I always knew the Squealers took this rivalry thing more serious than the Ravens did...u walk in the door and the coach asks you to pick a Raven to hate! That's awesome. I can see Billick doing something similar, but I don't think Harbaugh is wired like that.
Would've been funny if Wallace picked our long snapper or back up QB instead of Webb. Could see it now... Tomlin saying no Wallace, pick someone else lol
Hahahaaa..."pick someone else Wallace, before I assign you to Ray Lewis!"
Glad Dum will be back, big boost to a already pretty good rush w/Sizzle,Jernigan,Judon,Z.Smith,Pierce,Williams, etc
Now gotta have Stanley&Lewis for sunday. Oakland has Mack and Hurst cant block, he got Joe hurt last year. Not his fault. Got blocked into Joe.
Really? He had one job bruh, and he failed at it.

Guess he's trying to catch up to Phillip Rivers. Only 4 more to go!
Lol really? Rivers isn't playing around. In the end, we're all in awe of the man, the myth, the legend...Antonio Cromatie, who added babies number 11 and 12 last year, after having a vasectomy in 2013.
Ok, KO...we love you too.
Yeah, but Ramsey's comments came in the aftermath of Smith coming at him after the game. Smith, for all his likability can be very brash and confrontational, and I'm not shocked that anyone who feels disrespected by him would try to disrespect him in return.
Incorrect..... The comments came after Ramsey speared Smith in the back during a scrum on the field. I was there. Ramsey went after Smith and said "I got you"... Steve went back at him then and said "I'll see you after the game". It started way before that. Ramsey needs to be careful. This isn't the first time either... when you're on a team that is 0-3.... just sayin. He didn't shut Smith down either. Watch the video of Steve's 23 yard catch and run.
Lol this isn't Smith's first dust up, and won't be the last. Smith jumped into the scrum and got hit....like happens in a scrum. Smith was defending his teammate and Ramsey was defending his. I'm not impressed that he went looking for Ramsey after the game, and fortunately Ramsey did not react aggressively or we could be looking at a suspension of one of our best players right now.
It's interesting, isn't it, that when Elam dared the audacity to call Megatron "old", he got asll the heat from the complete NFL-scene - but now, when Ramsey does the same to Steve Smith, there is a debate? Even though Elam was much less harsh, itr was just this one remark, while Ramsey was obviously trying to be disrespectful?

Was gonna complain about some sloppy play, but I told myself "eat a snickers and be grateful for the win". Go Ravens.
Notwithstanding his 2 sacks, Jernigan has been solid but nothing spectacular. I've always rated him as a very good player that shows flashes of greatness, but I don't see much in these first two games to start gushing about his play.
Well, I'll just assume that the Ravens are still a work in progress, but it's better to be 2-0 while that progress is still being made. My fears about our secondary have been confirmed again...too many big plays, too many receivers just wide open.
The offensive line is also looking shaky, not awful but needs some work. Flacco took some big hits today(and last week) but he did well in absorbing the hit and completing the pass or getting rid of the ball as he got hit. OL hasn't created any running lanes either. Tucker is worth every dime of his paycheck, Micheal Pierce is a force in the middle, Pitta is back and I actually enjoyed Flacco's poise today.
RIP Coach. He had a great presence and it was always easy to see how much his players loved him.
Yeah, Pees did call a good game for a change. We were aggressive when we needed to be and he mixed things up a bit. Still don't trust him enough to keep it up.
Whenever I think of the all black unis, I remember Bart Scott tossing the refs flag into the stands in a game against New England...hahahaa the Mad Backer was possessed by those unis!!
Come on folks! You know Black on Black is the second best. Purple Jersey with Black pants is by far the best uniforms we have ever worn.
Right on! The purple jersey over black pants is by far the best look for me. I simply hate the all whites. The all blacks never did much for me either... never got the whole "it looks menacing" thing. More than anything, it makes us look like the freaking Jaguars! The Purple rain unis might be a hit, let's wait and see!
Get the facts straight. Baltimore Ravens have been around longer and since before Jaguars. If anything, Black on Black they look like the Ravens.
Ok, Mr. Fact-Checker. The Jaguars came into the NFL in 1995 while the Ravens came in 1996...so, they've been around longer. Secondly, the Jags started wearing the all black in 2002, while the Ravens debuted the all black in 2004.

It's okay to disagree with them, they are not infallible.
but lets wait for their decisions play out before panning them for it - there were always gonna be players we liked getting cut - so there will always be questions but lets not suggest that as fans we have more answers than them... at least until they're proved wrong
I agree.
I'm not a football expert, or a coach but I feel like camp should have been cut. Butler take his place. Terrence brooks should be on the team. This team is scared of a hard hitting safety. Mabye I'm wrong.
Let's defer to the coaching staff - the professionals who see more than we do (and can see the possibilities better than we can).

Gotta keep Pierce. He's got incredible strength(just checked out his YT video where he's putting up some really impressive numbers in the weight room, and tossing players around like dolls on the field). Yes, I'll keep him even at the expense of Davis, who is solid but doesn't show the play making ability or the capability to flat out over power the opponent as Pierce displays. We need DTs that can consistently be disruptive at the line, and I don't see much of that from the guys we have now.
I always liked Kamar, he's consistent.
Let's roll!!!
I really like Camp's skill set. Let's get it.
My boy Pitta runs some crisp routes and catches everything thrown around him. If he stays healthy, none of those guys is beating him to the starting job.
I still think that secondary is a problem! Ok, we got Weddle, but who is going to be the other safety? Webb? I don't think he has the physicality to be an effective safety at this point in his career. How about corners? We got Jimmy Smith who played like crap last season, and who else do we have at corner?
I'm also hoping the offensive line holds up, especially on the left side.
Give Flacco a guy like consistent guy like Todd Heap again. A LT like Johnathan Ogden. And a stellar defense again, and we are definitely SB contenders back to back.
Harbaugh has ripped this team of its talent and structure.Harbaugh coaches the players Ozzie signs, Harbs isn't calling the shots on who we sign and what not. It takes a couple years to build a roster, and I think we are going in the right direction. We will be a force shortly, and that could be as soon as this season.
Coaches have input in the players their teams pick up, especially long serving coaches like Harbaugh. Ozzie doesn't just pick up players and drop em' off for Harbaugh and tell him to make it work. If you want him to make it work, you'll have to get and respect his input about the kind of players it would take to make it work.

Indeed, the defense is playing harder this year. Many of us here protested endlessly about the lack of effort in the past couple of seasons...and it was truly disgusting to watch, especially after watching other teams play. It also helps that some of the major culprits like Canty and Upshaw are gone, both of whom I observed at different times loafing around as the play unfolded right next to them. So far this season, I've seen great effort(mostly), and when players have been beat it hasn't been for a lack of effort(well, I would have liked Webb to hustle harder to the play when Wright got beat deep against the Browns...he was in position to disrupt that pass). In any case, greater tests lie ahead, let's hope our D rise to the challenges with even greater effort.
