  1. Irresistible force? Did you mean the unstoppable force v. the immovable object?
  2. I just don't get how they stayed under the cap! I know that Miller, Trevathan and Robey are under rookie contracts still, but there are a lot of players getting paid on the team that came from free agency, such as Ware, Talib, Ward, etc.
  3. Hahahaha best comment of the day. He is so blah, I always want to believe he is doing the best with what he has got, but he has never blown me away. He will call a good game then have two or three terrible ones where we get stomped. If any valuable coordinators are out there I say we get them snatched up if pees tanks the first 3 or 4 games, we need someone that has grit and ability to play to the strength of our players.
  4. That is my point though, I know the media loves offense because it makes games exciting, but many fans still think we need "weapons", which I believe we need some talent on defense to compete with these other defensive juggernaut teams like the Broncos, Panthers, Seahawks, Cardinals, etc.
  5. Watching Stewart play his heart out made me wish that he was still here. Their scheme is obviously different, but their style of players is exactly what we are looking for.
  6. He is ready for OTAs lmao! At least his recovery time has been ahead of schedule.
  7. Pees has to let our players have as much freedom as Phillips does his plays and in their scheme. I think his defensive philosophy over complicates things and leads to a lot of plays where our players are out of position, particularly on pass plays.
  8. I agree, he is so smug and arrogant, but I am happy for Kubiak and his recognition of Baltimore.
  9. Too many other needs to waste an early pick on a player that needs time to develop. We already have those players--Brooks and Elam--who are still trying to prove they can contribute. If I were Ozzie, S is the last position I would take. Pass rushers and Corners, then a partner for Mosley.
  10. #1 Mission of 2016 season, bring back organized chaos
  11. After watching the Super Bowl I wouldn't mind if we drafted a defensive player with every pick lol.....jk, maybe. I never seen a defense since the 2000 Ravens, maybe 2013 Seahawks, just absolutely man handle a league MVP and the top scoring offense the way that they did. The thing that was the most impressive was that Peyton and the offense made it their goal to kill clock and run manilla plays so that their defense could get back out there! It was pretty crazy to see, but all this Super Bowl verified was the defense always has and always will win championships.
  12. The Jaylon Smith stock is perhaps the most interesting one to watch in the draft. Pre-injury he is top 3, but are teams willing to roll the dice in Rd1? With the way surgeons are these days, a knee injury can be recovered from in a year.
  13. I 100% agree with those 4, pre combine being worthy of #6 pick. Ideally trading with philly or LA would get us a 2nd dr pick and in position to nab Spence, HG3, Billings, Ragland, Alexander or Treadwell. We will see. I pray we get one of those 4 and trade back into the first to get Spence or Smith. Defense would be ascending upward quick.
  14. Hello fellow Raven fans, as we all know, the draft is approaching and there will be a lot of speculation on where players will go after the combine happens, but from where I see it now, this is how I think the first rd goes and potential players available in the second and third. (with some trade speculation) 1.) Tenn- Tunsil / they need to protect their franchise QB Tunsil is an immediate need. 2.) Clev- Goff / I want to say the Browns will go BPA, but realistically they will continue to be the browns lol 3.) SD- Stanley / Rivers in recent years has taken a beating and Stanley helps address that pressing issue. 4.) DAL- Treadwell / If Hardy leaves, this pick could very well be Bosa or Buckner, but Jerry loves the idea of Romo having weapons so.... 5.) JAC- Ramsey / Their secondary was god awful and Ramsey is a game changer to help get Bortles the ball more often 6.) BAL- Bosa* / I really think he will slide like Williams did last year. I also think that between his motor, technique, and football IQ, he will excel if he is groomed well under Suggs and Pees finds ways to get him in 1 on 1 situations. He could very well be our next edge rusher after Sizzle, but how he adapts to our scheme would tell. 7.) SF- Wentz / CHip doesn't know what defense is and he will need a new QB so this is how he will address that. 8.) MIA- Buckner / I know Suh is getting all that money, but with Buckner being BPA, he would make Suh's job a whole lot easier with a 6-7 monster there. 9) TB- HG3 / They desperately need a corner and it has been no secret that they covet the Florida boy. 10.) NYG- Lawson / This one is tricky, they could go secondary or another DE or DT, it will depend on combine numbers mark my words. 11) CHI- Jack / I was thinking possibly Floyd, but Jack is too well-rounded and athletic to pass at this point. 12.) NO- Alexander / Their secondary is so bad that they will be glad to take a player with a high-ceiling to limit passing plays against them. 13.) PHI- Lynch / Bradford was subpar at best playing this year and with two QBs off the table, Philly will feel the pressure 14.) Oak- A'Shawn Robinson / I think they will continue to build up their defense, they could go billings or secondary, but battles start in the trenches. 15.) LA- Boyd / If Jenkins leaves, they will take Apple, but the Rams need WRs and at this point they can get a QB in rd 2. They are our best option to trade back with. 16.) DET- Nkemdiche / He is just a Detroit kind of pick and this could change with Megatron retiring. 