  1. It would be a force to run against but teams would catch on and start throwing against our base defense and I'm not sure they could generate much pressure with Jernigan and canty playing the edge.
  2. Yea I feel like he'll end up being like Scott Chandler not spectacular but solid.
  3. It's now time for upshaw to step up, I hope pees gives him chances to rush the passer see if he can handle it in a full time role. Also Jernigan coming back is huge now because he'll likely be our second best pass rusher.
  4. I like Crockett a lot but he really doesn't seem to have strong hands (he has good soft hands) I probably would have put Maxx out there for that final play today.
  5. Can't help but think Suggs might retire, it seemed like the way he was talking in the offseason this could be his last year anyway.
  6. Can someone explain to me how that's not faceguarding? These refs were awful with the coverage calls
  7. Offense looks like 2013 but still these posts people are making are just jokes, trestman has had 3 quarters and is already being chastised. Smh.
  8. It looks like we're running an anemic version of kubiaks offense, we should start spreading it out wide and let camp work the short routes.
  9. Man I like Carl Davis a lot but I also kinda wish we traded up for Lockett, 57 yard td punt return just now against the Rams.
  10. Not sure if this is really the place to ask but it's the only thread that has anything to do with who to start, I'm a little conflicted on my flex this week I have AJ green and Amari Cooper locked in as starters and its between Allen Robinson and Devante Adams for my flex it's a 1 point per reception league, my thought is GB is obviously more efficient offense but Adams is still just a number 2 while the jags have injuries to Lee and J Thomas that could result in Robinson being force fed the ball. Thoughts?
  11. This is gonna be a tough game, I'm not sure if kubiak completely implemented his offense or if he's gonna let manning do his thing, if its kubiaks offense the key is gonna be stopping the run game and shutting down DT cause kubes loves to force feed his number 1 receivers. On the offensive side we have to get the ball out quick and hope Monroe can handle miller and ware, I feel forsett is gonna have a ton of catches this game, I don't see our wide outs being very effective against their secondary.
  12. I like Crockett a lot this year, I think Maxx will eventually take his job (probably next year) Crockett may not set the world on fire but I think he'll be rock solid not to mention on that TD against the skins that was called back looked very Gronk-like.
  13. I don't think Seattle bought their SBs they traded for Harvin and Lynch and had a few FA like Avril but other than that they had a ton of home grown talent, they had arguably one of the best 3-4 year runs in the last 2 decades where they found talent in every round of the draft, it's no easy task finding a franchise QB in the third round or one of the games top corners in the fifth.
  14. Drafting and developing your own talent will always be the most effective way to win, just look at the perennially good teams, the packer and the Ravens Rarely make big FA acquisitions, Ozzie only gives up draft picks for a solid player usually only when it's a serious need and I don't think he'd ever give up a first rounder. You also have to remember these blockbuster trades can most times be as risky as drafting a player, sometimes even worse, look at the Percy harvin trade.
  15. I'm not sure if this warrants a new thread but it seems like the other one was nothing but people bashing, and I'll admit I was one of them, but after cooling down a bit I decided to re-review Perriman and go re-watch some tape of him and here's what I saw: The Good: A++ Size/speed (obviously). I was quick to say his hands were awful and he had some bad drops but I believe his hands are already more developed than Torrey smith's he already catches the ball with his hands which is more than Torrey did coming out. And while his routes need work(not much worse than jaelen strong) he still runs a more complex route tree than Devin smith. He's is more physical than Torrey is he can go up and get it and make tough catches at times. Another note would be his QB last year was awful, he under threw him on multiple occasions. We saw a run on wideouts in the late first round and I believe it's going to carry over into the second round leaving any chance to get a WR in the second very slim if we didn't take perriman. All in all I was quick to label Perriman, mostly due to the fact I believed there were better players on the board but that's just my opinion and I fully trust Ozzie even with his wideout track record, I'm gonna hold anymore bad judgement agaisnst Perriman until I see him play and I urge others to do the same, he needs quite a bit of work but if our staff can develop him he has #1 potential, he's not just a Torrey smith clone.
  16. Yea I know, as far as I'm concerned anything not relayed by the Ravens or Harbs himself is pure speculation, and at this point I don't care about the timeline I'd just like to know what's actually happening to him, instead of hearing 5 different stories about his knee.
  17. Jamison hensly posted that if it was a PCL the timeline would be October, it seems like pure speculation but people are taking it as fact.
  18. I thought a doctor came out and said his OS as a teenager wouldn't affect him at all as an adult? The only injury news that has come out is speculation it seems, I don't remember anyone from the organization ever naming the injury anything other than the bruise it was when he first got it. It's very frustrating seeing every reporter on Twitter saying it's something different when we haven't gotten a clear answer from Harbs, or anyone in the organization for that matter.
  19. Im in the same boat pretty much the injuring is concerning, but I think they are being cryptic to throw off opponents I mean he's our only speedy wide receiver, 4.24 speed is something you have to gameplay for so when Harbs says he could go week one that's just one more thing for the Broncos to prepare for. even if he has no chance to play.
  20. I created this thread a few days after the draft it wasn't my impressions of him as a pro, rather my impressions of him coming out of college, I didn't like was I saw at first but then I went back watched more tape and saw a lot of potential, thus a second impression.
  21. A year or two ago I'd say let him drop to his college weight and put him at SS, but he hasn't looked nearly as good in coverage as he was pegged coming out. I like the idea of using him as a sub package blitz linebacker I posted something similar a while back, but pees would have to get very creative to make it work, maybe some zone blitzes? Drop a lineman into coverage and let Arthur use his speed on the inside and outside.
  22. I wouldn't mind picking him up, the thing that scares me though is that he couldn't produce in almost the same exact offense he'd be playing here
  23. It's amazing how teams are just throwing away draft picks, I don't ever remember it being this bad.
  24. I wouldn't mind giving Carter a look I didn't think he had much of a chance in Indy considering he had at least 5 established Wr/TE's ahead of him, and from what I remember Ravens were one of the teams he wanted to go to, I'd give him a shot but not at the expense of Waller or marlon.
