If you mean Taquan Mizzell - in the highlights I saw, he is either really good or beat a lot of bad arm tackles. Either way, he can catch.

He's fast too. You don't get the nickname smoke for no reason. Only thing that might hold him back is his size. We will see if he makes the team. He doesn't seem scared so they better find a way to use him.

  2. We don't work around what we have. While a coach does have a system, it is their responsibility to adjust their system based upon the skill set of the players they control. We didn't amplify Jerrnigans talent and we gave a player a massive amount of money based on a base defense. Jerrnigan has John Randle like talent and he may very well be the most productive DT next year. Drafting is only part of the problem!

dumb move we should have gotten a pick for him not a swap this is the same crap that happened with zuttah we are just giving guys away for next to nothing can wait for eric to start running the show so we can start making some smart moves

It's cute that you think that it would have played out any different.  Moving up that far for a player whose role was being reduced and who will be gone next year is a huge bonus to the Ravens.

I agree. Get it now or lose. Theres no way we was getting a 4th round pick in 2019 for him.

We already lost when we gave Williams all of that money. We have to deal good talent so big muscle man can hoard money.

  4. Getting rid of Wallace will be the worst decision made by the front office since at least Boldin's trade to SF. The only reason Flacco was even reasonably average last year was thanks to Wallace's yards after catch and making TDs happen out of short slants. He is the only player on offense that could be termed a play maker. There is nobody else on this offense that is a playmaker (excluding the O-line and Yanda of course). Flacco has been terrible the past few years and the coaches don't want to run the ball. So, if Wallace is cut then I don't expect Flacco to have any improvement over last year's performance but in fact could be much worse. Flacco needs more Wallace like weapons not less. He doesn't need 3-5 yd dump offs to Pitta in a 3 and 8 yard situation. We need to cut Pitta immediately. He is the one we need to get rid off ASAP along with others like Wright, Webb, Kendrick Lewis, Arrington, maybe Dumervil, Watson but most definitely Pitta.

Great post. Perriman can be a playmaker too though. Let's hope that his catching improves and the coaches get creative with him.

  5. I think Ravens have enough depth at DT not to break the bank chasing Williams.

I want them to resign Wagner. Wagner (RT), Lewis (G), Stanley (LT) is a solid o-line. Add depth at C,G

Offload Webb, Doom, restructure Pitta cap hit

Get Stephon Gilmore or Kirkpatrick - just can't live with this secondary and J Smith is unreliable

    Draft one of these guys

Pass Rusher: Carl Lawson, Tim William, Charles Harris,
Safety: Malik Hooker, Eddie Jackson, Jamal Adams
    CB: King, Tabor, Jackson,White

I don't think Ravens need to pursue a receiver. Marty has not proven that his system is worth an investment with other needs.

I don't buy none of these guys can get open. I think Flacco can't find them. Aiken looked good once Smith Sr went down last season. Flacco just looks for the first read.

Harbs needs to make Joe have workouts with his receivers this offseason. Develop timing, hands, and deep throws. They, in particular Flacco, needs to put in the extra work and show leadership instead of every year going to the mike and telling people what's wrong with the offense.

Not that I like Marty at all, but Joe plays like a guy that does not prepare well. It's been that way for years even before the big contract.

I like your draft list but I don't understand what you see in Aiken. He looked good because everyone got hurt. Dude is as slow as mud and he doesn't have great hands. Flacco makes mistakes too but Aiken ain't bluechip

  6. Dixon and West are mediocre backs at best. They lack speed and West in particular can't catch (not helping Flacco out of the backfield like Ray Rice did). Players simply lack skill and talent at many positions. RBS can impact the game and control the game when playing a team like New England. Replace Ray Rice or continue to suffer offensively.

My only takeaway is that parting ways with Cory graham was a huge mistake. We can talk about coaching or officiating all day - that's what losers do. When you can't execute it's as simple as that. We can't run a two minute offense and we can't defend against one - I place that blame on the players. Get it done or go home. Competitors place blame on themselves.

Cory Graham was moved to safety and then benched.

Still better than wright or elam

Would someone be so kind as to schooling me on what position Ed reed played his entire career. All I was getting at was graham was instrumental during that SB run. I don't have enough time to watch him in Buffalo but just because someone moves to safety doesn't mean that they can't play corner. He has been on the field more than jimmy smith during the same period of time and me personally, I would have much rather seen graham on the field instead of jimmy high school buddy
