  1. I'm sorry but am I the only one that doesn't understand how the Browns-Eagles trade impacts the Ravens? The Browns were going to draft a QB anyway, just like the Eagles most likely will now. What changed? I would add that if anything there's a slight chance the second pick won't be a QB because it is a little suspicious that the Eagles traded so much and they weren't even sure which QB they would be getting. There exists an outside possibility that they are interested in drafting another position (LT perhaps now that the Titans have traded out or maybe even Jalen Ramsey) and that is why they traded up.
  2. I guarantee you that, barring major injuries, there is no way that Kamar Aiken puts up better numbers next year than this previous year. Signing him to a long-term contract now is dumb when his value is at an all time high because of his production. If Aiken puts up better numbers then that means either we had major injuries again or Breshad Perriman is a bust.
  3. Justin Tucker just seems like a good dude. He is my favorite Raven.
  4. I was terrified that we were going to win based on how the first half was going. I think Jeremy Butler is more talented than Kamar Aiken and should be our slot receiver. If Smith comes back healthy (And Perriman), I believe that it should Smith, Perriman, Butler, and Aiken. That isn't going to happen because Aiken is a more proven receiver (especially after this season). But Jeremy Butler looks more polished in his routes and evasive ability.
  5. Thank you Garrett Downing (I was so impressed that I scrolled up to check your name)! This is the first honest assessment of Kamar Aiken that I have seen on this site. "He has proven himself to a viable starter over the course of the season" - that is an excellent way of putting it. None of this "How come people don't think that he's a legitimate #1 WR"? Kamar has improved each game and is now a solid #3 WR (with possible #2 WR potential).
  6. Beating the Steelers was worth it but there's no way you can make a case that beating the Bengals is worth it especially considering we're having so many backups playing and A.J. McCarron is starting for them. A win really proves nothing for next year when it will seem like a completely different team is playing (Flacco, Smith, Perriman, Suggs etc etc).
  7. You guys are hilarious. All year it's been "Ben Rosen sucks" "He's not funny" "Why are they still having these funny pages?" and now after the Ravens sweep the Steelers it's all "Hey's he's not so bad" and "I love this one that he did". Happy New Years!
  8. I have faith in next year's offense in the hands of Marc Trestman. He has done a really good job with the injuries this year. Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken, and Jeremy Butler as our possession/slot receivers with Breshad Perriman (assuming his knee injury is healthy by next year;) and Chris Givens as our speed threat represents a good diversity of skill-sets. This is in addition to Buck Allen (Ray Rice 2.0) and Forsett. These are good weapons for Trestman to get creative with.
  9. I can see why Mallett was a projected first round talent coming out of college. The dude has some serious zip on his throws. That pass to Givens was insane.
  10. And this opinion is based off what exactly? He hasn't done anything for two years. With all of our injuries on offense this year, now would be the perfect time for him to take advantage of the situation. He has not. Kamar Aiken has risen to the challenge and has improved each week. Marlon Brown has not.
  11. Lol. Which statement is more accurate - It might be harder to stop Antonio Brown because: 1) Will Davis is on the IR or 2) Ben Roethlisberger wasn't the QB for that game, In other news John Eisenberg is the man with his thoughtful analysis of the Ravens team each week.
  12. The fact that this is reported as a story makes me embarrassed to be a sports fans. Are we really extolling the virtues of some people for helping an elderly woman who has mini-strokes because they are fans of different sports teams? As if they would be completely justified to not offer to help (especially when they were qualified to do so) because they are Ravens fans and she is a Steelers fan? Why was everybody in the family "so stunned" that they offered to help an elderly lady? This is beyond pathetic.
  13. I think Marlon Brown hasn't been added to the IR yet because "sucking" is not an eligible injury
  14. I believe that Jeremy Butler is the best receiving talent on our (active) roster
  15. You should re-read my post. I was not disparaging Kamar Aiken's receiving ability. I said that I believe he would make an excellent #3 WR for the Ravens. He has improved tremendously as a receiver this year. My post was directed at the author who appeared "surprised" that people weren't considering him to be a legitimate #1 WR.
  16. This author needs to stop pretending that Kamar Aiken really has potential to be a #1 WR. She writes with surprise and outrage that Aiken isn't universally considered a #1 WR. She writes "The thinking seems to be" for why he's not considered a #1 WR - as if it's hard for us to comprehend why people wouldn't say that he's a real #1 WR. Just stop it - please. In reality, Kamar Aiken would make a really good 3rd WR for this team. Let's not forget that even on his career day - he still needed that "lucky" (you know what I mean) Hail Mary TD catch to crack 100 yards. Take that away and he has 80 yards on his career day. Keep in mind this is with him being the primary target for our team. Some other thoughts about our receiving core: I really like Jeremy Butler, and Daniel Brown. And please - for my sanity - can we just cut Marlon Brown already?

  18. I'm sorry but that is such a ludicrous comment. The Ravens are a bad team in large part due to the injuries to their high-prices players: Flacco, Steve Smith, Justin Forsett, Terrell Suggs etc etc. That's where the money has been spent. It's not like they have money committed to bad players.
  19. Well it looks like Tyrese from the Walking Dead is now playing tight end for us
  20. Nick Boyle how could you do this to us?!?!?!?! I'm officially giving up hope that we can play in this years Superbowl.
  21. Matt Schaub looks so depressed in that picture above lol
  22. Note to self: Never insult Brian Billick.
  23. Again, the irony is humorous. The author again references Timmy Jernigan knocking out quarterbacks in back to back weeks in a positive fashion. Which is all fine and good. But you now lose credibility if you ever start taking up the position of "the health of the players in the NFL is of the utmost importance". The fact that Timmy Jernigan injured the opposing quarterbacks is not a positive thing. The sacks - yes. The injuries - no.
  24. The goal isn't for the hit to be legal; the goal is to minimize injuries. It's in the caption underneath the headline: "Jernigan knocks out 3rd QB" which further illustrates this point. Jernigan performed a legal sack and should be commended for it. But don't (admittedly it's a subtle glorification) glorify that Jernigan just broke another player's collar-bone. You (the media) can't be sorry about the noble cause "concussions and the importance of avoiding injuries" and then glorify Jernigan for breaking another player's collar-bone in the same breath. It's a double standard.
  25. Football shows us how funny people are. On the one hand we have all these concussion protocols and emphasize against dangerous collisions. Fans and media all "agree" how important this is. On the flip side the media is celebrating (okay "acknowledging in a non-negative fashion") that it was Timmy Jernigans third QB that he's knocked out and making sure to emphasize that "don't worry, it was a legal hit". Which is it going to be people? As long as it's not illegal we should feel happy that Timmy Jernigan broke Josh Mccowns collar bone? (and yes I saw the tweet that stated that "he's not celebrating" but come on there is some glorification going on.) Let's be real for a moment
