  1. Our track record with backup QBs doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I like our ability to stop Gurley though but I still don't see a bunch of turnovers for us.
  2. Well if playing time really helps much J thomas injury could make an argument for McPhee to be worth more In The comp department. Either way the formula they have is so confusing I just hope we can get good enough picks to have ammo to move around and go get a guy we really like.
  3. true didn't really think about that. I could be mistaken but I thought I read somewhere since revis was on a 2nd year option contract he counted as a cut rather than a free agent. Also is there a cap rule to the amount of comp picks allowed in certain rounds? Or do they just try to limit it?
  4. Paul Kruger got us a 3rd round comp pick I don't think it's out of the question for McPhee to get us another. Here's how they stack up Kruger contract 5 years 40 mil started all 16 games and had 4.5 sacks McPhee contract 5 years 39 mil played and started 8 games so far with 5 sacks I wouldn't be too shocked if we got a 3rd for Torrey either, he got a 40mil contract and if the comp pick formula takes into account how bad the team at that specific position was without the player the next year then I'd say we deserve a 3rd for him.
  5. Are people suggesting this just based on a familiar name? He would make our defense even worse.
  6. Yep, now he's gone lol
  7. Desmond kings stats have definitely caught my eye, but I can't find any 2015 tape on him. All those ints made me think move him to safety, he looked like a pretty good run defender in 2014.
  8. Sean Payton just came out and said he hasn't been fired.
  9. if we could get him on day 3 thats a no brainer, heck he's so athletic we could just use him as a slot receiver. Or a revolutionary new quad tight end offense lol.
  10. I was so high on brooks in the draft, I actually had him mocked to us in the second and was very happy when we got him in the third, I don't how he's playing in practice but our season is over why not give him Some significant play time and see what we have. I mean what's the worst that could happen? We lose a game by more than 8 points?
  11. I like him alot if we weren't so stacked at TE I'd be happy to have him, and I don't think he's that bad of a blocker he's just a little light for the TE position needs to bulk up a bit. And I'm kinda expecting him to have a great combine and go somewhere in the second round.
  12. VH3 is my favorite, but bosa would seem like the logical pick if he was there. Ramsey I like a lot but I would probably take those 2 ahead of him. but it's my opinion that the biggest difference maker on defense would be a new DC.
  13. I wasn't really a fan of Jordan and to be honest I despised armstead as a first round prospect. I think Buckner is 10x better than Armstead, if Buckner has a decent combine (which I suspect he will) I see him as a top 15 lock.
  14. I haven't seen it in the 2015 tape I've watched of him, he has 7 sacks already this year which is more than he had all of last season if I'm not mistaken, he is also PFFs top rated interior defender(for what that's worth) with a ton of QB pressures. Although he didn't do great against Conklin this year.
  15. I see Ramsey as more of a versatile FS like Mathieu, I've yet to see the deep roaming ability of an Earl Thomas but they haven't really asked him to be that guy at FSU, he certainly has the speed to cover the whole field and he'd definitely add athleticism to our otherwise slow and decrepit secondary, when it comes down to it I'd be happy if we drafted him but there's still a few more guys I like better. (VH3 Bosa Mainly)
  16. He's one of my favorite players this year, it's not really a position of need but he looks like a beast. I really think he compares to Watt (coming out of college of course) I would not be disappointed if we picked him up.
  17. Charles has competition for the best DB with Rod Woodson and Ronnie Lott, but IMO Reed is the best true safety to ever play, hands down no competition.
  18. I was thinking the same thing, every time I watch him I see him play he looks like a bigger maybe even more athletic Tyran Mathieu. I can understand the other comparisons with bigger guys like Woodson but I've yet to see that elite ballhawking ability Woodson has.
  19. I like the draft, I don't think it's likely that Boyd falls to the 2nd but I don't think he'll go as high as some people see him going. The DUI is a concern and he is having a down year so far only averaging 9.2 yards a catch if he fell into the mid 20s I'd try to move up for him.
  20. If we didn't grab a pass rusher in the first 2 rounds I like Noah spence a lot, I like what I saw from his old Ohio tape, had some issues with party drugs at Ohio and was arrested for public intoxication after transferring to EKU so he has some red flags, but if he made it to the 3rd round I'd take a chance on him. As far as what I saw on tape he's a rocket off the line, rushes kinda recklessly which leads to him running himself out of the play sometimes, and got pushed off the line in the run game more than a few times, but he would add much needed athleticism to our defense.
  21. but what if he ended up being our OC again? I don't think I could deal with that.
  22. A few of my favorite mid to late rounds guys are C Evan Boehm, G Sebastian Tretola and OT Le'Raven Clark, all of them are probably better fit for a power run scheme, but it seems trestman still doesn't know as much about a zone scheme as Kubes did and I think we'd be better off switching to a power scheme picking up a good RB and continue building the O-line and go back to leaning on a consistent run game rather than asking joe to throw to practice squad receivers 40+ times a game.
  23. I'm a fan of Ramsey and Hargreaves, I still like VH a bit better though I mean look at the Broncos right now they have 3 good corners and an above average safety in Darian Stewart, and a strong safety with below average coverage skills and they are the best defense in the league by a wide margin. Plus even if we or any other team did draft Ramsey who says they are gonna put him back at safety? They could leave him at corner and he could end up struggling.
  24. Luck is all that team has going for it. I'm pretty sure luck could walk up to Irsay and say "fire grigson let me make the picks" and he would probably let him. And he would probably pick less Stanford players than grigson...
  25. Well for one he has a horrible GM who would give him 25 skill position players while his offensive line is just awful. Then maybe a new coordinator whose better suited in the NFL and can help luck cut down on the interceptions, develop a consistent running game etc. but he'll more than likely have a new GM,head coach and OC next year so I think he could have a big bounce back year if they get the right HC.
