  1. I mean ya I would take a big physical corner on the outside like Humphrey or Wilson. We need another bully at the position to match up well against guys like Green, Thomas, Cooper, Robinson, Hopkins etc. Yes our safeties played very well overall, especially Weddle. But they're 31 and 32 years old. Speed deficiency was quite evident v the Giants, second Steelers game, jets, patriots and so on. Weddle has great IQ and is a great talent around the LOS, but he's not as fast as we would like when a speedy offensive weapon gets the ball in space
  2. We need more speed and we need more size realistically. Our safeties are in the slower side and so are our corners, outside of young and Jimmy who are average speed guys. We need length at corner and a faster safety moving forward. You land Jones, Hump, Wilson or Lattimore with Baker or Peppers at safety/ backer and bam. We improve dramatically
  3. Moore was great on STs but man he dropped a ton of easy catches. As far as that goes, him and Perriman are in the same boat. With Perriman though, he needs to be fed next year. 3-4 targets is not enough at all. That is basically one chance per quarter. When he has a drop, target him again and let him redeem himself for confidence. He just lacks concentration and route running. He improves on those and he starts getting 8-10 looks per game. He will torch defenses. Sky could be the limit with him.
  4. I would love if we got one piece of good news this week. Steelers sign Brown, tag Bell, resign Harrison, Chiefs lock up Berry, San Diego locks up ingram, Arizona locks up Jones. Panthers lock up Short. Ravens, ya we are hoping our pedestrian 2010' offers retain Williams and Wagner. Ya we are also excited about players we know will be with us until their rookie contracts are up. I would at this point be stoked if we freaking sign Lawrence Guy🤣
  5. I love our cap situation! Where is it even being spent? I don't need an article though, I'm well aware lmao Look on offense. You have Flacco as the highest cap hit in the league. Hands and Wallace getting paid good money and two past their prime TEs getting nice cash too. Nothing crazy though, we have no elite RB or WR contracts. On defense you have Jimmy, Weddle, Webb, Suggs, and Doom getting paid. The rest? Mosley and Jernigan both coming out of rookie deals next year, unless we 5th year option Mosley. The guise is that we have so much dead money still counting against the cap and we literally have little breathing room to improve the team. FO is to blame there. Homers there isn't much to explain there besides we need to make a huge difference with this draft class.
  6. Without getting crazy and extending past round 4. Best: Barnett, peppers, J.Lewis, Dorian Johnson Worst: Feeney, Anderson, King, Perine. Realistic: Charlton, Eiflein, Moreau, Moton.
  7. A lot of controversy has come from Desmond king and his value, but the combine will help there. If he runs in low 4.5 range I wouldn't even worry. King was a Thorpe award recipient a year ago and had 8 picks. No he won't be a shadow man coverage kind of guy, but the guy is a legit baller. He brings physicality, sound technique and ball skills. We run a lot of cover 2 and that's where he can thrive. If he is there round 2 it's a no brainer.
  8. This is pretty interesting lol I like it. If the best happened though, even four of those picks, I'd be so freaking happy.
  9. Speed kills but it all depends on position I suppose. I want a faster sexondary though we got toasted on some simple slant routes this year. If we want to contruct the AL Davis Raiders we could just draft based on the 40. JK side joke. No one will break the record but I like the chances of Ross and Jackson to post 4.3 range
  10. I agree fully but these numbers have literally come out of thin air. If we wouldn't pay KO more than 9. I highly doubt we would even entertain the idea. I think Wagner gets greedy and Williams takes a minor discount and he stays.
  11. We need an extension there to spread his cap hits over the next 2-3 years. He could be dangerous if Flacco bounces back and also clicks with Perriman
  12. The Ngata comparison is way too tough man. Ngata was a generational player and got paid his contract in 11' and still got $60 million which was a lot for the time. Williams might not be a rusher from the interior, but he is an anchor and makes his teammates jobs easier. I agree though $8-8.5 is fair and we don't have to worry about run defense falling off a cliff.
  13. I should have clarified. I'm referring to post SB. FA really isn't that big of a deal, but certain guys were either really old or only were here a year. My main point has been the contracts and the way they've been backloaded for years. Such as Flacco's, Ngata, Boldin, Monroe, Pitta, Jimmy, etc.
  14. Reddick to me doesn't seem likely to be there due to his recent pick up in steam, but that's the beauty of this class. There is literally so much talent, particularly on defense, that it is so hard to project players post top 15. I think we land another top 20 prospect like we did in 14' with Jernigan.
  15. Feeney is a guy we could get and not have to worry about development in footwork or holding penalties, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if a OL needy team grabbed him top 20. With Indy having grabbed C last year, I wouldn't be shocked if they took Feeney or Ramcyzk.
