  1. My prediction is for the top receivers going into the season is that Perriman and Aiken will be the main outside receivers with Smith working the slot. Due to his age and the way he got worn down last season, I think the Ravens will look to limit SSS a bit, rather than using him as an every down outside receiver. Onto the topic of Camp, I think if Carter shows the ability to return kicks and punts, then he takes Camp's position. He's more than capable of being a good, backup slot receiver, and he's less likely to get injured.
  2. While I wouldn't put Pagano as one of the best head coaches, I will give him some credit for helping to turn around the Colts after Manning got injured and released. That team could have gone down the drain in a hurry with another head coach.
  3. Personally, I don't think players should be suspended for weed. It's not like it gives them a competitive edge. That said though, when you're getting paid a ton of money and that's one of the conditions, then you should probably not smoke. Seems like it should be an easy choice.
  4. Pretty happy to have landed Rod Streater this late in the draft. It's true he was hurt for most of last year, but during his first two seasons he did pretty well considering the lack of talent Oakland had at QB. Also, he seems like he'll be a great compliment to Gronk.
  5. With the 686th pick in the draft, The Homers select: Rod Streater, WR
  6. With back to back picks from the Lions (at least they both played for the Lions last season) my front seven is finished. I'm happy with how it turned out. I got large maulers in the middle that should keep anyone from being able to run up the middle against me. They'll also let my linebackers roam freely. Beasely, Jones, and Johnson can all apply pressure on the quarterback. My other two linebackers are great in coverage, capable of chasing down and bring down most running backs, and can be good blitzers when I want to bring extra pressure.
  7. With the 658th pick in the draft, The Homers select: Jason Jones, DE
  8. In a 3-4 scheme, Ray would have to be OLB. There's no way he could be a 3-4 DE. Honestly, I'd have him as a LB even in a 4-3.
  9. Thought so. Sadly he seems to be away now.
  10. How long is Ravensnick's pick time?
  11. Cundiff has always had a fairly low field goal percentage compared to other kickers.
  12. You may have posted this in the wrong thread. Just a guess.
  13. For me, it's AFC Championship game or bust. With practice squad players in the secondary, the Ravens still came incredibly close to beating the Pats in New England again. Now that that there's been some added depth to the DBs, I fully expect another deep run.
  14. On the issue of who could replace Pees, there's Ted Monachino. He's been a great linebacker's coach for the Ravens for the last five years and he has plenty of experience coaching defensive lineman as well. Not saying that I think he would be flat out better than Pees right away, but he could prove to be a good DC for the Ravens.
  15. To the Jay Ajayi pick, if he knee proves to be able to handle running in the NFL, he'll be one of the best RBs in the league. At this point, it was worth taking a shot on him. Good pick.
  16. Nice pick in Bowe. He's a good possession receiver to have on the team.
  17. Actually, we have had someone draft a kicker. As for it adding rounds, with just picking the eleven starters for offense and defense, we'll have 22 rounds. You're now adding three more positions to pick with the coaches. So it'll be 25 rounds.
  18. Alright, then for next year, we just need to say from the beginning that we're drafting HCs, OCs, and DCs and you can pick them whenever through the draft. It'll only add a few rounds, so it's not that big of a change.
  19. It's no more titled towards the top than the draft is in general. Obviously the team with Aaron Rodgers will have an advantage over the team with Blake Bortles. But there should be enough at least average coaches for people to be okay with who they end up with.
  20. Obviously things can't be changed too much for this years game since it's already nearly over, but for next year it might be a good idea to have set rounds for the coaching staff. Either have the first three rounds for picking coaches (HC, DC, OC in whatever order you want) and then trying to make a team that matches them, or the final three round, where you try to pick the coaches best suited for your team.
  21. Eh, we've already had someone pick a kicker, so why not coordinators? The play callers (assuming the HC or QB isn't doing it) do have a major effect on the team after all.
  22. For the Marlon pick, honestly there's two Ravens' receivers left that I'd consider better than Marlon Brown. However, one of them is injured more often than not so I can understand avoiding him. On coordinators, we really should have held off until the teams were filled and then allowed people to pick coordinators. Either way though, we need to make a clear rule on it before even more picks come in. Just a simple yes you can or no you can't pick them. And honestly, I'm going to change my mind on the poaching idea and say no to that. People had over twenty rounds to pick a HC. If they haven't and a guy they like gets snagged an a OC/DC, then that lost out.
  23. Just thought of something, Chip Kelly and Rex Ryan on the same team. Damn, that team is going to be a three ring circus.
  24. Johnson hasn't exactly had an amazing career, but last year when he was really allowed to be one of the main rotational guys for the first time he had a really good season. Ended up with 6 sacks, and was good at applying pressure off the edge even when he didn't get the sack itself. He should prove to be atleast an above average starter if he continues playing like he did last season.
