Imagine a team like Seattle, Oakland, or NY gets desperate for a player and we demand a second and we get it. Then a team like SF or Jax wants to get back into the first for a QB or some other valuable player and we swap spots and pick up their third, which is essentially a second to us most years.
We would then have three picks in the second and third and we could do some serious damage. I mean I could list a ton of guys that could go anywhere from 16 to the middle of the second For the heck of it, here we go: Tim Williams, Haason Reddick, Cam Robinson, Gareon Conley, Forrest Lamp, Charles Harris, Kevin King, Chidobe Awuzie, Dan Feeney, Evan Engram, Sidney Jones, Talk McKinley, etc.
2 hours ago, rossihunter2 said:I think he meant an additional 2nd so we get their 2nd rounder, an additional 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder
Ya that's what I meant lol I should have stated that a little more clearly.
It just blows my mind that after the top half, there are no true locks going in the second half of the first all the way through the second
The additions won't necessarily have the biggest effect on our record. I think play calling and chemistry will have the biggest effect along with which units we bolster in the draft.
If Flacco gets his lazy self out on the field this summer with his boys, we will see a lot better in game performances.
If Ozzie pulls out his wand and takes a couple of build blocks early, such as Barnett, Tim Williams, M.Williams, Dan Feeney, Forrest Lamp, etc., we will have a talented unit.
Surprising Guys that I'm picking off the table and leaving are:
Jonathan Allen, he could be a beast and I like his talent, but I'm taking a wild guess he isn't strong enough inside and isn't fast enough outside making him a wash.
Marshon Lattimore will be a Jimmy Smith like talent. Insanely talented when he plays but will be habitually injured because he didn't drink enough milk and eat his Wheaties as a kid.
Taco Charlton, he just isn't that impressive! He isn't a technician nor a physical freak, he will struggle in the NFL, especially in a 3-4.
Players who I'm not necessarily pounding the table for, but think will be a mix of pro bowl surprises and guys we have a feeling will be good...
Ironically, Deshaun Watson if he ends up on the right team, obviously not Cleveland or the Jets.
John Ross, I think he becomes a pro bowl return specialist and lights it up with splash plays on offense.
Forrest Lamp, I think he will be most refined I lineman in the draft, especially in pass pro, but Feeney will be a bull dozer.
Gareon Conley is a surprisingly talented second corner on a playoff team like Oakland or Detroit.
Desmond King, no need to explain
TJ Watt, double digit sack artist by year two
Jabrill Peppers, becomes a honey badger like talent
Realistically, I think Ozzie trades down twice early, that's unless a top 10-15 guy is there and ready to go at 16 like Barnett, Williams, Davis, Foster, etc.
I mean after top 15, there really is no telling where anyone has the next batch of players. This is a very unique draft. Dare I say I would trade completely out of the first if we got an additional second and third.
Taco seems like that kinda pick that we take that everyone hates. Could be a great pick if he isn't a one year wonder ND could adapt to the 3-4 OLB.
I think there are three players I am praying for, which are Tim Williams, Kevin King or Feeney, but I have Feeney topping that list.
I would love Sherman, but after signing Jefferson there is no way we spend top dollar on another guy in the secondary. We could spent a fraction of that on an up and coming CB in the draft

Lamp
Reddick
Davis/Ross (one or the other)
Tim Williams
Cook
Conley
McKinley
Someone will likely slide, of course.....I would guess Barnett or Foster...perhaps Howard.
Here is how I would order the aforementioned :
Reddick
McKinley
Lamp
Davis
Conley
Williams
Cook
I generally agree here. I like Reddick but also love Lamp too. The guy is bound to be an all-around talent with gifted ability to switch between guard and tackle effortlessly like Yanda does.
Woohoo 2000th post finally!😎
I'll cross my fingers lol I always go to a bar to watch the draft and they must think I'm crazy when I yell every time a great player I want goes before us. Likely will happen 10 times before 16 this year
Smoke screens for days lol Ravens fans know Williams is 100% on that radar, but the target is at 47.
3 minutes ago, RaineV1 said:It'd be funny if the Colts took him. They won't protect Luck by improving their lie, and instead just making a rookie running back run behind that same line.
Ya that's where I think they might have finally gotten smart and will have a cowboys like approach for the next few years and take o lineman. I could easily see them taking Lamp or Ramcyzk.
So much speculation at this point. Is the draft here yet? The top potential guys that could slip outside top 10, which we would need to trade up for are likely to be:
Barnett, Williams, Davis and maybe Foster.
If those guys are gone and the given sure fire top 10 guys like Adams, Hooker, Allen, are all gone, I fully expect us to trade back somewhere between 19-22. Adding another 3rd or 4th is crucial in Ozzie reloading our team and I bet it is killing him that we don't have more picks.
In contrast though, I'm predicting we trade up in the second like we have in the past for Maxx and Art Brown. I think potential sliders into the second could be Tim Williams, Lawson, Harris, Sid Jones, etc.
McCaffrey will likely go top 15. Then again he could slip and go after us, but I'm hoping the eagles take him or maybe even the colts. He projects as a dual threat kinda guy due to his great route running and hands. I don't think he would or should get more than 10-12 carries with a lot of split out snaps.