  16. As cynical as this is, I do agree. Fans can go back and justify things all they want and say "oh hindsight helps you see these things now, blah, blah, blah." Obviously drafts can't always be home runs, but we literally combined that with two horrible approaches. We signed some decent FAs, but mostly they were fossils that contributed for one year, except SSS who was amazing. The one irrefutable fact was that Ozzie consistently structured the contracts in a horrendous fashion. He kept going for the immediate cap relief now approach, but we will just kick the can down the road and back load these deals like crazy. This then led to massive cap hits in the later years of the contracts and the players wanting to get paid the money they signed for, therefore pay cuts were not really options. We then either had underperforming players having massive cap hits or we had a ton of dead money. Hello 2017, we are still in cap hell and have a decent roster that is no where near a semi-contender.
  17. I mean yes and no. It would have been worth it because he is a really good player and would have been exactly what we needed. While CB is a super valuable position, how many elite/very good LTs are there in the league currently? The answer is not very many. Stanley whether you want to believe it or not, had a great rookie year. He is not getting praise because he missed some time with a foot injury and had one bad game v Harrison which ultimately didn't matter as we won that game. He was the highest rated LT in the final stretch. Rookies typically don't have great years at LT, so if he excelled that well in year one, imagine what a full year of coaching and pro strength training could do for him?
  18. I mean it depends on who is there. A lot of this will come down to how many offensive players go. If 3 QBs go, both RBs, and at least 1-2 offensive lineman, we will be in great shape for top defensive talent. If not, the blue chip, immediate impact guys will dwindle and we will be best off trading back 4-8 spots and getting a other 2nd or third.
  19. Well Adams would be great and all but there is a bout a 5% chance it happens lol. I would however love Sidney Jones, Tim Williams, or even Charlton.
  20. I agree here completely. Especially with our ability to draft WRs 😆 The only one that could overcome the Ravens WR curse would be M. Williams and that is because he is a physically gifted freak. We have been called a linebacker factory and we are very good at defensive lineman too so with this amount of depth, we could easily pluck starters well into the 4th round. The two players that I absolutely pray we get are Sidney Jones or Barnett. I think they get picked right before us by Indy and philly but I hope Ozzie makes a move to get one if that were to happen.
  21. Realistically, there are only a handful of absolutely can't miss prospects at 16. excluding unrealistic options, For me, they are: Malik Hooker, Jamal Adams, Reuben Foster, Mike Williams, Fournette, Derek Barnett, Sidney Jones and Marshon Lattimore. Cook and Davis are borderline can't miss. But it depends on the offers made to trade back. Its in our best interest to land plug and play stud starters and to acquire as many picks inside the first four rounds. Any of he above players I would trade up 3-4 spots at the cost of a third rounder to get because I think each one is a likely pro bowl/ All-pro waiting to happen. But if that list is cleared. Let's trade back and I wouldn't even be mad if we did it twice inside the first two rounds to acquire an additional second or a couple of extra third rounders. If we have 4-6 picks in the top 100 picks in this class, we are likely coming into September ready to make some noise. At the end of the first there will be a lot of likely talent still sitting there like Gareon Conley, Cam Robinson, Dan Feeney, Budda Baker, Haason Reddick, Tim Williams, Sean McCaffrey, etc. we then would have the chance to combine a lot of talent in the second through the third with the trade back. Having the chance to nab talents like Jourdan Lewis, Carl Lawson, Desmond King, Kevin King, Pat Eiflein, Tyler Orlosky, Rasul Douglas, D'onta Foreman, Jabrill Peppers, etc.
  22. You have listed great players but your gage for when they are going seems very far off. Ramcyzk is likely the top OT in the class. Tabor and Humphrey are likely top 5 CBs in this class and Dan Feeney is the top guard in a year where a lot of teams are hurting at OL.
  23. If Ozzie doesn't get deals done with Williams or Wagner he better come prepared to make some moves in FA. Mangold would be one the best options easily. We could offer a 2-3 year deal worth 10-15 million maybe a little more and we have another anchor on the line for a run. He would be a great value pick up
  24. Save this mock because this looks like an Ozzie draft class haha he will pick up some gems in the middle rounds and select two questionable early picks, which both have upside, but do have their question marks. I love the Moreau and Moton picks. Humphrey is so tough to call. He will blow up the combine which will make it seem even better when we pick him because he is from a pro style system at alabama, has the size and is super aggressive. He is likely a very solid to good zone corner that plays the run and screen game very well, but he will get exposed in man coverage because savvy route runners make him look silly. For his size you would think he'd win more 50-50 balls, but that could just be due to lack of awareness.
  25. It has seemed and might even still seem unlikely, but I can 100% see it happening. Combine will launch up many athletic freaks. Hopefully they make it ahead of us. I could see a lot of teams putting too much into the numbers and Barnett could be our next pillar on defense. He's possibly the 4th or 5th best player in this draft. Only teams I could seriously see ruining the day are the saints and colts. I'm hopeful they take a corner or OL.
