There is virtually nothing left in O line free agency and we are short of RT, thin at center and guard position is becoming very important with Yanda's age. I'm almost sure one of the early picks would be offensive lineman.

I think we take offensive lineman within the third round. If there is a run on CB and edge early and no one like Foster, Williams or Davis fall to us, then I wouldn't be against taking Forest Lamp or Cam Robinson.

However, I do think we are much more likely to see Elflein taken in the second or Moton, Asiata, Orlosky, or Pocic taken in the third

  2. No championship team is ever a complete team, they all have weaknesses. If ILB was ours it wouldn't be the end of the world. We already resigned Williams and landed Jefferson who are both run stopping machines.

Our greatest weakness has been CB since 13' and I hope we take one inside the first two rounds. We have the chance to take Humphrey, Conley, White, Jones, Wilson, Tabor, Moreau, King, etc.

Even though I prefer CB though, if Foster is there, it is a no brainer. Only Lattimore possesses more value now. Despite the value difference In the positions, having an elite safety duo with an elite lb duo would make out defense scary. Look at the success that Mosley had with Orr and think what it would be like to have a player next to him that was even better. Look at the success of teams with great LB duos like Kuechly and Thomas Davis or Bowman and Willis a few years back. Heck even look at Trevathan and Marshall when the Broncos won the SB. If we land Foster say hello to Exotic blitz central and tremendous middle of the field coverage. Foster was the captain in the middle and can do it all. He is fast, physical, can lay the hammer, can diagnose plays, and he can cover well too. If he is there I am going to scream on draft day.

  3. I love Watt and I wouldn't be mad with him at 16 but Ozzie could get a lot craftier by trading back and still landing him with an additional early pick.

Post combine and Sidney Jones injury j predict that Lattimore, Conley and Humphrey will come off the board all in that order within the top 20.

Asiata is a beast though I would love getting that kind of brute strength back on the line

Ya idk about Humphrey falling that far. Height, weight, speed corners who play physical don't last long in the draft. It's also a reason why I see Conley and Moreau going earlier than people expect

Conley will be the surprise where I think he is second corner off the board. Moreau in any other class would go end of the first. He easily will go in the second though.

  5. Ya man everyone wants a great defense here but there is a smart way if going about it. I personally would prioritize secondary in the draft if Barnett is not there in the first.

In regards to Butler. NE has a tender on him and it is not worth giving up the 16th pick to get a CB that NE wasn't willing to give CB1 money to. NE didn't give Gilmore $65 million because they think Butler is a premier corner. If that was the case they would have gotten him a new deal and that would have been that.

We are in a prime spot to land a young, talented, cheap corner. Humphrey, Conley, Wilson, and White would all be super physical corners that we want. Their rookie deals will keep us in a good cap situation where Butler even if we did fork up the first to acquire him will want CB1 money. Easily a +$50 million deal. It is extremely hard to have multiple corners getting paid that kind of coin.

  6. I've jumped all over the place, but I was positive it would be Jones or Tim Williams.

I am getting a vibe though that we catch a break this year and catch a slider. I think it will be either Foster or Barnett. Mark my words it will be one of those two.

If they are gone though, I have a feeling Tim Williams or Marlon Humphrey will be the pick.

    I don't know...

If it was 15 years ago, having two stud Linebackers like Ray Lewis and Peter Boulware would've wrecked offenses.

However, it is a passing league and it seems Old-school LBs are going away with coverage WLB or Moneybackers like Mark Barron and Deone Buchanon.

Believe that all you want. We land Foster and this defense will be freaking scary.

Those smaller LBs get washed in the run game often or get caught out of position because they are asked to line up all over the place. Sometimes outmatched.

Mosley and Foster with Williams back and Jefferson here would wreak havoc. Clean lanes will often be paved into the backfield. Both can stuff the run, blitz well, make the play calls, sniff out screens, and cover very well. Foster is also a Bernard pollard like hitter as well. Laying the hammer will be a thing again

It would probably be the best combo of ILBs in Ravens history. As great as Ray was he never really got paired with an all star. You could even make an argument that Mosley and Orr were the best combination in Ravens' history, and Foster is definitely an upgrade over Orr.

I agree with this as far as neither one would drag down the other. Mosley has finally come into his own by boosting his ability in pass pro.

Mosley and Foster can both stuff the run. That are both great tacklers and play very well in coverage. CJ has extremely high football IQ and Foster seems to at least to some extent too. Whatever Foster might lack there he makes up for in closing speed and insane hit power. Orr was great in pass protection, but I think that Foster would put fear in players coming over the middle.

No news about Williams visiting other teams is good news. I think this signals that he will stay here in Baltimore, especially since he is refusing visits and he and his agents are trying as hard as they can to work a deal with Baltimore. With the effort Williams has put in to stay in Baltimore, Ozzie should be fired if they can't work it out. Hardly ever do we see a player not chase the dollars and Williams has shown, athletically, he is worth whatever we give him.

Amen, I agree. He is trying to stay loyal to his team

Wait. That was confusing. Not sure if you like Sidney Jones or not

My bad lol I do like him. Tears of joy. Many, including myself, want another corner so we can have a great secondary. Especially now that we are signing Jefferson. This is a deep CB class but the most well polished ones are going to be hard to get.

Lattimore, dare I say, will not make it outside of the top 10. After him most on this board like Jones or Wilson, which either I'd be fine with. But as far as drafting a plug and play corner, Sidney is the most polished in the class.

fantastic signing. hope they can keep webb on a reduced salary for insurance

If they can just get his cap number down by 1.5-2 million, he could be a very great disguised player that can help with the nickel or be a free roamer when needed. Webby still has value, maybe not what he is getting paid, but he still adds quality depth.

I think him and Weddle automatically become a top 3 Safety tandem in the league. With the possibility of being the best. That will only happen though if we draft a corner in the first.
During draft day, I'll have my eyes closed for the first 15 picks, just hoping to hear any name but Sidney Jones. I have faith in Jimmy staying on the field this year.
The RAVENS defense will be be back if we add Sidney Jones to Jefferson, Weddle, Tavon, Jimmy, and everything we already have. Or another awesome corner like Lattimore, Wilson, or Tabor.
The Woodhead signing doesn't make any sense, but things are looking up after signing Tony

I'm not sure I get the hate for Sidney Jones but I for one would cry if we got him because we would finally get the secondary we need. Lattimore is not making it to 16 and I wouldn't mind Wilson. Tabor is trash though. Unless he goes to Seattle where holding is a no call penalty.