the titans will entirely be down to whether Adams is gone and whether they think mike Williams is a true number 1, the jets could go wr but they have a roster so devoid of talent that they might go bpa and it may well be a defensive guy given the strength of the draft, the chargers could go after Williams if foster, and both safeties are off the board, bengals should go after a wr because of how much they missed sanu and jones last year but knowing them they won't take one, not only do the bills need a number 2 receiver but with how injury-prone Watkins is they essentially need a number 1 guy, the browns just need playmakers although I still think they pick a qb, cardinals sneakily missed floyd and brown through a mix of injury and suspension last year and Larry fitz is on his way out so they are suddenly very thin at wr (to be fair they are also now incredibly thin on the back end as well and may even take a qb), the eagles have brought in a lot of wrs in free agency and I'd be surprised if mcaffrey and cook aren't serious considerations for them
so after all that I think I agree with you that the titans and bills are the most obvious threats - I'd add the bengals and cardinals as well (if they aren't going qb)
Yup you're right. No way Davis or Williams make it to us😂 even counting OJ Howard as an offensive pass catcher, there still seems to be no way.

Id be happy
I know he has a similar build to Tali and Dixon, but he is far more powerful. The guy does not get denied. Yes, we do need lightning to go with thunder, but Dixon is suspended early, west is a one cut and go runner and woodhead will be the crisp route runner that gets nice 1st down pickups on third and medium range.
Perine is far more powerful and smash mouth than any back on our roster.
4 minutes ago, rossihunter2 said:I still like him as a man corner from a pure coverage standpoint but the size could be an issue which is a shame because all he did at college was make plays
If I had to pick my favorite prospects throughout the entire process I would say I've always been a fan of King and Sid Jones.
I think with safety help over the top, he could be a real good corner. He has great route anticipation and is well aware when the ball is in the air.
I agree. I think Davis is much more likely to be there. The two key teams are the bills and Titans. Titans lack a true no 1 and bills need a legit no 2 receiver.
3 hours ago, trevorsteadman said:It seems you are as high on Charles Harris as I am. I think he is one of the most underrated guys in this draft and I think he ends up going higher than people say he is.
I like Harris as a designated rusher, but I hope he is only taken in a trade back. He is undisciplined in run duties and doesn't seem to have an overly impressive football IQ.
His first step and spin move are incredibly impressive though.
3 hours ago, trevorsteadman said:Desmond King will be the steal of the draft. If he really falls to the 3rd like a lot of people say he will, which I don't buy, that team will be very happy.
I think the draft process makes everyone over analyze things. King is a play maker and has a high IQ. He tackles well and is a leader. I wouldn't even be mad with him in the second. If he came out last year I guarantee he would have been top 20. I don't think he will be a man coverage shut down kinda player, but I think in the right system he could be an opportunistic stud.
I hear ya flex, you aren't bashing the talent, but rather you are practical in his fit here. Why do you think SSS was pissed at camp when Joe was chucking ugly passes. His weakness is hitting guys in stride.
Flacco is better at chucking it in the general vicinity and having his player making the play. In this scenario I think JuJu or Zay Jones would be better fits in the second.
I am hopeful that he falls into the third, but I would easily pull the trigger in the second if we could guarantee that we secure him. Achilles tears aren't nearly as devastating as they once were.
I mean, he might not attack the ball much because often he didn't have to. He left his man in the dust. If he were asked to run more slants and quick routes then I would be looking for those traits. He might not have a crazy catch radius like OBJ, but that doesn't necessarily make him less of a threat. Neither AB or Hilton have OBJ circus catches, but often they don't need to because they win at the line and get free in space.
I do agree that his for in the offense is not preferable to Williams or Davis but we need to face facts that both of them are likely gone.
I say that Perriman eclipses 1000 yards and scores 8 TDs.
Judon will develop and add 8 sacks.
Correa will win out the ILB role.
Boyle fills the juice role, but gets used even more.
Biggest break out comes from Young who notches 5 interceptions from the slot.
