  1. My thoughts exactly. If Ozzie nabs Ramsey or Hargreaves at 6 he can move back in and grab this guy. Oddly enough, in previous drafts when Ozzie has had an early pick, he likes to trade back up and grab that guy that is slipping and sometimes winning and sometimes losing. He did it with Ogden/Lewis (grabbed Ogden at 4 moved back in and got Lewis at 26), drafted J Lewis at 4 moved back in got Travis Taylor at 10, Suggs at 10, Boller at 19 and Flacco at 18 but they traded their second away to move up and get Flacco but traded back into the late second to grab Rice. So history shows, Ozzie is not afraid to move up in the first or second after grabbing a top notch player early in the draft. Lets hope his second pick this year was as good as his second pick in 96. Great examples! I didn't think of that! I am on the Ramsey, HG3, and Alexander express right now, with the hopes of getting Spence or Floyd later in the Rd or in the second.
  2. The guy is trending up, and quickly at that. If he has matured to accompany his skill set and physical traits, then he is undeniably a top 15 pick. Please allow the Ravens to draft two beasts on Defense in Rd 1 and 2, preferably with this animal of a pass rusher being one of them. His tape is great and while I wouldn't mind Leonard Floyd, I think Spence's frame is ready for the AFC North while Floyd might need some time.
  3. Spence is going to rise up boards, I don't see him lasting past the playoff teams in the late 20s because a combo of the Senior Bowl and the Combine will make most teams think he is worth the risk. I want him bad, but at #6? Maybe, only if Bosa, Tunsil, Buckner, and Ramsey are gone and no one is willing to make a trade. But with that being said, if we do take one of those 4 and Spence slips into the late 20's, please Ozzie, grab a top notch talent. Many times talent does fall to us, but it doesn't always happen. I knew we would need to trade up to get Marcus peters or Shane Ray last year and Oz passed the up the opportunity to go get them( But did move up for Maxx in the 2nd). I guess we will see.
  4. I agree! I looked at that and laughed as hard as I could. Were they taking the top 50 draft prospects and picking them out of a hat?
  5. I agree. Everyone keeps thinking that because Ramsey isn't a lock to become a shutdown corner or a definite FS, that he will have nowhere on our roster. A playmaker is a play maker and he could be the future of our team. Spence is the best pure edge rusher in this class, but that character issue might allow him to slide. I'd be happy with him or Floyd, but would prefer Spence.
  6. That mock draft looked good for about 5 picks then simply crumbled. Tunsil will not fall to 11,scooby wright in the first is a reach, Calhoun is too high and unless Ogbah blows up at the combine, there is a slim chance he goes # 6 to us
  7. I am all for getting weapons for Flacco and giving him the ability to move the ball down the field, but our receivers and TEs are young and still could develop into something great, such as Aiken, perriman, Gilmore, Boyle, Maxx, but I do say we get a WR in second or third. As a biased organized chaos endorser, I just want to have a suffocating defense again that makes you feel that when they're on the field that offenses are going to be in a world of pain and frustration. We have a lot of pieces, but we just need 2-3 more young superstars. A pass rusher is looking murky as of now at #6, but Floyd might drop to the point where we could snag him in a trade up, or we could see Spence land to us in a trade back scenario. HG3, Ramsey, and Alexander will all be studs too mark my words. It would be a shame if we passed them all up if available, unless we get a Tunsil, Bosa, or maybe Buckner.
  8. And guess what, all of those receivers are sitting on their couches watching the big game because defense has paved the way to SB 50.
  9. There is no reason to fear a number, especially in the top 10, maybe besides getting someone that battles injuries, this needs to be a pick we can bank on to help us win immediately. We need another pillar on the defensive side of the ball. If this post season and our season as a whole has proven anything, it would be that Defense still wins championships! It is no coincidence that the top contenders at the end were all teams with top 5 defensive units. Carolina and Denver have young, athletic, aggressive, and opportunistic defenses, and guess what? That is what got them there. Cam has a band of unique, but non superstar receivers and that offense is booming because of the defense's play and ability to get them good field position. Despite Manning being in a drought, a terrible O-line, and all-star receivers not producing, the #1 defense has got them to the game. I am having too many flashbacks on games where our defense could not force a single turn over, nor get off the field with the game on the line. With a band of random young talent our offense produced! If we want to win, we need to land two monsters in the first and second. For that reason, even if Treadwell was available at #6, I would not take him unless we traded back. Thomas, Boyd, Shepard, Doctson could all very well be available in the late first through second rd. I want a combo of a HG3 and Floyd personally or trading back and getting Spence and Alexander possibly, or Bosa and Apple. Remember only 35 players will come off that board before we draft a second time, which means we will get a star in the second if the cards fall right.
