  1. Rodgers throwing to Beckham would just wouldn't be fair to other teams.
  2. And there goes the first corner. I'm actually a bit surprised that someone went for a defensive back in the first round. I was expecting all QBs and linemen.
  3. I think Carter will end up as the main kick and punt returner for the Ravens.
  4. I think Mariota has a chance to be pretty good it the Titans make it a point to have a really good running game and ease him into things. Like what the Seahawks did.
  5. There is one big difference between those two and Manning, they don't have a major neck injury. They're old by football standards, but Manning could be one solid hit away from retirement.
  6. Maybe. But I didn't want to risk it and end up with nothing but backups and people who should be backups left at qb, like Cutler.
  7. Out of the QBs left, RG3 seemed the best bet. I still think he has the ability to win big for a team, if you put in an effort to surround him with the right people.
  8. With the 19th pick the Homers select: Quarterback, Robert Griffin III
  9. When it comes to Brees, it depends on how you're picking. He'd be low on the list if you wanted a franchise quarterback due to his age. He's only got maybe two years left in him.
  10. Well, to win in the NFL you need a quarterback and the ability to take out opposing quarterbacks. Donald could possible be the best interior pass rusher in the league this coming season.
  11. I like Tannehill and think that if he's given a good offensive line, he can win big games. I was kinda hoping people would underrate him and he'd slide to my pick. It was a long shot though.
  12. Um, 11 touchdowns to zero interceptions in a playoff run, and a ton of playoff victories. He's a dropped pass from likely having 2 rings. If I was picking a QB to build a team around, Flacco would be 2 on my list behind Rodgers.
  13. The Homers Head Coach: Sean Payton OC: Pat Shurmur DC: Kris Richard Offense 14 QB: RG3 RB: Tre Mason, Javorius Allen WRs: Brandon Lafell, Eddie Royal, Rod Streater, Kamar Aiken LT: Jermon Bushrod LG: Ben Jones C: Alex Mack RG: La'el Collins RT: Derek Newton TE: Gronk, Lee Smith Defense 15 DE: Jason Jones, Wallace Gilberry DT: Brandon Williams DT: Brandon Mebane, Carl Davis DE: George Johnson OLB: Vic Beasley MLB: Chris Kirksey OLB: Jelani Jenkins CB: Byron Maxwell, Dezmen Southward S: Duron Harmon, Bradley McDoogald S: Rashad Johnson CB: Tramaine Brock Special teams K: Steven Hauschka
  14. Yeah, no sense in delaying any further if the first pick is ready.
  15. Do the rookies of this year's draft count as pickable players?
  16. Allen will bring something the Ravens running attack was missing, a home run threat. He can make people miss and break tackles a lot better than Forsett, plus I think he's faster. Forsett's awareness and ability to hit the hole quickly gives him a high yards per carry, but he isn't the type of rb that'll dodge a linebacker and then run for a fifty yards for a touchdown without getting caught from behind. Allen on the other hand has the potential to make that kind of play, as well as do more with screen passes and dump offs.
  17. Team name: The Homers
  18. Might have to accept that we won't get 32 people involved.
  19. DeAndre Carter could be the guy to fill that role. Fast, small, hard to tackle, and plays with a fearless mindset. He seems like the right type, assuming he can properly field kicked balls.
  20. The thing about Brown is that it seems like he can never separate himself from his competition. By all rights he should have been one of the top receivers for the team last season. He stepped up when there wasn't anyone else. And yet Aiken and (when healthy) Camp constantly seemed to beat him out for playing time. If he has another rough preseason, Waller or Butler could take his spot. If he doesn't step it up and actually shine vs his competition, then he's leaving the door open for that possibility.
  21. Has that ever worked out? Fans suggest it every offseason, but I've yet to see a young player stowed away on IR ever actually play great afterward. They're usually gone in a couple seasons.
  22. It partly comes down to the fact that the Ravens don't have many options. SSS really shouldn't be the top guy again, we saw last year that he slowed down a bit as the season went on. Brown hasn't dealt with press coverage all that well in the past, and Camp is a slot receiver. It's between Perriman and Aiken, so they're giving the big play receiver his shot at being the top guy.
  23. We also didn't have an OC who usually gets a lot out of big WRs, and we didn't have SSS to help out. This is probably the best moment in franchise history to take on project WRs.
  24. That was actually the same flaw for Ngata, which is why he fell to the Ravens instead of being a top five pick. The Ravens' DL coach seems to know how to light a fire under people.
  25. One thing about drafting HCs though, you should be allowed to draft any coach, not just guys that are current NFL HCs. You can get a positional coach, a coordinator, or a college coach. That might make it more interesting.
