  1. Anyone else want Jack at safety for us? I've been thinking about it and we could lose Will Hil next year, Jack would come in and already be more athletic and have better coverage skills than almost any SS in the league, I like the idea of having 3LBs in our base package with Jack at safety then CJ and Daryl in the 3-4 then move Jack to LB in nickel packages. All this would help us maximize our run stopping ability on early down along with our coverage ability on 3rd down.

I told people Darian Thompson lacked athleticism. His 3C drill was not very good. Joey Bosa, a DL/OLB with significantly more weight, posted a way better 3 cone drill than Thompson, a safety. Darian Thompson is a true gambler, and I do like him, but he does not have the range to play FS in single-high. He was responsible for quite a few deep completions this year due to making a bad gamble.

I saw a few of those deep completions on the tape I watched of him, it looked pretty bad. I always thought Thompsons instincts were kinda overrated, I'd rather take a chance on a later round guy, there's quite a few that played deep coverage in college, like Kevin Byard and Justin Simmons.

  3. I think worst case scenario, the big 5 are gone and we go VH3, his final game didn't affect his stock with me, I still see him as a blue chip prospect and I think the only issue he could have to start with is he might not be able to cover deep 1 on 1 but his ball tracking and vert ability could easily remedy that, so I still think he's squeaky clean and the combine showed off his ball skills, if he gets his hands on the ball it's an int.

You do not think he is the best guard in the league?? Watch the contract he gets!! It will dwarf the recent top guards to hit the market. He is the most feared olineman in the league during locker room talk. His contract will reflect it. And you franchise him for leverage for a long contract. Franchising the kicker was real brilliant. What is your preference at left tackle?? Eugene Monroe??

He's not even the best guard on this team.

The Broncos were still paying a QB big money so that is no excuse. Elway just managed the cap better. Resigning their players while active in free agency.  While psying an expendive qb. Give credit for having impact players on rookie contracts!! The ravens payed all the wrong players early and left the better players to hit free agency. Now the best guard in the league is hitting free agency while Ozzie franchises his kicker lol. The ravens would love to have to have to sign von Miller. the only edge rusher drafted in last 4 drafts is Upshaw.

I don't believe I ever used the QB excuse Manning was still getting big money. I just said they're probably gonna overpay osweiler.

and I think you may be a little too obsessed with KO, he's a beast but he is not the best guard in the league and franchising him would be idiotic, sure he might be able to play LT, but then again is 4 games enough to say for sure?

Yea i love it when the "scouts" on this page analyze every mini aspect on this page and seem to have issues with every player but Tunsil. This is my first year following this forum but I would've loved to see what people had to say about studs that've been drafted these past few years that were reaches or lacked this part of their game etc. Often I see people promoting how people are finally starting to like the same guy as them, yet since before playoffs everyones opinion has changed about 5 times and each time they're just as convinced, if not more that the new guy is the one the Ravens NEED to get etc. Within hours after the senior bowl Spence was the guy, now he's not. Treadwell is the best pick, now he's not.

This is so true, there has been a lot of flip floppers on the board, I for the most part try to stick with guys, although I must admit I've soured a bit on some of the receivers I like after really bad 40s.

But I think the over analyzing partly comes from the fact that we were pretty much done for the season by week 8, so a lot of us got a head start on watching college film, I know I started watching game tape way earlier than I usually do.

Dude he won the super bowl as their GM and quite frankly managed the cap far better than we have in recent years since they seem to have way more guys on their squad who they payed mega deals for and we only have a few and are somehow still up against the cap just like them. I wouldn't take him over Ozzie at all, but you can't hate on Elway because I wish Oz would have mortgaged our future if it would have gotten us another Lombardi Trophy last year

The only reason they had cap space to sign big names is because their best in house guys were still on rookie contracts, I'm waiting to see where they'll be when they give Miller his mega contract, they already paid DT big money, they payed up for Derek Wolfe, they could lose Malik Jackson who is highly underrated, and they may be forced to overpay Brock osweiler.

Like I said before Ozzie is just a football political figure that was surrounded by some good help. Then hyped up by football politics. By his own admission belichick was his mentor. I get it now, not many people like evans but nobody would be interested in Elway??

Well first thing Heath has never shown any ability to evaluate talent in the draft, all he does his spew stupidity out of his mouth all day.

and no I wouldn't take Elway as a gm because I don't like him as a person, I'll hold my judgement on him as a GM until I see how the team does without Manning but it really looks like he mortgaged the teams future.

and your just wrong about Ozzie, who cares if BB was his mentor? He was a former player with no experience in a front office, I'd sure hope he'd try to learn from one of the best. And what help was he surrounded by? Our elite QB in 2000? Ozzie did the literally the same exact thing in 2000 that Elway did these past few years.

Why all the hate for heat Evans now?? Everybody seems Heatho phobic suddenly. I actually think he could try his hand as an assistant gm. I would take him or elway over Ozzie any day!!

That is literally the funniest post I've ever seen on this board.

Shaq did have Vic Beasley. But ok, I'll dig more into him. Didn't because Walt wrote he could only fit a 4-3, but apparently that's false

Shaq didn't start until after Beasley left.

Would he be worth it at 6 though? I wasn't impressed by Bosa but Lawson May not be in the same league as Bosa and the other 4.

Haven't watched enough so I really need answers here.

Still not sure he's worth it at 6, I'd trade back for him though.

  11. Every time I watch Bosa interview it reminds me of Ricky Bobby, it's not his strong suit lol not that it matters.  Not much of a surprise but he said we interviewed him, his numbers weren't bad but worse than I thought, wonder if it effects his stock at all.

I'm thinking that 40 could hurt Spence. His game is predicated much by speed atm and running that is certainly disappointing. Comparatively speaking, other prospects have fallen before for the same and they're better talents than Spence. Combined with his character issues, it's possible he falls to the second now.

Even with his rise after the senior bowl I thought it was possible he could still fall, I'd gladly take him in the second but I could never buy into the hype about him going at 6.
