  1. First things first there is no speed rusher worth taking at 6 there's no Von Miller or Vic Beasley in this draft, secondly just because Buckner looks similar Campbell doesn't mean he is gonna have a career just like him, Campbell was a second rounder so logically Buckner is seen as a better player coming out. Also I'm not sure how you think 8 sacks is a little above average? I'd take 8 sacks from a DE every day of the week, and im really not sure why you think he can't get pressure on the QB, he was always around the QB with a ton of hurries this year and often finished with a sack. And I'm not sure why you're rambling about going in the top 5 cause we're picking at 6. i think the only thing that will limit Buckner is how he's used, if we were to draft him and only use him to free up LBs then Pees should be fired.
  2. I disagree there's plenty of Interior lineman that go top ten that aren't even established pass rushers coming out of college, and based on Buckner's senior year I'd say he's a better pass rusher than Leonard Williams, and frankly he is a better prospect coming out of college than Watt was, you can't compare Buckner in college to Watt in the NFL, Watt is gonna go down as one of the best to ever play at any position, so just stop the whole "not in the same league as watt" thing because there is not one person in the NFL on the same level as Watt.
  3. I see plenty to be impressed with he may not explode out of his breaks but he makes up for that with savviness in his route running using head fakes and good footwork, good hands, catches the ball away from his body, tracks the ball in air well and can go up and make catches with defenders around him, put up very good numbers in a run first offense, good quickness and vision after the catch, made his QB look very good making one handed catches jumping up for overthrown passes and fighting for under thrown ones, he just looks solid to me. He might be there for our third round pick but I think it's more likely we'd have to trade back up into the second round, or if we were to trade back from #6 and acquire an extra 2nd rounder then I think we should consider him.
  4. I like them both, but the more I watch of Leonte Caroo the more I think he should be added to the conversation to receivers we target in the second round. He looks like a poor mans OBJ IMO, he makes the circus catches, can work the short routes and be a deep threat and is surprisingly good in the red zone for someone his size.
  5. Their #15 and a 2nd and a 1st next year is the only trade I'd persue, to me two 2nd rounders isn't worth it in this draft, but 2 first rounders next year puts us in position for someone like Myles Garrett or even Fournette. Heck the Rams could even still tank with their new QB and we could end up with a top 10 pick in 2017.
  6. I don't think Bosa is doomed, I just think he's been hyped up by the media, (like a lot of top prospects) creating unfair expectations. He's been talked up as an "athletic freak" I really don't see that, but he's a solid prospect without a lot of huge questions, and would come in the league and probably be one of the most powerful OLBs if a 3-4 team drafted him. if we were to draft him though, I would kinda hope we just play a base 4-3 more maybe draft an athletic LB or 2 in the later rounds to help with the switch.
  7. I like Spence a lot and would consider him at 6 depending on whose there but I'd much rather trade back and try to get him. And if it came down to him vs Bosa I'd still pick Bosa every time, Bosa might not be a perfect pick for the 3-4 but he's already a beast in the pass and the run game, whereas Spence could use some work in the run game. Not to mention if we somehow got Bosa we could use him as a 3-4 DE on passing downs so Doom and Suggs could stay on the field while giving Bosa extra reps that a true 3-4 OLB probably wouldnt get.
  8. Very true. We never know what these Gms are actually thinking, but just from what I'm seeing there are quite a few teams in the higher teens and twenties that could use a slot receiver.
  9. I'm sure he'll put up good combine numbers and all but solidify it, knowing our luck I'm sure he'll end up a mid 2nd rounder, you know just enough to be a reach with our second pick and just out of reach with our third.
  10. I think everyone's dream of getting Shepard in the 3rd is going out the window fast, he's looking good at the senior bowl so far and is rising fast, could be a higher 2nd rounder all said and done.
