  1. If Flacco lets the play clock run out just one time this Sunday, I'm going to run onto the field and yank him out myself. I'm sick of that rubbish! Yeah, have the Ravens learnt to pass rush yet? Has Pees learnt how to surprise anyone with pressure? I shed purple tears when I watch other teams play attacking defense...what is life???
  2. Ravens tend to play with more spirit against the Steelers because the rivalry gives them impetus to perform. If only Harbaugh could find a way to get them to duplicate this effort against other teams I won't be calling for his head as much as I do.
  3. Good, let them come back, but till the Ravens rid themselves of Harbaugh and his cast of incompetent coaches, there will be little progress made. Harbaugh has always been clueless, he lost the team early and often when he arrived Baltimore. His only saving grace being that Ray Lewis never joined any of those mutinies, and was always there to get everyone back in line. Harbaugh was told on NFL network by former Ravens coaches that he hasn't coached yet till he tries to coach a team without Lewis...look at this team now. Not so much like the Ravens of old, but a headless chicken without direction. There's no form of leadership, they're are outcoached in every game, they don't surprise anyone with anything they're doing and cannot adjust to what their opponents are doing to save their lives. Players lack discipline, there's no cohesion, and sometimes they look downright confused by what the opponent is doing. Let's get real, this season is lost, and so will the next one be if we don't end the era of cluelessness and incompetence in Baltimore. It is time to change direction, and a smart front office would start preparing for that move right now, even as Harbaugh oversees his final season.
  4. Are you serious?
  5. Everyone said we overpaid Flacco...they were right. Hadn't seen a decent QB around here in a while, finally got a barely average one, got overexcited, and emptied the bank account on him.
  6. Incredible! Harbaugh's mediocrity, tip-toeing and let's-just-get-by attitude has infected even the media. After losing 3 straight in the fashion they did, and looking at the tougher schedule that lies ahead, if this is not considered a must-win game, I wonder why the Ravens should even bother showing up for games. I'm disappointed in this write-up.
  7. This is great, I wan't Flacco to sit. It's about time we found out what's truly the cause of this anemic offense. The best thing that can happen for everyone, Flacco included, is for Mallet to start and play well.
  8. Somebody get this man some Dos Equis!! Harbaugh is a fraud.
  9. Well, expectedly they're going to spin it to seem like Trestman was all wrong and Marty is all right. I don't put much stock in all these stuff, I only believe what my eyes see on Sundays.
  10. Man, we're beat up. The drop off from Mosley to McClellan was quite apparent in the last game, then almost our entire OL is hobbled...good luck out there Joe.
  11. I'm already having nightmares...Jimmy can't cover ODB!! I pray we have some success rushing the passer or we're toast.
  12. The hammer hiteth the nail...I agree.
  13. Harbaugh is still here? Bummer.
  14. Preach brotha!! I couldn't have said it better myself. We will not win another Super Bowl as long as Horri-baugh is our coach as well as Dean Pees running our D. Harbaugh's record is inflated by the greats, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed Absolutely right. Just look at Dean Pees today...it was obvious early in the 3rd that our front 4 couldn't generate any pressure on Cousins, he got comfortable and started shredding. Did Pees do anything to bring more pressure, any adjustments? Absolutely none! We lined up in the same base defense and let Cousins pick us apart.
  15. No run game? Nah man, we had a solid run game going...I guess you gotta defer to more passing when you fall behind on the score...or whatever today's excuse is.
  16. No one should fault Mosley, he was trying to make the most of the play...which is more than can be said of many other players on this team. If we had a functional offense, perhaps he would have opted to step out of bounds and let the offense punch in the routine TD. We all know, our offense would have likely settled for a FG even from that spot. Hence, I don't blame Mosley for going for it...just had a bad break. I can't even believe Harbaugh had the temerity to call him out for it...then again he's proven to be a master of deflection in his regrettable tenure here.
  17. Well, the Ravens are terrible. In all my years of watching professional sports, I've never seen a team who's MO is to simply hang around, keep the score close, and then try to win it at the last possible minute. Sleepwalk through the game, and only play with any focus and intensity at the very end. It's been this way for a few years now...I can count on one hand the few Ravens players that bring it every game. My Redskins buddy was shocked when I told him that we were actually expecting to win the game at the very end...he was alarmed because he thought we mailed it in since the 3rd quarter and it was going to take a great deal of luck for us to score on that final drive. I had to explain to him that we frequently win(when we do win) that way...preferably with a last minute FG. I keep asking, and I've never gotten a satisfactory answer; what good is John Harbaugh if he cannot consistently field a determined and motivated team? I sincerely believe Harbaugh has shredded the cherished identity of this team, and it would take some serious work to undo the psychological damage. We're living on past glories, and I'm not even fooled by Harbaugh's lofty win-loss record...I watched all those games and personally witnessed the steady decline of the Ravens. Of course, had we scored on that last drive, Harbaugh would show up to extol 'his team' for a hard fought victory, he'll remind us how truly great of a team the Redskins are...blah blah blah. I've often wondered if he believes some of the words that come out from his own mouth. Someday, one inevitable day, we'll be free of Haarbaugh's clutch...what a great day it would be!! I don't know about anyone else, but I've been done with his shenanigans for a few years now.

  19. Ouch! I was thinking the same thing too...why would Forsett at this stage in his career, as a RB nonetheless, forfeit a guaranteed spot on an NFL roster to head into the open market at this point of the season. After all, with the Ravens, he's only one good game away from regaining the starting job...unless, the team pretty much thinks he's done. in hindsight, the way they dangled him out there during that roster maneuvering suggests they were comfortable with losing him. He could get luck and land somewhere, but I highly doubt he initiated this move as reported.
  20. Reminds me of when Rice snagged the starting job from McGahee, he landed with the Broncos and still had a couple of pretty good seasons...even made the pro bowl. Forsett might find his groove elsewhere too.
  21. Classy fella, I believe he has a lot of game left.
  22. Lol...seems like everyone is sick of Trestman, just like the good people of Chicago were sick of him. But who hired Trestman? The same 'clueless one' that hired Greg Mattison, Cam Cameron and the fan favorite Dean Pees.
  23. I don't know why Ravens keep thinking they can win with garbage at cornerback.
  24. Didn't watch the game, but I'm sure it was the typical display of offense going to sleep when defense is playing well, and vice-versa.
  25. I actually would have loved to keep Upshaw and rarely questioned his motor but Mclelan is doing a fine job setting the edge while playing less than half he snaps opening up playing time to the young guns. Yeah, McClellan is playing well. I don't even mean to disparage Upshaw now that he's gone, he did have some good moments...it's just there were a few times he left me dumbfounded at his lack of effort. One play that really annoyed me had two of our DBs around the 5 yard line fighting to keep someone out of the end zone, Upshaw is standing right next to them and does nothing to help as they are dragged into the end zone. Again, against the Jags last season...on that last play that did us in, while everyone was scrambling to get in place, Upshaw just walks off the field as the Jags snapped the ball...didn't bother to rush the passer or cover anyone. Of course, losing as we did amplified his nonchalance.
