  1. It seems Collins isn't even considered a person of interest anymore with his potential legal issues, and I doubt he's the type that'll get into trouble. He's an athletic, durable mauler who does well as both a run blocker and a pass blocker. And I'm willing to start a rookie RG when he'll be next to Alex Mack. Considered using this gif instead of that picture but it's kinda hard to tell who's Collins at first. Still, here's a gif of him getting three pancakes on one play: By the way, my line is now complete: LT: Bushrod LG: Ben Jones C Alex Mack RG La'el Collins RT Newhort. I'm pretty happy with that line and think they'll do very well in the run game, and a solid job of pass blocking.
  2. With the 430th pick in the draft, The Homers select: La'el Collins, G/OT
  3. Well, if City gets back online and Truth also makes his pick, I'm ready with mine.
  4. Yep, I checked. Taken in round 7 by Berad.
  5. While we wait for more picks, here's something that may entertain you guys for a bit: Really hoping that's a troll, but I've seen enough crazy people for it to be believable.
  6. Wow, surprised this guy was still on the board. Figured he'd go right after Leon Sandcastle.
  7. Reid is one who would probably be better off retiring, honestly. That many concussion at that age? Yeah, he has a good reason to be worried. Must suck to be the 49ers coach though. If he pulls an 8-8 season out of them, he should get a coach of the year award.
  8. I had other options in mind for receivers. Though if I had gotten a QB known for his arm strength, Perriman would have been my pick instead of Lafell in the previous round.
  9. I'm not that surprised Perriman was still around. WR is a very deep position in the NFL, and you need to find ones that match your QB's style. Plus taking rookies can be a bit riskier than veterans. Though in this case, that's a good pick. He's the perfect compliment to Bortles cannon arm. Also if Perriman lives up to his potential, him and Cooks could be very hard to defend against.
  10. Well, he said the offensive linemen won't get a shot, so I guess we'll be seeing the defensive line return kicks in practice? Brandon Williams could totally take it back for a touchdown.
  11. Well, it's now 1:46pm here, and I'm ready for picks. ...unless it's someone picking the guy I want next.
  12. But someone else could pick Patricia or McDaniels to be their HC. That one is unlikely, but possible.
  13. Jim Harbough seems to be a good quick fix, but the 49ers kinda fell apart on him after a couple seasons, and he just can't keep a team in line the way John does. You can definitely do worse than Jim for a coach, but he seems better suited as someone's backup option, not as the third HC to be picked.
  14. Pick is in. Jones is an above average guard in my opinion, who definitely helped Foster rack up those rushing yards. I like the combination of him and Alex Mack together. I think we can also get college coaches that haven't been in the NFL.
  15. With the 403 pick in the fantasy draft, The Homers select: Ben Jones, OG
  16. It'll be interesting to see if and when the Ravens' rookies end up being picked.
  17. That gif of him is great. And there goes back to back rookies.
  18. For a bit I was actually considering making the two tightend set be my base offense with Gronk and Gillmore. Good pick there. I think over time he'll prove to be one of the more versatile tight ends the Ravens have had.
  19. Greco was high on my list as well. Good pick.
  20. So when Peppers is in the game, it would basically be a 5-2 defense.
  21. I was wondering when he'd go. McClain is a bit of a gamble, but if he stays on the straight and narrow, and keeps playing like that he'll be great.
  22. I fully admit that if I could do it over again, I'd probably pick someone other than RG3. I wanted to avoid taking a rookie or someone in their mid thirties, and for some reason, RG3's the first name that stuck out to me. I completely forgot about the existence of Nick Foles (who I would have taken instead). Actually, had I known people on here didn't value Foles all that much, I would have gone with Odell Beckham in the first and Foles in the second, instead of the combination of RG3 and Gronk. Part of the reason why I know have a short list of players at each position. Oh well. With any luck, I'll be able to get RG3 to play like he did in his rookie season with a focus on the run and letting him roll out to hit receivers on intermediate routes. I still think he could do alright if he had a more flexible OC. For Beasley, yeah. I want him to be my Von Miller. A great pass rushing LB that I can easily move around to exploit wherever the weakest spot of their O-Line is. I could even switch him to MLB on passing downs to blitz the A gap. And since other teams can't double team both Brandons, I'm thinking whoever is going against a guard one on one can get some pressure on the qb. Not a sack, but they can hurry him into a throw at least, and help Beasley run free through their line.
  23. Yes, yes, give in to your hatred. Join the dark side.
  24. There were a few WRs I was considering to be my first pick at the position, but I had to go with a proven combination. Gronk and Lafell combined for over 2,000 yards last season, and I think Lafell will continue to be a very good complimentary piece to Gronk.
