During a interview today Elam sId he lost about 5% of body fat and has gotten leaner and faster. Was his weight or speed ever the issue? I thought it was his tackling and coverage.

Now that the draft is over and most of the value UFA have been signed what do you expect for the Ravens this year?

And the teams on our schedule will finally see a healthy Ravens secondary with a ferocious pass rush.

Doubt it, when is our secondary EVER healthy? Someone's always injured. Pretty much a garentee that Webb or Jimmy won't make it through the season.

manning has new receivers.i would rather have manning early before he gets in rythum with this receivers.

I might have to agree, not to mention Mannings current status, dude was pondering retirement a month ago and he was relatively quiet for of last season. Should be an interesting game.

Looks like they've finally accepted us.

Since our defense probably won't be an issue(Will Hill, Kendrick, Webb on the field T once will be amazing) this will come down to our offense, I trust Joe and the O-line but just about everyone else will be a big problem, we're missing a good possession receiver and a speedster, and our running back and tight end depth is suspect at best.

While our defense should be able to restrain Manning and stop the run, our offense will be an issue.

Based on how the team is now do who would be the win the bronco game?

Wait, Rashaan got hurt too? Man, our secondary was snake bitten last year. And the year before it was the WRs. We'd have beaten the Pats if we could have kept half those guys healthy.

Jimmy and Terrence Brooks would've changed the game completely. Brooks was probably our second best safety and Jimmy would've shut down Edelman.

Waste. We have enough depth, he's a practice squad player at best.

Rumors are that the deal gives Shaub $3 million this year, if this is true Ozzie's made a terrible signing.

I predict the Ravens will continue to do nothing when they should be using their surplus of picks for trades or resigning people.

I have to apologize too. I was calling for this mans job. I was screaming at the TV for him to be fired. He turned it around. We went from having one of the worst O-lines in NFL history to one of the best in the league.

 

I think we could have drafted a safety, but pretty sure Oz fears pulling that trigger due to the risk of backfire.

This years safety class is worse than the 2012 class. No one worth picking.

I like the signing, Texan fans seem saddened by the news, that's a good sign. With this signing The ravens organization has completely giving up on Elam. He'll be the backup going into the season, once Brooks comes back he'll probably be ahead of Elam due to his versatility and ability to not fail at tackling. Good move, can't wait for the next.

Ron Parker at free safety+Will Hill at SS=Super bowl.

Just went through some footage and stats, This Ron Parker guy is a perfect fit for us. Good CB and a good safety. He'll stabilize the secondary and if Webb or Jimmy get injuried again we can move him to corner and put Brooks back at safety. Perfect player for us.

How bout This Ron Parker guy,

Well, I wouldn't want him in centerfield.

People need to get that FS and SS have the same responsibilities, generally speaking. ONLY real difference is that FS plays centerfield more.

FS's are better in coverage and used almost exclusively in coverage, SS's cover and used to stop the run and cover TE's. SS's are a MLB/S mix.

Lamichael James would be perfect for our zone running scheme. He'd be another Forsett.
