  1. Weddle and Webb as starting safties this guys might be pro-bowlers along with Jimmy Smith and Jerraud Powers as outside corners and l really like Tavon Young as a slot corner for us because when l look at his highlights on YouTube he's aggressive l would give him a chance to start. He looks like a feisty slot corner that will pick off a lot of balls and Will Davis can share.

I'm adopting a wait and see approach. Last I saw of Webbie he wasn't doing much at corner, even when moved to the slot. How well he transitions to safety is yet to be seen, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I don't know if he's physical enough at this point in his career to be a solid safety. Jimmy Smith wasn't worth anything last season, one can only hope that he bounces back to the form of two seasons ago.
Besides, none of them would be anywhere near the pro-bowl if we don't generate a better pass rush.

I know fans were upset with this signing. But I knew right away this guy was going to be the best signing. This reminds me of the Steve Smith situation in Carolina 2 years ago. Panthers didn't want him. Chargers didn't want Weddle. Both from University of Utah. Both are not the ideal size for their position but make up for it with big plays, hard work, and being leaders in the locker room.

Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall reading about fans upset w/ the Weddle signing.

You're right. I don't know where that's coming from...everyone was excited to get some secondary help.

  3. Brown has never really got the shot to show what he can do, so I'm not quick to write him off. Little spurts here and there is not enough for me to know what we have in Brown. I liked his speed and quickness to the ball when we drafted him...I thought he needed to get stronger. I guess this is his best shot at getting playing time here.

a shame no other team has given him a shot thus far. hopefully this is the year he gets one.

Exactly, the organization can bring him back to give a shame speech, but not give him an opportunity to suit up smh. After the 4th &29 smh @Ozzie @Biscotti @Harbuagh

My gut feeling is that Harbaugh doesn't want him. They'll have to force Rice on him. Seriously, we'll pick up career bums like Trent Richardson and won't give our own Rice a chance at redemption!!! If the Ravens don't give Rice a shot no one else would. This is the only team whose fans would cheerfully welcome him. Come on, just give the guy a chance!!! The Ravens would actually score a lot of 'loyalty points' if the gave ray Rice a shot as opposed to what they think. The tide has turned, most well-meaning people understand that Rice deserves another shot.
Do the right thing Biscotti, for all Rice meant to this team and community, he truly deserves a second chance a with the Ravens.

  5. Let me get this right, if the Ravens continually suck to the high heavens, I cannot call for Harbaugh's replacement because I can't arbitrarily pull out of my backside who his replacement should be. Did we already know Harbaugh would replace Billick when he was fired? The bottom line is that if you can't get the job done, someone else would get a shot at getting it done, and there's a process of vetting potential candidates.

  6. Oh please. One bad year of losing out of eight especially with a high amount of turnover, high amount of injuries and a huge amount of dead money not allowing you to sign anyone. And you do realize that Belichick was a joke of a coach for 5 years in Cleveland. Let's fire one of the best young coaches in the league - that's real smart. The Ravens should have fired Billick in 1999 right? After 3 straight losing seasons? While we are at it, why don't we just cut Flacco and save all that salary cap money. We can draft a QB and sign Alshon Jeffrey. Please. Have a little faith. And loyalty. Every team has a bad year.

That's where you're wrong buddy. The Ravens have been pulling this not showing up for games routine for a few years now under Harbaugh. There were the seasons where they consistently showed no life in the first halves, and then turn it on in the second half, and many people observed this maddening lack of focus. They gradually made a habit  of playing horrible football, and doing just enough to win games. Now, the well-rehearsed method of playing like crap the whole game, then scrambling at the end to pull out the victory is not paying dividends any more. Those ugly wins of years past have now morphed into perfect losses, and justifiably so. Given the lack of effort, it was only a matter of time. I maintain that I could embrace any outcome, win, lose or draw, as long as I see a team that plays with guts and intensity, and leaves it all on the field. What I would not accept is this persistent sleep-walking through games, regardless of the outcome too. I watch the Ravens play, then watch other games, and the glaring difference in intensity and sheer effort is mind-numbing. Even the pioneer Ravens teams under Billick that you referenced, played with great effort despite their glaring personnel deficiencies. They were as scrappy as can be. Besides, every situation is peculiar, pointing out coaches that eventually got it together has no bearing on Harbaugh's ineptitude. I could just as easily point out Coaches that never got it together or whose teams fared better after they were fired. At this point, it's plausible to say we've been hampered by injuries, but even before the injuries till this very moment, no one can honestly say this is a team that shows up and fights like heck for 60 mins. Far from it, they only play in spurts on both sides of the ball. Lastly, I never said anything about Flacco being relieved of his job, not sure where you manufactured that one from. He certainly needs a coach that would challenge him more and light a fire under him. Harbaugh has nothing else to offer the Ravens, never did. He was a figure head-coach under a Ravens team led by Ray Lewis, and whose timely arrival coincided with the arrival of Flacco and Rice to give the Ravens some stability on offense to go with an already stout defense. His primary job is to keep his team focused and determined, and he has failed to do that for a while now. Inevitably, he'll be fired....even if it takes one more horrible season.

  7. So, all of a sudden all your players decided to suck at the same time, maybe they called a meeting and decided to synchronize the suckage OR just maybe the system is broken. On a team that is lackadaisical across the board, lacks discipline, effort and accountability across the board, it is high time to take a good look at the head coach. On the play that Dumervil got flagged, the entire defense was in disarray, Jernigan did not even bother to move, but Upshaw took the cake...he turned and started walking off the field as the Jaguars snapped the ball. This is with the game on the line. That tells you all you need to know about the mindset and commitment of this team. Could any of this nonsense happen on a Belichick coached team? C'mon, there's a standard of discipline and dedication that used to be enforced around here!!It doesn't matter what players you bring into this sick environment, they'll adapt to the rot. People can neg me till eternity, but I'll be satisfied in knowing that I voiced my opinion early and often on the need to fire Harbaugh. As long as he remains here, the culture would not change. It needs to happen sooner than later. Personally, I'll start looking for a new head coach right now, but I'll let Harbaugh ride out the rest of this miserable season, then thank him for his efforts, wish him luck, and send him on his way at the end of the season.

  8. Also, it disturbs me that this team does not play to win, but plays not to lose...that to me is the most aggravating thing to watch. Say what you will about New England, but that is why they are, who they are, because they don't let up on any play, and they don't make stupid penalties, and they TACKLE, you have to respect that, even if you hate them.

Team is messed up psychologically, which is exactly why I want Harbaugh gone.
