  1. Anyone want to bring Torrey home on a reduced contract?

Easily would for anywhere in the $4 million a year range. Having Perriman, Smith, Smith, Wallace and Pitta would give us a lot of weapons and speed.

  2. Lets all take a moment and laugh at the fact that Skip Bayless is lifting weights in a tank top on the First Take intro...

You and Skip should do a side by side flex off

  3. Where do people see Chris Moores' speed from? It says his 40 time was a normal 4.53

      RavensDieHard21

His acceleration when the ball is in the air is where he makes the play. Look at him burn past Apple who ran a 4.4 I think, could have been quicker.

  4. Ok I'm looking ahead already haha but oh my goodness, I'm dying for the Ravens to get Desmond King no matter what. Please tell me thats why we were rebuilding in this draft.

I was hoping he would come out next year, but he will likely be a top 20ish pick so hopefully he will be in the cards next year. He is physical and has great ball skills, plus ideal size. Would love him here.

What happens when those 'exciting defensive prospects' have to face us and they get completely washed out by Tunsil leading the way on our offensive line, whether it be at LG initially or LT. I get pretty freaking pumped too when I see our O-Line pancake and ragdoll defenders while our back are running up field for huge gains, or pass rushers are gased and Flacco has time to put the ball on the money to get 6 because he has time. My favorite play might have been in last year's playoff game vs the Steelers where KO de-cleated Harrison and he threaded the needle to Torrey. It is all a matter of perspective. I miss having a premier LT that rarely gets beat and doesn't give up false starts as presents lol

I am glad someone agrees lol I love the flashy players too, but I realize our QB cannot get lit up on a weekly basis, especially from the Blind side. The amount of money we are guaranteed to pay him makes it hard not to build a great line around him so he can stay healthy.

  7. Those trades prove, that in this QB market, the Ravens DID NOT overpay to keep Joe Flacco.

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

$20 million is the average pay of a viable winning QB, once that QB wins a SB, then they can fairly be paid slightly over, which Flacco is at $22 million a year.

@juanman7, Okay, I understand a lack of excitement because a defensive superstar or Elliot would be more appealing, but look at one major thing here, Joe Flacco's health and that being the key to our success the next 5 years. We all know what happened with James Hurst and Flacco's knee. Monroe should stay and Wagner will probably stay at RT, but Tunsil would go to LG until Monroe crumbles or we realize Tunsil would be a better option at LT and we insert Urschel at LG. Think of this, if we get a Bosa or jack, they will help our defemse big time and I want a dominant D too, but if Monroe goes down again and we have no solid option to protect Flacco's blind side, another critical injury could not only ruin our offensive output and QB play, but we would be on the hook for a long time with the amount of guaranteed money going to Flacco. His health should be our #1 priority. You cannot buy a sports car and have an insurance policy that only covers an electric scooter lmao. Plus a great line means a balanced offense and more points. If we took Tunsil I could see Ozzie going very defensive heavy the rest of the draft too.

Lmao it is a Trailer Park Boy reference that I can never pass up using. I just don't see anyway that Dallas doesn't take Bosa or Elliot and Jax passing on Jack after all of their private meetings.

  10. Hmm just thinking about this, which group post-draft sounds the most intimidating?:

Defensive line with Williams, Jernigan, Guy, Urban, and Buckner

Linebacker unit with Suggs, Dumervil, Z. Smith, Mosley, and Bosa or Myles Jack

Secondary with Jimmy Smith, Hargreaves, Wright, Arrington, Webb, and Weddle.

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

I know! That's what I am thinking. Williams is a bull dozer and occupies a lot of space and commands double teams, which allows Buckner and Jernigan to burst through the Guards and gain a ton of pressure often

    2. (See 1 other reply to this status update)

  11. No! Not Will Hill! Webby and Weddle it is I guess. Ball skills and coverage is more needed than hard hits and run support.

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

ahhh I hadn't seen the suspension yet! I just saw he was released! Some players have a lot of talent and would rather party and end up washed up and bankrupt at some point. I loved Hill's passion, but he lied to us, his family, and himself about staying clean.

  12. Interesting debate I had today, Is Steve Smith more of a lock to make it into Canton over the other two major WRs of his era, whom are Reggie Wayne and Andre Johnson? . I think so, and hope this year SSS goes out in a blaze of glory as he was before his injury. Undeniably a rare talent that will be hard to find again.

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

I agree there, too much animosity towards his character while off the field, instead of his crazy production on it. His numbers should speak for themselves, but I sorta see the case how selfish play and arrogance at time hurt his team just as much as his production on the field helped it. Harrison was just so consist with Manning and helped provide the foundation for the Colts to become very successful without the headaches.

  13. I think Weddle is the shot caller in the back we need, he fits in Reeds shoes and finishes a Raven !!!!

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

He is what this team needed. Since Reed left we have given up so many big plays down field and it had a lot to do with a lack of communication and players being out of place. You're exactly right, he will make the calls and make sure we're lined up right in the secondary. He might not be the biggest turnover machine, but he does make big plays, is a terrific tackler, which is another area that has killed us, and able to read the QB and understand where he wants to put the ball.

    2. (See 1 other reply to this status update)

  14. Well Dean, for all the "players aren't executing" stuff you pulled, this time it's on you. We have Jimmy, Webb, Hill, and now Weddle in our secondary. Williams, Mosley, Jernigan, Suggs & Doom up front. Ozzie just gave you one last chance. Either your system sucks and you go or you prove the defense has lacked the talent.

  15. Would anyone else love to see the Ravens introduce a new alternative jersey to go along with the all black? I am always super envious of the Oregon Duck's jerseys and wish we would get some snazzier jerseys.

Just something with the sleeves or maybe on the sides of the numbers lol. Or even Raven wings on the shoulder pad area.

  18. How in the hell did that horrible Carolina team fro last season become world beaters this season? They got blown out six different times, lost six straight games and only made the playoffs because of a weak division. What changed?

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

They have a talented roster and the ultimate team chemistry right now. I am by no means a Carolina fan, but as a football fan, you have to give them props. Everyone says they had an easy schedule but guess what, they're 17-1, the beat GB, Houston, Indy, and beat two of the best teams in the league, which last time I checked Arizona went 13-3 and they just got embarrassed.

  19. As a football fan, I just want to see the Patriots lose, whether it is to Peyton, or to a possible SB rematch to the Panthers. Brady's whining losing face is priceless lmao

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

I hope the NFC wins lol, wouldn't mind seeing either Carolina avenging their previous SB loss over a decade ago or Arians and Fitz winning one. I can't stand anything about the patriots. Yes, they are winners, but the way they do it and their shady past, along with their beyond arrogant fans, I just love watching when they lose.

  20. My most hopeful second round pick would be leonard Floyd slipping to us in the second! That guy is explosives!

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

You never know! Jernigan was a top 20 pick at one point. And Carl Davis was guaranteed to have been gone by the second, yet he fell to the third. I just want a fierce pass rusher to be groomed under Suggs and Doom. And have Smith inserted into McPhees old role.

  21. I'll predict an upset in NE and Arizona rolling Green Bay yet again. But wouldn't be surprised if BB and Brady have a couple tricks up their sleeves to win.

    1. RavensDieHard21

      RavensDieHard21

I think KC's aggressive defense will keep it close, but if NE goes up 10, game over.

The guy has all the tools, just need to add 10-15lbs to not get washed up on run plays, he is very similar to randy Gregory.