  11. For what it's worth, it's been said DeCosta has been running the draft in recent years. And I don't think our drafts have been that bad, you look at 2013 and think of it as a huge failure because so far it looks like we missed on our 1st and 2nd rounder, but then you look at guys like B Williams, Wagner and Jensen and it doesn't look that bad, if we need to change anything it's how we evaluate higher rated prospects, because we are getting a lot of solid players in the first 2 rounds but missing out on the real elite guys, and I don't buy the whole "it's because we pick so late all the time" thing, I don't care if we're picking at #1 or #32 it's their job to find the best guy available.
  12. It wouldn't surprise me if Ramsey did go #1, I think it's gonna depend on their opinion of Lewan so far to see if LT is actually a need.
  13. Exactly, I think athleticism has been underrated by the FO and it's hurting us. Mccallister could have a similar situation to Danielle Hunter from last year, Mccallister already looks like a better pass rusher though.
  14. He looks pretty decent, definitely needs to hit the weight room cause he looks like a wide receiver out there. But he looks like a good fit as a 3-4 OLB as he seems more agile than most guys that are 6'5"+, obviously he's a project but we could use some faster guys at almost every position on this team and he could help that.
  15. I've been watching a bit more of Ramsey recently and the more I see of him the more I think if we drafted him he should stay at corner, he sticks to his man better than most CBs his size and while I don't think he's as great a playmaker as some say he is, he's really no slouch, he gets his hands on the ball the thing is he just has bad hands IMO, I've seen more than a few drops. All that said, it would not surprise me if he went to Titans, he seems like a perfect fit for LeBeau's defense he could be used as a bigger Polamalu, it might be a long shot for them to take a DB #1 overall but he seems like a great fit.
  16. I think Joe Schobert from Wisconsin could fit that bill, pretty light right now at 236lbs but a good athlete none the less, i think he'd be worth a flyer in the 4th.
  17. I think it's gonna depend on the combine to see if anyone jumps ahead of Collins because I really think Elliott could go in top 15. As for the lack of catches, that doesn't really bother me IMO we need a runner and that's what Collins is, Forsett and Buck Allen especially are good receivers we don't need another all around back we need a real old style RB and Collins kind of looks like that.
  18. I like the Collins pick a lot, but I'm not sure he makes it to the 4th, I've seen him rated as high as the 2nd. That said it'd be awesome if we could grab him in the 4th.
  19. Just watched some tape on Justin Simmons from BC, looks pretty good with decent deep coverage good ball skills and a solid tackler. On another note his teammate Steven Daniels jumped out quite a bit when I was watching Simmons, could be another guy we target.
  20. College career wise they seem to be very different players IMO.
  21. I wouldn't really care if we drafted Ramsey, he's not my favorite but he'd help us I guess. But I'm still not sure he's a Ravens type pick, it seems we usually go for the more technically sound guys rather than the high ceiling Athletes. And with Webb moving to safety I question what position Ramsey would play this year.
  22. I like them both a lot, but right now it seems like Thomas has that possibility To be average to me. Maybe it's cause he's not too flashy with athleticism or maybe cause that offense is not very receiver friendly, I'd be happy with either in second round though even with my concerns.
  23. The fact that we threw for 4200 yards with 4 different QBs makes me think we can do very well with just a 2nd or 3rd round receiver. We seem to be finally developing wide outs with Aiken doing well and Butler looking okay with limited snaps, we have a good looking future on offense, I think Maxx could turn into an elite TE and Gillmore has already shown some value, if BP pans out we are looking at a very good offense, I think we should use this draft to build the defense, unless top offensive talents fall to the second or third round.
  24. True but if we let him go, we have an even bigger question mark at receiver and I didn't even think that was possible. If you ask me we have no choice, if Aiken goes we'll be relying on a 37 year old guy coming off injury a guy who has literally no game experience at all, possibly 1 or more rookies and or a veteran that's probably less reliable than a rookie.
  25. Only problem is all of the coaches are former players/coaches not active coaches like the senior bowl, so his only chance of getting a job Is probably by word of mouth.
