  1. I mean their scheme was concrete the entire game, rush 5 defenders, with Von and Ware coming off the edge as quick as can be, while putting all corners in man coverage and allowing your safeties to roam free and make plays, most often near the middle of the field and the line of scrimmage. It was a kind of swagger that they were able to bring utilizing the talent that they had.
  2. Would you take Buckner at #6 if Bosa is gone and so is Ramsey? Or how about if LA or Philly offer their second rd picks as well so that we can grab two mid round picks like Spence and Ogbah, or Spence and Alexander?
  3. Trust me I want to drink the purple kool aid too, simply because there are a lot of talented pieces on our defense, but we do need to stay healthy and we must address a few key areas. I think that the three main areas that could use a bump are pass rush, a #2 corner opposite of Jimmy and a young ILB next to CJ who can cover and make receivers, Running backs and Tight ends fear coming across the middle. With those three primary needs I would be ecstatic if we landed Ramsey, Bosa, or Buckner at #6 because they infuse game changing talent and woul either generate an interior pass rush to compliment Jernigan's, or Ramsey is the roaming play maker ready to do whatever is needed of him, whether it be rushing the passer, playing deep middle, or covering a receiver. With trade back scenarios in mind, if Philadelphia or LA decide to move up to grab their QB of the future ahead of San Fran or one another than we could then chase Alexander, Spence, Ogbah, or potentially Jack, Ragland, or Smith. The key is we need to patch our weaknesses and get ready to Ball So Hard
  4. I agree with that. I have always been a huge Boldin fan, but I have always been an even bigger Steve Smith fan. It is crazy to see his production here at age 35 and 36, imagine if we had at least gotten him around 2010/11 instead of Boldin while he was about 30. I truly believe that pure talent wise over his career he was a top 5 WR EVER. He was what AB is now, but with better blocking skills and power. Anyways, can we just pray Perriman and Aiken both develop nicely for the future and Shepard gets his name called in the 3rd.
  5. I would never say "so great" or insane WR, but he was another nice vet player to have that at times did have drops like any talented WR does, yet provided a security blanket for Joe. I won't refute your statement about some of his drops costing us because it did in fact happen. When you are a Baltimore fan, I think we are all just happy when that position can provide some degree of consistency and hope that when the chips are down a play can be made, which inevitably he did in 2012. Talent wise, he is somewhere in the mix of Mason and SSS as our best WR talent.
  6. I agree completely and I hope when Joe sits down at the table that he realizes that if Ozzie can get a nice chunk of cap to work with that he will once again have the chance to compete for a championship. With a playoff record of 10-5 and a SB MVP to his credit, he should be itching to add to that already impressive resume. I just hope that one way or another that Webb, Pitta, and Monroe's contracts find a way to work out for us, instead of us cutting them and having to deal with that dead money cycle again.
  7. I remember that drop in the 2010 playoffs, it was on 3rd down and we were driving to win the game, but then Joe threw a bullet at TJ on 4th down and it hit him in the chest and he dropped it too....
  8. Well the Super Bowl just ended, now it's time to endure the pain of free agency....

  9. You are most likely right about that. It will be interesting. I think that in a dream like scenario, Flacco signs an extension before Free Agency hits so that Ozzie actually can make a few moves if needed, but I don't think it will be likely.
  10. I guess I am being a bit optimistic, but ya never know. I think if Carolina doesn't get a deal done with Norman that he will attract a lot of the spotlight. And with it being a what have you done for me lately league, his number MIGHT dip lol
  11. That is by far a long shot to have Tunsil slide to 6 and we take him after retaining KO, but boy, if we did, then I'd say we might have more talent than Dallas on the line. If only dreams came true lol
  12. I love Flacco and the consistency that he brings here. He is our iron man and our January specialist. Besides a few blunders from time to time, which happen to the best of the best, Joe is worth franchise QB money. With that being said, it is no longer a crazy phenomenon to pay a QB $20 million a year, which I think between 18-20 is certainly what Flacco should be getting paid through his next extension because $28 million is pretty darn suffocating for the cap. I know Ozzie wants to create space early on in these deals so that he can have more wiggle room for that year, but then when these deals are so back loaded it puts immense pressure on him to seek an extension with the player to lower that number, or to restructure their deal, which I think just creates cycles of cap room headaches and dead money once the player isn't willing to budge. But if we can create $8-10 million and make cuts to any other players that we feel can be replaced at a percentage of the price then 2016 will be a great year.