17.) ATL- Smith / at this point, his potential outshines Ragland's, therefore, ATL doubles down on getting a top prospect 18.) IND- Elliot / Colts running game has been bad for some time and Gore might be losing to father time. This pick might be Conklin if they don't address OL. 19.) Buff- Ogbah ( Maybe Floyd) / Rex will see his potential and being in a 3-4 system will help him move on from M. Williams. 20.) NYJ- Coleman / Defense is stout and loaded with talent, Coleman gives the offense another playmaker to seek balance. 21.) WASH- Reed/ Helps give flexibility on Dl and BPA. 22.) HOU- Decker / BPA that infuses youth into the OL, but a skill position WR or RB is still in the cards, possibly a Ragland on defense. 23.) MIN- Thomas / It might be a reach, but I think their defense looks pretty darn good and they want to surround teddy with talent. 24.) CIN- Lee / With that knucklehead on their team always getting into trouble, Lee is a nice backup plan at LB. 25.) Pitt- Apple / Pitt is desperate for a secondary help, primarily because ther unit wasn't able to hold up against big plays all year, they need to get a cover corner. 26.) SEA- Dodd / they will continue to inject young talent into that defense and they need another rusher to help Bennett. 27.) GB- Floyd/ GB needs another legit pass rusher with Clay playing mostly ILB now, Floyd should help. 28.) KC- Rankins / too valuable to pass up at this point. Will help occupy space up front and take some pressure off of Houston and Hali 29.) ARZ- Spence / Their depth in the secondary is great, but they are missing a pass rusher/ interior force to help Campbell & co. 30.) DEN- Kelly or Henry/ Offensive line is a major need, especially interior lineman and Davis and Daniels are knocking on the door of retirement at the TE position. 31.) CAR-Cravens or Fuller/ They are a great scheme team, but their other corners opposite Norman are not entirely dependable or going to be with team next year. In RD2 and 3 I pray we nab a tumbling talent or we trade back in, potentially trading out of 6, but from my mock here, Cravens, Billings, Fuller, Oakmen, Wright, Calhoun, Josh Perry, Doctson, Shepard. I hope we nab a combo of edge rusher and corner early, then WR and maybe LB or DE in 3 through 4. May the force be with us and Ozzie on draft day,
  15. I really do hope so!
  16. Stanley isn't a sexy pick, but if KO leaves, I'd be happy with him! I just felt most of our games were lost because we couldn't get a pass rush going to get opposing offenses off the field. I realistically think without trading back, Bosa, Buckner, Stanley and Ramsey all have a chance to be there at #6, all of which I'd be thrilled with.
  17. I agree, but it is tough because every year a few teams will grab players early because they're scared there will be a run on a position. With so many teams lacking decent OL and DL, i though RD 1 would see a lot of trench guys coming off the board. We will see though. Can't wait
  18. I have mocked Bosa to us multiple times, if he is not available, Ramsey or Buckner certainly will be so I would be glad with any of those players! Bosa's motor will dominate with suggs and doom occupying the tackles.
  19. Elam had a decent rookie year, nothing flashy, but he wasn't a liability. 2014 he regressed a bit, but many articles showed how he was committing himself to film study, then he sat out all of 2015. With Hill Hill only under contract for one more year and Webby being injury prone, I think 2016 is his make or break year. I am interested to see if he or Brooks will finally make a splash. We will see.
  20. I'm sure we do lol, but I've been to a dozen or so games and I always feel that everyone is just having a great time and enjoying the atmosphere.
  21. So Ravens are on the clock at #6 and Bosa, Tunsil, Buckner, Goff, and Stanley come off the board, hypothetically speaking, with no trading back, do we feel more comfortable with Ramsey or HG3? I would probably flip a coin and then pass out. Ramsey is a leader and well-rounded with great "potential", while HG3 has great ball skills and is a technician, but is under-sized. We need a franchise changing player, I think that the combine will show whether or not the dark horse, Alexander will slide enough for us to grab him later in the first or not.
  22. but then 2014... Lol Those missed tackles in the Patriots game haunt me in my sleep
  23. I love the Bank! And we all love football and our team! But the one thing I noticed is that our fans respect the opposing fans that come into our stadium, regardless of the color of their jerseys, but I cannot say the same about other team's fans. I went to Pitt two years ago and was aggressively harassed all game and a woman that parked next to me flung her door open and dented my door. She then turned and looked at me and said "Should have picked a better team." In Buffalo, my friend had two beers poured on him too. It is just a classy stadium we have and though we might joke with opposing fans, we all remember we are there to have fun and watch a game.
  24. I agree, while he is more of a natural Safety, I think if drafted he will start as a CB to assess his abilities there. But, he could be used in a hybrid role if he didn't excel at safety.
  25. I am sternly sticking by the idea that if Ramsey, Tunsil and Bosa are gone, we will trade back and hopefully get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for doing so--maybe even bundling those picks to move up. In Rd 1 and 2, if we get any combo of Bosa, Tunsil, Ramsey, Buckner Alexander, HG3, Spence, Floyd, Dodd, Apple, Fuller, Smith or Jack, I would be ecstatic
