  1. Agreed. Get Flacco a beast line and he can throw dimes. I think regardless of Wagner staying or leaving, we need a versatile mauler/technician like Dan Feeney or Pat Eiflein that can play guard or center very well. We plug them in and out run game will be relevant again. We need 2 corners from this draft, 1 starter and another that. Is for depth and can develop into a starter in a few years. Take one in the first two rounds then grab another in the third or fourth. I prefer to take a rusher early because the talent level of deep, but the premier talent dips after the first 4 or 5 guys. After Garrett, Barnett, Charlton, Williams and Harris, the talent starts to become questionable. Takk looks good but he has only had one good year and his rush moves are really raw. He mainly relied on athleticism and effort to get there.
  2. I am the farthest thing from a homer. I am practical, yet still very critical of coaching and the FO. I agree, FA has been a nightmare for us and retaining players. Our drafts have been lackluster, especially early, using hindsight is always great though, but at the time of these drafts most of these picks looked very promising or a handful did in fact turn out pretty good. Without sounding like a parrot, 16' looks to be a very good draft but I agree that KC and Bronson were not great fits. But you cannot refute that there were many gems in the draft. Stanley looks impressive, so does young. Dixon and Lewis flashed and they were just rookies. Judon did as well. This draft is critical and I expect Ozzie to knock it out of the park. We are drafting dead in the middle, unless he takes a raw corner or a unrefined WR in the first, I think he gets us a pro bowler.
  3. The KC pick til this day still puzzles me because there was so many other more talented players than him left, but besides that, Bronson had an unforseeable injury. In 15' we took the best TE in the draft and a run stuffing DT who had a top 50 grade on him. In 14' we took Jernigan who was a beast at FSU and Gilmore who was over drafted, but outside of that, most recent picks weren't initially as terrible as many people make them up to be. In 13' Art Brown looked like a legit talent and just never panned out and Williams has been arguably the best run stuffing NT in the league.
  4. Our major needs are: Edge, CB, C, G, WR, S. I definitely believe that Garrett, Allen and Fournette are gone at 16. Arguably so will Williams, Adams and Hooker, but crazier things have happened in the past. Based on that, this would be my big board only utilizing needs. 1.) Derek Barnett, Edge--breaking records and being underestimated works well together, ask Sizzle. 2.) Jamal Adams, S 3.) Mike Williams, WR 4.) Sidney Jones, CB 5.) Malik Hooker, S 6.) Marshon Lattimore, CB--chronic injury history is troubling. 7.) Reuben Foster, LB--top 5 talent, but other needs are prioritized. 8.) Corey Davis, WR 9.) Dalvin Cook, RB--DV history is troubling and RB is not immediate need, but he is a legit dual threat that easily makes home run plays. 10.) Cam Robinson, G--he is going to be an absolute beast if moved inside to guard. His run blocking is immensely impressive. 11.) Tim Williams, Edge--concerns are overblown, he has wicked rush skills. 12.) Taco Charlton, edge--I don't think he will be a good fit but his skill in getting to the QB cannot be ignored. 13.) Teez Tabor, CB--many concerns with maturity and being over aggressive, but that was the same concerns teams had with Marcus Peters and he turned out great. Kid has cover and ball skills. 14.) Takk McKinley, Edge--he had one great year and seems to be an explosive athlete that puts 100% in each play, but still is raw with pass rush moves. 15.) Budda Baker, S--I want to go with Charles Harris, but baker has the it factor to me. He is slightly undersized, but he plays like a younger and faster Weddle. Coverage skills, ball skills, great tackler, and can lay the wood when needed. High IQ too.
  5. The laundry list lol it will all depend on value. But we had the 30th ranked pass rush. It is undeniably the first or second major need
  6. What a pointless article. This is exactly the way everyone on the message board already feels. Yes, an elite CB or rusher is wanted, but the value might be better at WR, OL or RB if the other top tier rushers or CBs are gone. We won't know how it breaks down until the draft.
  7. Purely gifted corner. All around I think from a talent basis he is a first rounder, but his size I think is why he hasn't gotten a lot of buzz on this thread. He would likely project to nickel/slot roll which Young already fills. Putting shorter corners on the outside can be tough when facing really good QBs who can drop it in the bucket. I think Lewis has a real good chance to be a Chris Harris Jr like corner though.
  8. It's a shame because if we took any need in the first then baker, we would have a crazy good start. The combine will likely make him the third safety taken in the first. Dare I say ahead of peppers due to being a true safety.
  9. Tabor and Humphrey are in the same boat. Slightly different though. Both are very physical and grabby at times and sometimes fail to get their heads turned around. Tabor had better ball skills but Humphrey is more aggressive. Both have solid coverage skills but may big be better in Tampa 2 and cover 3 early on
  10. Marlon Humphrey's pro comparison on NFL.com is jimmy smith. Do you see that? I feel jimmy was a lot more sticky, but style of play and attitude is spot on.
