get this?
  21. To be fair, he's like the 3rd string TE. I don't understand why people are calling to cut him and to focus on snagging a TE in the draft/FA. Leave him on during the suspension (He won't count against the cap or the 53 man roster) and either promote Ford or Reuland until we know Pitta's situation or can get a UDFA/Vet min player to fill the hole
  22. I wouldn't bother unless he comes for at most $2 mil/year. At worst, we could cut Forsett and replace him with Forte who would be a better fit in Trestman's system and better at showcasing to Buck and the other backs how to work in the system. We'd be doing Forsett pretty dirty though and that may hurt team image and chemistry
  23. 1) Mosley was hit with the Sophomore Slump. Happens to the best and no reason he doesn't rebound to his normal high level 2) Perriman I think is worked in gently. Aiken more than likely gets resigned and we run SSS and Kamar at 1-2. Perriman and the rookie/FA we bring in I think have to compete for #3, but the team will have no problem keeping Perriman at 4 until he is up to speed and can understand the offense 3) If Pitta doesn't come back, Crockett is the feature TE. He needs to work on his hands more, but he's already an amazing blocker. He will get far more use next year if he can stay healthy. I'm still not entirely sold on Maxx just because he hasn't really done much to tell me he's gonna be a big player in this league. Same with Boyle. I think the two of them compete for the back up spot to Crockett with Maxx edging him out for now based on his pedigree 4) Buck is more than likely the new #2, but he's so similar to Forsett that I think he only comes on the field to give Forsett a breather. It's not like he's a change of pace or anything, and the Ravens specialize in workhorse backs, so it'll be interesting to see how a committee approach works. 5) I have seen nothing from Jensen to merit him being a future star for us. Things need to be really bad on our line for us to be starting him. Urshel more than likely will be taking over at LG with someone coming in at LT. Jensen will remain the primary OL reserve in the event someone goes down 6) Jernigan I think also got hit by the Sophomore slump, and he has stated he wants to "dominate" so I think he corrects the ship. I am a bit concerned about Carl Davis and his ability to be consistent. Ever since college he's had a problem with his motor, and I'm hoping he can get everything corrected because when he gets going, he can be unstoppable 7) Waller didn't really prove himself his rookie year, and he may fall victim to a crowded WR core with SSS, Aiken, Perriman, FA/Draft Pick all locked in spots. He'll have to battle it out with Camp, Matthews, Butler, and the rest 8) ZDS I personally think is our diamond in the rough. Dude does not get the credit he deserves for the work he lays out on the field. I think his floor is at least another McPhee with the potential to be something greater BONUS: I don't understand the mad love for Brooks. I cheer for him to get a chance like everyone else, but he just doesn't seem to ever play well enough to merit more playing time. People on here think he might be our future at S, but I really don't see much of a future for him here
  24. Carolina's line really isn't anything special, and Denver exposed that all night. Cam's ability to get out of the pocket is what keeps them alive in games, and the Bronco's D was having none of that tonight
  25. I wouldn't be mad about getting Claiborne on a cheap deal. He has the talent, but he never lived up to his potential. He obviously wouldn't start, and he'd be decent coming off the bench or focusing on the slot
