With Will Hill and Kendrick as the starters and only 2 years left on Elam's contract I doubt he makes it back as starter. The talent in front of him is too good.
no kidding dude - it's sad when ngata leads your team in interceptions. We have to create more take aways- that's what really puts games away.
Dean Pees' defense is not designed to force turnovers! he's explained the D multiple times and we've seen it. Even when we had a good secondary we didn't get many picks excluding Reed. If you want more turnovers you don't want Pees.

Dean Pees' defense is not designed
Just play like we did last year minus the +10 yards of cushion our corners gave WR's.
Patriots
Steelers
Browns
Bengals
Colts
That's how I'd rank em, currently...
I miss the Tennessee rivalry, but whatcha gonna do... It will always be in the back of my mind when we play them but the hatred is gone.
Browns a such a sorry team I have NO hard feelings toward them whatsoever.
It seems like even the players don't care about the rivalry, seems like only Titan fans care about us. Remember two hard nose football teams, stealing players, breaking streaks, fights, all that. Then all of a sudden it just stopped. Hopfuly Mariota can change things. Anyone else kinda sad about this?
Webb goes down forcing Melvin to play. The improved melvin then keeps the #2 cornerspot and Webb is traded.
It is hard to accuratly predict how a season is going to turn out for any team. At the risk of sounding like a total homer I have always thought the Ravens were a top tier team after J.Flacco was drafted and we saw what he did the first season. We have never been a media favorite but since he has been here we have made the playoffs every year except 1. We all know when you get a ticket to play in the post season you have a shot at winning it all. Just my opinion but I think the AFC north is the toughest division in the NFL.
Bengals might've taken a step back, I can't remember ANYONE they drafted except for a LT with back problems. Plus they still have Dalton at QB.
Yes, namely New England, Denver, Seattle and Green Bay. All of which are consensus "top tier teams" (except for possibly Manning's declining ability).
Not New England. The patriots have no secondary or running game against us,(Blunt only got 4 yards against us in playoffs) this would force Tom to throw the ball to average WR's in arguably one of the best secondary's in the league. Joe could carve up their defense. I'd bet on that game.
It's obvious that the offense and defense has gotten MAJOR boasts this offseason. When you compare our team to the other top teams(Patriots,Seahawks,Broncos,Colts,Packers and Cardinals) I think we can beat all of them. The defense(The Birdcage) is now a top run stuffing unit and should be a top secondary unit and The offense should be elite with the receiver/tight ends and running game.
Edit:
Is there a team that outclasses us?
How do you view the schedule now?
Webb better be ready to play on the outside for the whole game or Melvin will be the #2 corner by week.
the first part of your post is very accurate. he is not that good.
He's 28, it might be two late to coach him up. He's great in the slot and that's all we need.
Butler has ONE play and they think he can be their #1They have the players there to cover the slot. Butler and Ryan on the outside is gutsy.
Is there a single weakness on this team any more?
High value Injury probability
I still wonder, why the Pats cut him. They really could use more depth at that position. Is it just the money?
Apparently they didn't want to pay him more than They valued him at. They were in talks to resign him(just like how we did with Chris Canty) but we stole him.
Excellent Slot corner but from what I hear he should never play outside
He should ONLY play in the slot.
Great signing, We might be in a pardicament though. Kyle should ONLY play slot, if he does that the outside will be played by Smith and Webb, Webb didn't exactly do good playing outside last season, especially we went against the steelers(regular season and playoffs).
2016 Super bowl champions
Kapron Lewis-Moore will be huge, too. Just watch.
Who? He won't make it to the regular season and he wasn't that good in college.
I was thinking Steve Smith, Jah Reid and Chris Canty could be on their way out. Admittedly, two quality vets but we have a lot of quality young players. Lots of time to speculate.
No way Steve Smith gets cut.
Kyle Arrington, 28, has been the Patriots' top slot cornerback for the past five seasons. His value was on display in January's AFC Championship Game, when he held Colts star T.Y. Hilton to one catch for 36 yards in a blowout win. Arrington finished 36th out of 108 qualified corners in Pro Football Focus' ratings. In 2011, he led the NFL with seven interceptions.
We need to pick him up fast, he's prettty cheap.
So if he's so bad why has Harbaugh been praising him and why haven't we traded him yet?
ouch
This doesn't make me feel good..the breakdown is comprehensive.
His movement and route running is atrocious..he isn't fluid at all and doesn't know how to position himself between the Cb and the ball
Why does this scream bust to me now..sometimes some players just have it..im ignoring the drops..im talking about movement and fluidity..not a track run..
he doesn't have it..thats what kevin white and parker have over him..cooper obviously is a different class of route running but there is no intelligence to perrimans runs..
So he's a bust and we should trade him now?

With this new rule enacted I think kickers legs are gonna be PRETTY tired. Think back to the lions game, Can to imagine if Tucker had to do 33 yard extra points as well as the 7 field goals, kickoffs AND the 61 yarder?! We would of lost he game, no one can kick that much and Long. Tucker's a beast but I think we should have someone who can handle kickoffs while Tucker rests his leg.
