It would be nice to rely on injuries as an excuse for us this year but in reality our season was done long before we lost Flacco, Forsett, and even Steve Smith.
So the "internet shows mad respect" and then over majority of the quotes are from Baltimore ravens beat writers or former players including a tweet from the author herself. Lol.
And we should believe that this issue isn't long term..... why exactly? He was supposed to be playing by the end of training camp so don't judge me if I'm a bit skeptical about this prognosis
I wasn't aware that there were Ravens fans that supported him. Ice up son!
Look even if we won this game it would've just been a Band-Aid. It would have just masked the problems that has faced our team all year which are:
1) No receivers (yes, this game was better than previous games and Chris Givens will hopefully develop into a deep threat but their offense is very sporadic right now. They can have good drives and then other drives when no receivers are able to get open at all)
2) Very average secondary and linebackers (talented players but they're not meshing well this year for whatever reason)
3) Bad luck
Yes, this game our pass rush was better and Kamar Aiken showed up for a few plays but even if we beat the Jaguars we weren't going to win 8 straight. Hopefully this is just a fluky year and next year when Smith (hopefully), Suggs (hopefully) and Perriman (hopefully) all return as well as a top 10 draft pick we we will come back strong!
If you watch the routes Marlon runs it's usually 1 yard hitches or crossing patterns. Those are for speed guys. Give him some plays where he can use his height and get his confidence back.
That's a good point. I'm sure the coaches haven't noticed that Marlon isn't a speed guy by now. On a serious note: Marlon Brown should not be playing in the NFL right.
The first one with the Lion King was genius
If Crockett Gilmore can stay healthy he can be every bit as good as Pitta if not better.
I am extremely confident that Steve Smith will return. He's going to use his time off now as a semi-retirement to spend with his wife and kids and he'll come back strong next year. Let's help send him off with a ring!

I don't care how old I am. Any reference to Super Mario will make me smile. Good job this week Ben!
I feel bad for the writers on this website. Now that we suck (hopefully only for this year) it must be very difficult to find things to write about. Besides for ground-breaking news like Breshad Perriman is probably in good spirits.
The very bottom of the wide receiver barrel has officially been scraped

It's the weirdest thing: Just the other day I was wondering how Breshad's Perriman spirits were doing! This guy is becoming a joke.He needs to get on the field and play.
I'm so happy that he's in good spirits! This guy needs to get on the field and play already.
For those of you who are saying that Trestman is way worse than Kubiak and should go - let's think of all the differences between last year and this year:
1) Their offensive line was amazing last year and is terrible this year. And they're not worse schematically, they're just not playing as well
2) How would Kubiak have fared without Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones (and Steve Smith for some games) last year. Kamar Aiken is a #3 receiver being asked to play #1 at times and Marlon Brown shouldn't be in the league
3) Because none of their receivers get separation - defenses are able to load up against the run
4) Our defense has been beyond terrible this year which exposes our offenses' biggest flaw - needing to throw the ball with a terrible receiving unit that can't get open. We have NO deep threat at all (hopefully Chris Givens will turn into one)
Kubiak might indeed be a better offensive coordinator but even if we had him this year there's no guarantee that we would be playing at a high level on offense. Food for thought.
You guys need to relax. It's just football and we'll be back next year. This one was alright but the Star Wars one was funny.
Breshad Perriman though......
I never posted anything like that. Just responded to your quote.
I apologize budman. You are correct - I thought you were the person who's post I initially responded to (probably not the best idea for me to comment on these boards while at work:). And your prior post makes a lot of sense to me as well
I do not in any way blame the Refs for our loss, however on the interception a flag should have been thrown for pass interference because as you can clearly see, Gilmore was shoved in the back and that allowed Jefferson to make that catch. Had he not been pushed and kept his direction, Gilmore catches that for a Touchdown to tie the game. Still does not mean that we would have won, but we could have tied the game at that point.
I believe your original post was "They can apologize all they want but they still cost us this game." To me that sounds like blaming the refs for why we lost.
I'm not pointing out that one particular play, during the entire game there were bogus calls even the commentators were acknowledging it. So I think its fair for me to say the they had a part in the games outcome.
1) You were commenting on an article in which they were apologizing for one specific play in the fourth quarter - not the entire game.
2) Come on stop blaming the refs for why we lost. Do you blame the refs for Tony Jefferson picking off Joe Flacco's pass? Bottom line is we had multiple opportunities to win the game and we didn't. That's been the theme of our season.
They can apologize all they want but they still cost us this game.
No, changing a call from a second and 4 to a first and 15 in the first quarter did not cost us the game. This is the call that they were apologizing for.
I'm at peace with this season. Injuries and insufficient depth have sunk us. Hopefully we'll get a top ten pick and bounce back next year. We have been a quality organization for a long time and this is merely a blip on the radar. However - I have just one question from this season that really bothers me: What in the world is going on with Breshad Perriman?

Who cares about this he said/she said game. One of the most depressing parts about this season is that from now until next year the content of this website is going to be relegated to these TMZ-style pieces instead of actual content. On a completely different point, my prayers go out to Ellison James
