There have been several instances where his teammates have called his leadership into question. But carry on. Guess that happens with all great Qbs tho... Even Bisciotti came out and said "Joe is the leader now like it or not" read into those words and tell me what you deduce... Matter of fact, can you give me a few examples?  ...There's plenty you can find to support my claim. BTW the simple fact that they need to "take up" for his lack of leadership speaks volumes in itself. "I guess we didn't play well enough to win" - classic Joe.

  2. This comment proves you can't be taken seriously.  The only starting QB's that have a lower passer rating than Jump Ball  Joe are 6-0 Peyton Manning, 6-0 Cam Newton, 3-3 Nick Foles, 3-4 Andrew Luck and 3-4 Sam Bradford.  Although they are not playing well, I guess they do enough to not LOSE the game.  The RECORD says it all.  And guys like Bortles, Winston, Tannehill, etc., who are far outplaying Jump ball Joe, name all the weapons they have to throw to!

Funny how this McJacket dude claims to watch all these games can't even tell you the QBs names... Flacco fan boys sit down... your boy is as much of the problem as the injuries, defense, line, and poor coaching decisions. You have nothing to back up your argument except downplaying the importance of all the statistical data that backs up that he is just plain below average Joe.

  3. ... and then take into consideration what he has to work with and what he's being asked to do. I never look at things like QBR (nobody even knows what QBR is) or completion percentage (an outdated statistic that doesn't correlate with QB success at all).

Void of leadership has always been the fan myth, because fans like leaders who wave pom poms and scream in huddles. That's not leadership.

If we're being completely realistic, there's maybe 6-7 QBs in the league playing well right now. Brady, Rodgers, Dalton, Carson Palmer, and maybe a few other guys like Newton/Ryan/Wilson.

Other than that, QB play league-wide has been mostly garbage. There's nothing remotely impressive about guys like Brees, Manning, or Luck right now, and those are the "name" guys that people will probably classify as better. And the sad part is... they've mostly got high quality players up and down their offense.

So if I take into account that most of these guys are essentially the exact same, and consider what they have to work with and what Joe has to work with, I have no issue with him being in the top third of QBs league-wide right now. Again, I'd encourage people to actually watch the other games and see what other QBs are doing. If you're going straight to the box score for your information, you're already behind in the conversation.

Fan myth? Man I love you guys. Find me one time a TEAMMATE has stood up for Flacco's leadership. I can tell you Suggs, Lewis, and Reed have all been quoted on saying he needs to stand up and lead or "cuss somebody out". I guess their opinions don't matter either. It's pretty easy to understand QBR - it just puts more weight on scoring plays, 1st down completions, and other stats that lead directly to winning games. I watch Redzone every week so I can say I get a decent idea of how other QBs are playing. If you try to tell me you watch all the other games each week I'm calling a preemptive BS on that now. I see you strategically left out the INT point... So if you don't look at all those things... you know stats, wins, turnovers, leadership... Tell me why you DO think he's a top 10 QB when ALL signs point to the contrary...

  4. Watch more games. You'll find at least 20 on a weekly basis playing worse.

No way, Joe is in the bottom 3rd of QBs this year easily. Just look at QBR, TD/INT ratio, Comp %, and especially the 2 minute and 4th QTR stats... Basically what your saying is he's top 10, that makes you delusional. He is definitely PART of the problem. Add in the fact he is completely void of leadership and you have a mediocre QB... that once won a SB.

  5. I am convinced that no matter how poorly Joe plays or how risky the decisions he makes are he will still have a huge amount of "deflectors" come out to point the blame at anyone else that was involved in the play including the coach, OC, WR, lineman, ref etc... I've stopped letting it drive me crazy and just accepted it... They want to believe he is our leader and best guy on the team so let them have it...