  13. With Canty's +$2million cap hit, I certainly believe that Guy and Urban make him a post June 1st cut. Guy shows random flashes, but for a rotational guy, that is all we need out of him
  14. I think that we should tender him and hope to reach a deal before the draft, or at least before Ozzie starts his free agency months after the new season starts lol. I think Aiken was a bright spot this year as he displayed speed, decent routes, and most importantly the desire to go get the ball and to hang onto it! It is certainly worth the cost to see how he can continue to contribute.
  15. The last statement is gold! I agree here. If we did nab Buckner and he was only used as a space eater, then it would further verify that Pees has no clue on how to utilize his players skills.
  16. 1 pick away....Watching that draft I remember yelling how much I hated Dallas lol
  17. I cannot believe the jags got Robinson, Lee, and Hurns in the same draft and they all, maybe besides Lee, have become studs! I think we just are never in great position to grab a proven WR, but i pray we dedicate a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round pick to keep taking whacks at it, Who knowsm maybe Perriman will explode onto the scene lol
  18. if is weighs more than 240, Floyd early on could just be a pass rush specialist while he adds weight properly. he should ideally weigh 250-255, but watching tape on him makes it hard to deny his explosiveness and ability to fly past tackles before they even had a chance at getting their hands on him, Imagine him lining up next to Sizzle or doom in exotic blitz packages.
  19. This little debate was interesting, but I agree that if I were Ozzie and the top shelf 3 players are gone, I would without hesitation pull the trigger on Buckner, that's if there are no trade back offers. Trust me, I think generating a pass rush and CBs are our major concerns, but unless Alexander or HG3 set the combine on fire, then I don't see us using our #6 pick on them. Unfortunately, even though they both possess very high ceilings and are both technicians, their lack of size is slightly concerning, in addition to HG3's abilities in run support and Alexander's ball skills or ability to contest balls against big athletic pass catchers. Buckner just has a very high ceiling and a very high floor, especially playing DE in a 3-4, where he will line up next to Williams and Jernigan. His motor is relentless and his physical composition is incredibly imposing. Watching tape on him, it will be easy to see why he will be a safe pick, simply because he not only has a motor and is 6'7 and 300 lbs, but he has immense strength to plow through guards and interior blockers, as well as technique to disengage those blockers to immediately get pressure up the middle.
  20. It's cool, so you are implying that Mason and Smith are #1 and #2 then? and wasn't his deal 4 years, $28 million? A bigger contract than we're accustomed to,but a long shot from being even remotely expensive for what he brought to the table. All receivers drop balls occasionally and from what I remember, that was about what his drop rate was here. It boggles my mind that under Harbs we have only semi-developed one good receiver, obviously being Torrey, with barely any success besides signing vets.
  21. If Bosa, Buckner, Ramsey and Tunsil are gone, I would absolutely love to trade back with the Eagles or the Rams, acquire their first and second rd picks, take either Spence, Floyd, Smith, Alexander, or Jack at #13 or #15 and bundle the two second rounders to jump back in and grab one of those players that are remaining. Another dream scenario is to get one of those top 4 talents, then still jump back into the 20's and nab the falling star left on the board, which I think could be an Alexander because of his unproven ball skills and size or Floyd because of his thin frame, but regardless these players will be studs.
  22. Our O line will be great if we retain KO. But if he leaves, it will still be in the top 10 I think, especially if we take Stanley.
  23. I see Spence as a guy that we should target as a trade up if he slips past 15 and we do in fact take someone at #6, such as Bosa, Ramsey, or Buckner. If for any reason Ozzie can give up our second and a 4th and future pick to snag him, I'd be happy, especially if we get another defensive gem on the team.
  24. Uhhh, did you say the most overrated player we ever had? That might be the most loaded and bizarre statements I ever read on here. While Q never lit up the stat sheets on a yearly basis, simply due to our style of play, the three years he was here he routinely made big plays when we needed them the most. The entire 2012 SB run was not only engineered off of the Lewis retirement and Flacco's MVP performance, but Boldin making huge plays against Indy, Denver, New England and clutch catches against San Fran. While many fans speak of him as if he were a top 5 receiver while he was here, ultimately his leadership, toughness and clutch abilities guided us to perhaps our three best consecutive years as an organization.
  25. We need a new D coordinator, I just don't get what John sees in Pees....
