  1. For guys that could believably be available at 16, my top options are Barnett and Corey Davis. For me, it's either those two, one that surprisingly slipped, or a trade back.
  2. It would be pretty amazing if we got someone great in the first, and then managed to snag Jones in the 2nd because of his injury.
  3. Thanks for changing the closing date. I know a lot of us really enjoyed talking about draft prospects on here, so it is nice to go through one more draft on the board.
  4. Figured another one was due now that the combine was over with. Round 1: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan This pick is largely about team fit. Davis fits the Ravens like a glove in terms of mentality and the role he fills. He's the guy that will make the plays to keep drives alive. His change of direction speed is a lot better than most guys his size, giving him the ability to quickly get open. Most importantly, he tracks the ball very well and fights hard for the catch (a bit like Boldin). He can be the Mr. Reliable that you keep feeding the ball to while Perriman and Wallace act as the big play guys on the opposite side. Round 2: Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Colorado A solid athlete with great instincts. The guy can fit any defensive scheme, and has experience on the outside and in the slot. The only reason he'll still be available is because of how stacked the class is at DB. Pick him, and if someone gets injured slide him into the starting role without any worries. Also, as an added bonus, he's pretty good at timing the snap count when blitzing. Round 3: Jordan Willis, edge, Kansas State A tremendous athlete that's only scratching the surface of his potential. He could be a very solid player in the NFL after a bit of experience and learning from one of the best (Suggs). Even if he doesn't become some world beater the combination of him and Judon will give the team a solid passrush that doesn't depend on focusing on a single side. Round 3 (comp): Isaac Asiata, G, Utah A powerful interior lineman that plays with a nasty streak a mile wide, and puts that into every single play. He reminds me a bit of Yanda in terms of his playstyle (though Yanda is of course on a different level). He fits what the Ravens are looking for out of interior linemen very well and can really help open up interior running lanes. Round 4: Tanzel Smart, DT, Tulane He'll get overlooked due to his measurables, but he's a solid all around player. He plays stronger than his size suggests, has very good hand movements, and like his name suggests he's got a very high football IQ. He won't be an every down DT, and will probably be on the field more for passing situations. But he's another overlooked, small school player that could shine in the Ravens' defense. Round 5: Tarik Cohen, RB, North Carolina A&T He's the type of guy that just makes great things happen in the open field, and has enough top end speed to make any play into a touchdown. At the NFL level he won't be taking too many handoffs, but he's perfect for a hybrid receiving back and slot receiver. Also he has experience returning the ball. He'll be used in the same way as guys like Sproles and Dion Lewis. Round 6: Xavier Woods, SS, Louisiana Tech A solid tackler to add to special teams.
  5. There's always the chance that that report was just bs. False rumors due tend to pop up around this time of year.
  6. Chris Georges did a two round mock early today over on NFL.com. He had the Ravens taking Barnett and Kupp.
  7. I think that Cooks trade is good for both teams. The Saints get more picks in a stacked draft to help rebuild their team while send Cooks out of the conference. And Pats are loaded for another run in the near future.
  8. History of domestic violence and animal abuse.
  9. Williams is one of those guys that makes the jobs of everyone around him much easier. There's a reason there was a small bidding war for him. Hell, in the past Ray pounded the table to get a great NT to play in front of him.
  10. Carl Davis just isn't that good. There's a reason you didn't hear anything from him last season.
  11. They only have to eat that 16 mil for one season, in a year they have a ton of cap room. It's worth it to potentially land a starter for the next four years out of the second round.
  12. A lot of people mocked them for bringing in a baseball guy as their gm, but his strategies for them has actually been good so far.
  13. They probably don't. they only really took him for that future 2nd round pick, and so they don't have to rush a rookie QB into starting.
  14. No. The Ravens aren't going to touch him with a ten foot pole.
  15. Moving Webb to CB would be a mistake. He lost too much speed from injuries to still play CB. If he's okay with a pay cut he could be a great backup safety.
  16. The Jags seem like they're constantly trying to invest into their d-line, but it's been pretty hit or miss for them so far.
  17. Woodhead is mainly to replace Juice as a good pass blocker and a great checkdown option. All things considered, it's a decent pickup.
  18. Even with improving the safety position we still need CBs. We could still take a flyer on Jackson. Weddle is up there in age, so Ozzie might want to get a guy that can step in for him in a couple years.
  19. Judon is probably penciled in at the moment.
  20. I hate the idea of using Facebook or Twitter to have actually conversations with people about things like the draft. The site setup for them really doesn't suit that.
  21. I probably would.
  22. Aside from Phillips and Qualis I'd be okay with this draft. Great edge rusher, mauler guard, and a very good chain moving WR. The problem with Qualis is that we already have our plan B to replacing Williams in Pierce. I think we could get a better DT in the fourth, someone that's decent against the rush and has some upside against the pass.
  23. While I wouldn't bet on it, I do think its possible. There are teams that either just missed the playoffs or got eliminated early that might give up a late 2nd round pick for a guy they think can get them over the hump. Cunningham, Ross, Lattimore, or one of the QBs could be seen as valuable enough for that kind of trade up.
  24. I can see that as a possibility. Due to his potential I could even take him at 16 in a less stacked draft class. It's just that with this specific class, he'll be there in the twenties, and we can get an extra pick out of it. Though I wouldn't hate taking him at 16. i just think there's ways to get more value.
  25. I wouldn't take Watt at 16, but if we could trade back I'd be okay with taking him in the mid twenties.