  11. Ya sometimes players get mediocre grades but then tear it up the next year. A lot of those grades are so hard to predict. Many keep saying he would be a better safety but I don't see it
  12. Oh I agree 100%, but none of the corners, besides Jackson look exceptionally quick.
  13. I think Conley is a borderline top 5 CB in this class. Especially with upside due to size. 1. Lattimore 2. Jones 3. Wilson--even though draft experts are tough on him, then it is tough. White and Lewis will likely be in the slot. Tabor and Humphrey have a super high ceiling, but pretty low floors because they have some serious concerns. Conley isn't a superstar but I think he will hold his own and has potential to be an underrated player
  14. Conley isn't as consistent as Lattimore or Jones, but he is still a pretty darn good corner. He had a pick vs Clemson when M. Williams fell, but Conley had to be in position to make that in the first place. Clemson was a bit of an outlier too. The historically good Alabama defense had 99 plays run on it and gave up multiple 4th quarter leads. Clemson was just special this year. Conley is physical at the line and can play off coverage pretty well. He gets lazy in run duties though. Basically shows no effort to get off of blocks.
  15. Best mock Draft yet!!!! From Baltimore Beatdown, very realistic first and even second round. Even with QBs going late. 1.) Derek Barnett, edge 2.) Gareon Conley, CB 3.) Cooper Kupp, WR 3.) Tyler Orlovsky, C Besides Kupp still being there, super realistic mock. If Kupp was gone id be all in for CB Kevin King, WR Isaiah Ford, ILB McMillan or WR Zay Jones. I would literally cry with excitement
  16. Anyone who watches a lot of college games and tape, not highlights, can very well quickly decipher the tiers of CBs in this draft. Jones and Lattimore are together in the top-tier, any analyst would attest to this. If either one was available that should 100% be the pick unless a pick at another pressing area was available, such as Mike Williams, Jamal Adams, or even Derek Barnett. The 2014 example is good, but guess what? Most of the regular season we had Suggs, McPhee, Doom, Ngata, Jernigan up front, then had Webb, Smith, Hill and the rest of the nameless secondary. They did great all year for the most part, but what happened when we faced the pats? They knew we could stop the run and we could rush the passer, so they completely abandoned the run and utilized a quick passing game complimented by a few trick plays and bam. We got smoked because our corners could not cover! Each can compliment the other and coverage can break down, but I think CBS can help even more because after holding the ball 5-6 seconds because of coverage, rushers will get there and plays will break down. That is what happened in 15' with Denver v NE. Miller was a terror, but Brady had nowhere to go with the ball because tight man coverage made him hold that ball extra long so he took 20 hits that game.
  17. That is the thing, after Garrett, I think only Barnett would have a higher grade than Sidney Jones or Marshon Lattimore.
  18. You do realize that the FO does in fact feel the pressure and so does Harbs and Bisciotti? No, there probably isn't much weight coming from fan blogs and forums, but from the fan base as a whole there sure is. When the team's success starts to flatline, fans get groggy and that is where the money comes from. Not just season ticket holders, which is just the tip of the iceberg. The money the stadium makes is just a small proportion of what the team is worth and a fan base can quickly dissipate if it feels it's FO does not care to make the necessary changes to start playing games in January.
  19. I am a Dan Feeney fan, but I would never take him at 16. He will be a very good guard, potentially transforming the whole line. I would easily look to trade back into the early 20s and hoping for a 3rd to do so. The 4th is not worth it. I have hated the idea of cam Robinson but at 16, he might be BPA. Moving inside to guard could be a massive boost in value. Watch how he manhandled individuals at the point of attack. His knock is he has a clunky back pedal, move inside to guard and he won't be hindered by those pesky speed rushers. He will match power with power and he is savvy enough to deal with good inside rushers. Could be a home run.
  20. Who we excited for? 40s! A lot of the top CBs have been rumored to have problems with speedsters, such as Tabor, Humphrey, Lattimore and so on, who will show they have the speed to hang? I want to see Sidney Jones, Peppers, Budda Baker and Desmond King run it. I want to see Cam Robinson do the BP. Individual drills too. I want to see Barnett run the drills and see his athleticism.
  21. It's not a popular thought, I hated it at first, but as a guard, his value skyrockets! I'd hope we look for a minor trade back, maybe 3-5 spots and nab a third, then get Robinson. Even at 16 I wouldn't flip a table, unless someone more valuable was there. But if no QBs or only 1 go, then a lot of talent could get plucked and Robinson could be the BPA especially since he is a smash mouth brawler in the run game and will very likely improve in pass defense because he won't be on the edge anymore so he will easily handle the powerful interior lineman.
  22. Round 2 was tough because I think Tim Williams was still available and so was Budda Baker and Desmond King, etc.
  23. Having Weddle and Adams would be insane. One corner away from legion of boom 2.0
  24. Latest mock from NFL.com had an anomaly happen. Jamal Adams fell to 16.....with three QBs going plus Taco and Ramcyzk. Possible but unlikely. That would be a crazy score
  25. Ya I would never take Robinson over Jones, but I think Robinson is going to be a brawler at guard. He had some problems at T but I think at G he will be a beast. Round two though, never! I'd take Williams regardless, if not definitely Baker. That's easy. These would be moves that would make me protest at the Ravens facilities afterward.
