  1. Yes, we will revisit this after the draft where I will likely say I told ya so. Everyone is still stuck on Wilson being a top CB. I no longer see that post combine. He is a good CB but he maybe the 6th to 8th best overall CB. If teams are really all in for CBs then I could see him going mid to late 20s. If not, he will go early in the second round for a team that wants to bolster the secondary. Wilson had better deep speed than Tabor, but that still wasn't too convincing. He looked semi-stiff/ clunky changing direction and flipping his hips. Pair that with his borderline poor tackling and a deep class, there is more potential to be had with guys like Humphrey, Awuzie, Moreau, Jones, Conley, White and Lattimore.
  2. If we were drafting in our old position of 24-30, this kid would be a dynamite hit. At 16 though, he is a little rich. I love what he will bring to the table though. We had a good defense last year, but we ranked 30th in the pass rush department according to PFF. Pair that with a thin secondary and hello 8-8. But we now have Jefferson and Carr, hopefully another corner within the third round too. Now if we add Harris into the equation, we then will be much much better as a unit once we get a young speed rusher. Harris would be similar to Doom early on. We would depend on him for the same things essentially, which is to get to the passer in obvious passing situations. When he gets deployed on third and long, he will be effective, but trying to have him set the edge will have the same results as Doom until he either gets either better coaching or is embraced as a pure pass rusher specialist. If we get any offers to trade back with the Buccaneers or Giants, he would be a nice pick up.
  3. I guess his recovery will tell. Thank God for modern medicine and rehabilitation processes because these types of injuries used to ruin careers. I think year 1 would be a wash as he will need to recovery then get back up to speed the rest of the season. Investing a second rounder for a guy that was arguably the best in class is worth it to me. The question will be whether other teams are willing to make the move before us
  4. Sidney Jones potentially available for this season?🤔 Ozzie make the moves to grab this guy in the second!! Hopefully teams sleep on him and he end up in our laps
  5. We will see. I could almost guarantee we will see Lattimore, Conley, Humphrey and White go before he does. His combine wasn't terrible but he isn't as smooth as the other top CBs including Awuzie and Moreau.
  6. Bolles wouldn't be too bad, but Wilson is Def pegged as second round at this point
  7. Lmao cannot believe I forgot him hahaha okay lets revamp this
  8. Hypothetically speaking, the draft starts off like this: Garrett, Thomas, Adams, Fournette, Mike Williams, Marshon Lattimore, Malik Hooker, Jonathan Allen, Reuben Foster, Corey Davis, Derek Barnett, Deshaun Watson, OJ Howard, Dalvin Cook, Forest Lamp. Who do you then take with no trade back options on the table?
  9. As I see it I have Williams first then Davis then Ross. I just think Buffalo, Arizona, Tennessee, even Carolina could use extra weapons in their offenses, so it will be hard for Davis and Williams to make it. I like to think worst case possible so I don't get my hopes up😂
  10. I mean Ross isn't my first pick, but if we get him I'll still be happy with the potential we will have if Perriman comes along and Flacco actually has practices with these guys to gain chemistry. There would be so much speed on the field that we would have no excuse to not have a potent passing game unless out line just stinks that bad, but u have faith it will be just fine.
  11. Great mock. I'd take it. Moron might go earlier as well as Elflein, but if we both got them then we would have a pretty nasty line.
  12. I don't get the hate for Ross though🤔 I would prefer a big receiver like Williams or Davis, but they likely are not there. Ross will be a likely be a TY Hilton / Tyreek Hill like talent. The guy is shifty as it gets and his routes are crisp. He killed it at UW and would have been even better if his QB was better. A lot of his huge plays he had to slow down for and wait for the ball. Every year Flacco struggles when his receivers cannot gain separation quickly and the longer he holds onto that ball, the more likely a bad play is bound to happen. Ross is so quick off the line and runs such good routes that I think only elite shifty corners will have the chance to contain him. The big physical corners will get toasted. Just like what happened with Sherman vs TY Hilton.
  13. That's the thing though, Davis and Williams are almost definitely going to be gone. Ross is a game changer man. I can just see it now.
  14. Realistic for sure. I wouldn't be mad.
  15. Ya that's the thing. We really won't get much for them and have invested heavily in the position. A CB, G, RT, or Edge rusher would help this team out. The problem with the team is we surrendered the most go ahead TDs the last two years. We also have no push in the run game because we have a small finesse line. Adding Howard might help RZ efficiency but I don't think it will matter if we don't have a run game or a coordinator creative enough to get him open.
  16. Why is that
  17. Best center is going to be Elflein. He would be a great move in the second. Underrated centers are Kyle Fuller from Baylor and Jay Guillermo from Clemson. I like Guillermo as a fourth round pick. He handled business in the playoffs and handled the vaunted Alabama front without any concerns. He could be a nice move
  18. He has had medical issues in the past with arthritis or something. Doesn't seem anything major. He didn't blow up the combine either, hence why mocks have him slipping as far as Buffalo. To be honest, the farthest I think he would fall would be Carolina and as early as San Fran
  19. I will agree he is a freak athlete and will likely be a good player, but based on team needs and the other prospects that could be available, I just couldn't fathom taking a TE. Pitta is still decent, Williams basically only played his rookie year and is still incredibly young too. Gilmore is a great blocker and a smash mouth TE but he just gets hurt too often and isn't fast enough to gain separation. I realistically would rather hope Engram was there in the second if anything.
  20. Did you just say Moore has flashed all pro ability? 😂 The guy had stone hands and made a couple big plays on ST. No confidence in him yet. As far as starting ability, it won't matter who is on the current roster when we draft someone, especially at WR. Just look at 14', everyone was outraged when we picked Mosley when we drafted Art Brown the year before. Mosley started and Brown never seen the field. The better talent will win out.
  21. I thought the same too, as far as being a one trick pony anyway. But he could actually make this offense dangerous, especially if Perriman develops too. Some of Flacco's issues for years have come from his receivers not getting separation, yet with Ross, he can shake guys quick. He is quick off the line and if the DB doesn't successfully jam, forget about it. I think Buffalo might take Davis or Williams and maybe Arizona could take a WR too. Team needs at the top of the draft will likely put one of the three in our laps
  22. Ya I have a strong feeling we are going pass rush or offense in the first
  23. I agree there, but I guess it was more of an example that in past draft team's are not afraid to take those gambles. Look out for Cleveland
  24. I'd love this draft and I think Elflein is worth trading up for. We would have two young anchors on our line with Stanley and him, plus the last few years with Yanda. Realistically I think we would need to sneak back into the back end of the second. Maybe a third and fourth could get that done. If not, Moton or Orlosky in the third would be good moves too
  25. I don't think so. He will not escape the second. There are teams out there like the Cowboys or Jags that have shown they're not afraid of taking top 10 talented players with injuries, hence Jaylon Smith and Myles Jack. Sidney Jones pre-injury was arguably the best in class CB. I think teams willing to wait will be rewarded. I'd snag him in the second no doubt