  10. I'm so skeptical of our young talent in pees's scheme. I feel he slows their development and doesn't y to the strength of our players. But anyway, love the mock, I've been saying over and over that red 1 and 2 should be dedicated to a combo of pass rushers and corners.
  11. We just need elite talent to compete! Our recent drafts have given us great talent, but not blue chip playmakers. Mosley might certainly be and jimmy smith is certainly on the brink, but perriman is a mystery, Elam has been replaced by hill, upshaw was great at what he did, but not a pass rusher. We have a lot of good players, we need an elite CB opposite jimmy to cause turnovers and limit big plays and a nasty pass rusher to take the torch from sizzle. If we add any major players that will help us to sb51 I'm all for it
  12. With the 6th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens select...Joey Bosa, DE Ohio State. If he's there let's take him. A lot of talent to work with and if properly groomed, he could be one beastly OLB. High motor players are always sought after, but I'd be happy with Buckner too.
  13. Spence at 6, hmmmm. Great talent and with a stellar combine, his stock will explode. I wish their was a Khalil Mack in this years draft.
  14. Shepard landing to us in the third after we nab two defensive studs would be clutch.
  15. As obsessed as most fans have been over the years with building up a high-powered offense with young weapons for Joe, this post-season has validated one thing, which is defense reigns supreme in raising lombardy trophies. PERIOD. Just look at Cam Newton's weapons, a bunch of under the radar receivers who find a way to make plays. But look at Demariyus Thomas, Sanders, Fitzgerald, John Brown, etc. All of those guys were top WR all year and in the most important moments of the post-season, they have disappeared at one point over the other, while defensive gems have changed games. For that reason, let's take what the draft gives us and land a blue chip defender, As much as we would like Treadwell, we must have organized chaos to regain championship form,
  16. Sean Smith or Jenkins would be sneaky under the radar great pick ups if they came at the right price because they are both talented and aggressive. Unfortunately,we must face it, unless we steal a player like we did with Doom, we will never over-pursue a player in a bidding war. Realistically, the only reason we would or should do it is if we think we are one or two pieces away from a championship, e.g. the patriots signing Revis to win a ring. We are realistically 2-4 blue chip players away though.
  17. Congrats Doom. Boy 32 now. We need a young pass rusher lol
  18. I wish there was a Von Miller like talent in this draft because he is a game changing talent that I would be willing to pay big money to get if ever possible. But he will easily seek $100 million after Houston's deal. We should just get a nasty trio of corners like Denver then. Jimmy is great, we need 1-2 more studs and we will be looking pretty fierce.
  19. Man the old mantra holds true, Defense Wins Championships! ferocious pass rushers, quick and athletic line backers, and play making cover corners will stifle any offense in the league. Bring back organized Chaos. I miss the days when we knew our D would hold us in the game until the end and all we pray for was one or two big plays on offense or special teams.
  20. Stanley isn't a sexy pick, but a valuable one long-term if we can't resign KO.
  21. Just the SB match I was hoping it would be! Carolina v Denver will be interesting. Top scoring offense v top scoring defense. Interestingly though, Carolina has mastered the art of forcing turnovers. I hope it's a great game for everyone to watch.

  22. Defense has and always will win championships. The recipe has been the same. Get a ferocious defense, a franchise QB, solidify the trenches on offense and you have a chance to win a SB every year. Look at the defensive talent of Denver, Carolina, and Arizona, they al%u0142 have at least 4-5 blue chip players on defense. We are just one or two pieces away from that. Focus of the offseason is to nab one more receiver, via draft or free agency, and load up our defense. Teams need to be frightened when they face us!
  23. I hope we nail this draft because our success all comes from the draft. If that process is messed up, our success stalls. We don't overpay free agents and in a lot of scenarios, our own players that other teams are willing to break the bank for. When a guy like McPhee departs, we need to refill those shoes asap. When we lose a Torrey smith, we go get a Perriman, but their progress is what we are banking on, so let's get some pro-ready players with high ceilings! Bosa, Tunsil, HG3, or Buckner. First three rounds need to be your sure fired hits.
  24. I maybe wrong, but the average of the top 5 guards is somewhere around $5-7 million. To pay that to possibly have your future LT is worth the price I think. Monroe's durability scares me and I am not sure if we want to see James Hurst being tossed like a rag doll into our franchise QB again lol
  25. if we can work out a deal where he is getting the new league average for starting Qbs of $20 million, the saved $8 million could at least pay to franchise KO and pay a few rookie contracts. I think Joe realizes he wants to win more than anything so I see a deal being done by summer. Yanda BTW will also be a first ballot HOF one day too if he continues on this path of greatness!
